Hi...this is my 1st thread so sorry if its a bit all over the shop...lol
Im 22, have recently married (End November 06), moved house/state & have given up my job (due to moving). i have been with my hubby bout close to 4yrs & love him to bitsValentine lol. after we had been together 12months i started getting clucky but knoew it wasnt the right time so i waited bit longer...i hinted & told hubby that i was clucky but he wanted to wait so i waited even longer...2yrs passed & we became engaged & once again i mentioned babies to hubby & he told me he's ready but wants to wait until we were married (to him this was a way to show we were actually serious bout the idea..if u know what i mean) so once again i waited. We decied that i would go off the pill in november (month of our wedding) so i took last 1 the day before our weddin (made sure i wouldnt have my period on our honeymoon). I have given up smoking, cut right back on my drinking & even stated going to the gym(curves) as i am little over weight. sice being off the pill my period has been all over the place & so i dont know when im ovulating or what...its been 8months since we have started trying & still doesnt seem to be happening...when we moved i gave up work because of the move but also thinking that it would be easy to get pregnant but boy wasnt we wrong........

:detective: let me think.....i think well, for me it took about 3months for my body to get back to "normal" cycle after coming off the pill before had 1dd, i suppose it would be different for every women, but maybe thats why its all over the place? maybe go see a doctor and see what they say? hope this helps. :fingerscrossed:

It is always difficult when the time 'seems right' to fall pregnant, and then it doesn't happen. I am no expert - but my DP and I had alot of trouble falling pregnant - and after 2.5 years of trying and also consulting on 'assistance' avenues - we fell naturally. There are so many reasons that could be impeding on you falling pregnant - but without being technical, it just can sometimes take time and it has to be at the right time. If you are genuinly concerned about 'problems' with falling pregnant - I suggest you consult a Dr. that specialises in infertility. It can be very simple - or it can be complex. If you are not sure as to when you ovulate - well this may be the best way to go. Also, the biggest lesson I learnt - was to make sure DP 'expelled' at least every 3 days (this doesn't mean having to have sex either) and he had a sperm test done that showed he had plenty of swimmers but they had 'slow' mobility. Didn't mean we couldn't fall pregnant, but it let us have the knowledge and know that we had to stick to the 3 day routine to ensure the sperm was replenished regularly.
I hope that things improve and also, that you fall pregnant soon. When we found out, we were in shock after years of disappointment - but once it happens, it is a blessing.
Take care.... :)

hang on there, if they've said a year its 4 more months, you can do it.. hopefully you will fall preg in the mean time and not need to go back! Do you chart? I use fertility friend.. so far its not working for us lol but its definitely useful!
If you want someone to chat to thats TTC.. feel free to pm me, we have been trying for getting close to 7 months now.
Best of luck :)

Thanx Melannh...i have been told that having sex every 2nd or 3rd day is better as the sperm builds up...but its so hard to do that (being a young newlywed & all) lol but i think it may be time to start listening to friends & family.

One thing I had was a 'maybe baby'... It told me when I was ovulating... very easy - lick it and it is like one of those old kelidescope things (sorry, wrong spelling...) Not the cheapest thing known, about $60 I think, but it did help me to know when i was ovlulating. You can get them at any good/large pharmacy..... I was pretty good with ovulating - but it appeared that i did it late (not in the 14 day theoretical time)... So, that could maybe help you 'know' when its happening... Then you have about a 48 hour window...... Also, (you probably know this) but DON'T Shower after you've done the rompy pompy....... :)

Hey larazie,
I would go back to ur doctor and ask for some bloodtests to see if ur ovulating, if ur not then waiting 4 more months isnt going to help u if ur AF is all over the place..
How long is ur circle? I'd buy some OPK's and start checking for signs of O from say day 12 to 16 and see..
I wouldnt recommend 'Maybe baby' unless u knwo for sure u are Ovulating,
alot of ladies in the TTC threads say it isnt any good.
Best of luck and hang in there i know how hard it is:hugs:

i started taking the pill when i was 17 & went off nearly 22 bout 4 yrs i was on it. so are u still on the pill??what did u do?? the doc keeps telling me to come back every couple months (maybe just to get my money lol).
if u want to u can pm me
Hi Lazarie
I feel your frustration!!!! I stopped taking the pill 4 months ago today and have not had a period since. I've had 2 DDs which I conceived naturally and easily, so these crazy cycles are all new to me too.
I have been having acupuncture and love it. It has really helped me, particularly with pms, which has been raging for about 6 weeks now  . Maybe think about giving it a go. I am also going to see a herbalist.
I went to Drs and had blood tests but everything came back perfect. I guess my body is still readjusting from being on pill.
I hope you find some answers, and your BFP is just around the corner :fingerscrossed: .
Take care

Hi,
Most drs will wait until the 12 mths is up unless there are anything else that indicates issues. You can talk to your dr in a couple of months about giving you a referral given that it will take a 5-8 weeks to get an appt. If you want to talk PM. I live in adelaide too. What side of the city are you?
Good luck.
