Hi All,

I guess I am just looking for some ideas on what my 8 months old DS can eat... I feel I am always giving him the same things and would like to give him some variety, especially for breakfast and lunch...

At the moment he has:

Rice Cereal/Museli - with or without fruit
Banana
Avacado
Puree fruits ie apples & pears
Jars of Gel
Vegies for dinnerHave steered clear of custards & yoghurts for the time being because he was unsettled after a custard once and because I am lactose intolorant, I don't want to push them yet...

Thanks for any advice

With varying degrees of success I offer little dude tofu and pureed chicken mixed with fruit and veggies.

steamed asparagus so he can hold it (very cheap at moment)
baked beans - can get tiny tins of reduced salt ones
pieces of watermelon
summer stone fruits either poached or raw
tuna, chicken, try making a tomato sauce with onion & garlic to stop it being dry
If you are ok with wheat pasta is easy and slices of toast to suck on

If goats milk is ok then try some goats cheese (a mild one) mixed with veggies
Bolgnaise sauce? meat balls

my DS is 7 months and a big eater and we were advised by ECHC nurse to give breakfast and 2 savoury meals, followed by dessert if still hungry...dessert to be fruit or custard or yogurt.

Hope some help:)

What about little pieces of toast for brekky and sandwich fingers for lunch.
Cheesesticks were also a winner for mine.
