Salangor obstetricians - who to choose?

Hi everyone :)

I'm seeking an obstetrician at Nambour and so far I'm tossing up between:

Dr Bogiatzis, who my Dr referred me to but knew little about. I've heard ordinary things about his manner though.

Dr Small, who I've heard great things about but who is damn expensive and everyone I know who's gone to her has had lots of scans (which I don't want).

I'm after someone without a high intervention rate who will be supportive of me having a doula, possible water birth etc.

Could anyone reccommend anyone up here? Or does anyone have experience with obs up the coast?

Congratulations on your pregnancy Noosamum!!

I'm not sure if you remember but you recommended Dr Bogiatzis to me WAY back when I was about 6 weeks pregnant. I too have been very happy with his care.

My baby was due on Monday so I'm a few days overdue. Hopefully it won't be too long now! I'm hoping for a water birth so we'll see how it goes.
