I found this web site (more for women who have lost a pregnancy) and it says that sperm only really lives for 2 hours and the egg for 12 hours! :eek:
It said that sperm may live longer (2 days) if CM is right conditions and sperm quality is good (something like that).
Well thats it for me, if i dont know when i O for sure then how am i going to catch that egg! :gloomy:

i dont know if thats right!!! dont stress too much, casue in all the books i have read and web sites i have been to the sperm ccan live up to 3 days in good conditions!!!! i will google it NOW!

I read the whole link and it basically says that sperm will live for about 2 days in good conditions, but otherwise will die after 2 hours. Interesting, but also says all poas bought on the net are no good, which can't be true!

Well i guess i will make sure i have lots of pre-seed in stock. That should help with the good conditions. Speaking of good conditions, looks like its going to be a fine day in Melbourne today....LOL...ARRRRR GOING CRAZY TODAY!!!

From what I've ready and studied that would only be true if the conditions in the uterus and not very good and that's not the norm. From what I've read (books by doctors and fertility specialists) unless there is some sort of problem the egg will last on average 12-24hrs. But sperm will last 3-5days. That's why they say to BD like crazy just before you ovulate. The sperm line the tubes and when the egg is expelled from the ovaries it gets fertilised then and there.
I wouldn't hold alot of merit on the 2 hours.

A little change of topic....but is it true that you can only use preseed not normal lub????Our lub bottle doesnt say anything about killing sperm and dont you think it would have to if that is what it does????

Yeah i read that they 'sit' on the edge/begining of the tube line.
It makes you wonder though, why so many dont fall preg (25%) I guess variables (other than bding) like sperm entering wrong tube and 'faulty' egg that month comes into it...
