View Full Version : Yuky Belly Button Question??
My lil 3.5 month bubby boy has a flaky belly button i have tried cotton buds and warm soapy water to clean it but if doesnt work..
Does any one have any ideas??
You could bath him in QV Wash / Oil.
It's for dry sensitive skin. It's good for cradle cap also.
It works quickly and effective.
my lil man had very dry flaky skin when he was born and for about two weeks, I used baby oil and that did the job.
I havent tried that one..mite give it ago.. i have tried oil and a few iferent other products aswell. Its weird cuz he doesnt have dry skin anywhere else..
My bubs was the same. Nice skin all over but his belly button was dry and crusty.
The QV worked really well. We now use it as his normal bath wash everyday. It's gentle and safe to use daily, even for the whole family.
My lil one had it too.. at some stage. I Used alil baby oil on a cotton bud and cleaned it that way. It worked really well. My midwife said.. you have to be careful with what baby wash you use. And when you dry them off.. use a dry cotton bud to clean all the water out of the belly button. I took her advice and used it.. and it worked well. And once your on top of it. It goes away :)
The very best thing in the world for crusty belly buttons is paw paw ointment. It cuts through the gunge and makes it simple to remove with a cotton bud or tissue. Leave it on for about 5-10 minutes, tis brilliant:)
Good old paw paw cream.. my nana swears by it. Its good stuff.. and by the sounds of it. There aint anything it cant do :)
LOL Jessie it is the best stuff on the planet, and who would dare argue with anyone's nana:p They always know about the good stuff:yelclap:
Ha.. true. I know.. my nana use to cake me in it when i was little. Bites.. sores rushes! Good stuff it is :) Nanas always know best..
