Does anybody know why you aren't ment to change formula brands once you have started your bub on a particular one?

It's not a strict rule I think, meant more that you shouldn't change every week based on a sale price. A formula change can upset bub's stomach and digestion and if serious could probably lead to dehydration (ie if it results in bad diarrhea or vomiting). I'm not a nurse, maybe I'm way off track.

Many parents find the first formula they try just isn't "right", causing constipation or other problems, and end up changing formulas. I had to switch brands for about a month while travelling in N.America. I had no problem when I switched and then back again, but dd was around 10 months old and so probably more tolerant than a newborn or younger baby.
