Hi girls, We are heading to Sunshine beach for a much needed family getaway.

Who wants to share their local knowledge with me? We want to do and see as much as possible so I'd love to hear of your favourite Restaurants and places to visit.

Restaurants :confused: that was pre-baby for me!!

Fav places:

Waterfall at Buderim
Mooloolaba Spit - great fish and chips + Underwater world
Markets but that is me!

Kawana Hotel is a good place to take kids, they have a playground and games room to keep them amused and its right on the water. Kids love going to the warf at Moloolaba, lots of yummy ice cream shops. Go to the Plaza in Marocchydore but allow a whole day and wear good walking shoes! There is so much to do up here, i have lived here 5 years and still finding lots to do! Have fun!

Yeah we take the boys to Resturants, they cope well for the first hour, as long as we have lots of colouring books they are set. We'll make sure we check out the Kawana Hotel - sounds great :thumbsup:

Oh I have heaps!!

Farmers Markets at the Noosa AFL club on Weyba Rd, every Sunday morning, don't have breakfast beforehand!

The Harbour Master on Noosa River (down at Harbour Town) has $10 lunches every day - like Barrumundi etc. We often take our kids there - it's not "high" dining but very kid friendly!

Berados on the Beach (Hastings St) for breakfast :thumbsup: or lunch :D

Strawberry picking at Strawberry Fields with an icecream afterwards is good fun at this time of year. Prices are about $10 a kilo - good fun. Other side of the highway from the Etamoogah Pub (take that exit).
Stroll along the Noosa River - you can catch the ferry but it's a bit pricey... I think $17.50/adult.
Ginger Factory at Yandina if they are into the gingerbread man - I think $12 gets kids over 3 and adults a boat ride and a train ride.
