We are wanting to TTC#2 but I am wondering how long will it take for the pill to wear off? I am taking Microglynum (spelling).

I know ppl that fell in the first month after......???
I fell pregnant first cycle :D One of the lucky ones. It can take as soon as first cycle to as long as.. well a while :) Doctors tend not to look into infertility or anything until it's been more than 6 months (I think, is that right?)

Both my pregnancies were concieved on the first cycle after stopping the pill. As soon as my period stopped we had sex a lot :p
About 6 weeks later I got a BFP both times YAY
But I've heard that it's easiest to fall pregnant in the first cycle, and then it gets harder if you don't fall the first time
Hey :)
it depends on the person - I didn't even have a full cycle... I went off the pill... and two weeks later we got pregnant ( I can even tell what day it was :D TMI ??? )

With my first I conceived while ON the pill.
I then went off it in August 2004 to conceive, and didn't start ovulating until April 2005! That was with Levelen ED. It doesn't seem very common to take that long to get back to normal though............

could be 12 :D
Might depend on the doc as well :)
My pill was Levlon ED too.. I think it's more dependant on the person than the pill :)

Hi! I fell pregnant 3 months after being off the pill - was quite a suprise as we had been told it could take 12months or more!! I had been taking it for about 8 years too but not sure if that has any bearing on anything?? Also I had been told when I was younger that I may need fertility treatment so it was a very welcome surprise indeed!!:D

Hi,
I fell the very next cycle after stopping the pill. I finished the pill got AF and conceived 2 weeks later with both my kids. I was on Norimin 28. Like the others said i think it depends on the person, how strong the pill is, how long you've been on it etc.
The pill doesn't build up in your body so it doesn't need to wear off as such.
That's why you can conceive if you even miss a day of the pill, if you take antibiotics or have a gastro bug.
I conceived the cycle after stopping 10 years of being on the pill and know plenty of women who've conceived while on it still!
Good luck!:)

My doctor told me it would probably take 3 months - and it did! Our first angel was conceived 3 months after I finished the pill.
It is common for women to fall first month after the pill though, because the body O's a few times straight away. The pill is designed to stop you from ovulating, so as soon as your body gets the chance to ovulate it goes berserk
Ally that's probably why one story I read said that being on the pill for a while can actually help you get pregnant when you get off it, it makes you more fertile.
The women's health nurse I saw before trying to get preg for some tips said it's best not to get preg in the first month after, to let your body get back in to it's natural rhythm. Oops:)

With ods i was taking Norimin 28 and fell pregnant the second cycle, with yds i was taking the same pill and fell pregnant the third cycle after stopping the pill. This time around i am on Trifeme, i just started my last packet before we will ttc#3 so fingers crossed it's not too long before i fall pregnant.

HI everyone, I have been off the pill for 6 months and my doctor said it would take would be a good idea to wait around three months to TTC. Since I have been off the pill I have onlt had 2 periods. I have had spotting for the last three days - aweek after I think I have ovulated.
Does anyone know how long implantation spotting can occur for? Not sure what is going on as i have a sore back, slight sore breats, and crazy crampa. maybe AF is coming. My temps have been up and down fort the past week. I'm hoping that the spotting is implantaion but not sure.
Does anyone have any clues?
thanks

We are wanting to TTC#2 but I am wondering how long will it take for the pill to wear off? I am taking Microglynum (spelling).
I have not yet had a baby and i was also on this Microglynum for i think about 5 or 6yrs, i have been off it now for about 5 or maybe even 6 months now but still no luck.
Im hoping it wont take too much longer. :(
My sil was on the pill for about 8 years and got preggers the first month off and has a beautiful baby boy. My mother fell while on the pill with three of her four children and we are all fine.
AFM- I waited 3 months after stopping the pill, was on it for 7 years. Fell preg the first month we tried, but we lost the baby, is believed to be because my body rejected it coz I had been on the pill so long (hoping this bubba will stick).
So as you can see, it really depends on the person coz it affects everyone differently

I think it just depepnds.
Some pills just change your cervical mucus to hostile but don't stop you ovulating. Other pills ( the ones with mutiple hormones usually termed triphasic) stop you from ovulating and cause your mucus to be hostile.
It depends on who you talk to. I've heard the following
1. you're more fertile off the pill
2. you're more likely to have a miscarriage if you fall pregnant straight after the pill
3. it's out of your system straight away
4. It's not out of your system straight away...can take up to 6 months as hormones are stored in body fat
I think it depepnds on you but I would start taking folate straight away as the pill is known to deplete your body of vitamins and iron
