No idea where you are... but in Brisbane TOMORROW you can get an Ergo for $130 with a free pair of baby legs (leg warmers) at the Expo.

Someone might be able to pick one up for you, or you might have an Expo coming your way soon...

I dunno, but yeah... that's how i got mine today... at the Nurture Nappies stand...

I think I decided on one as well. Only problem is bubba isnt here yet, have a couple of months to go. Has anyone used one with a newborn? I would love to get to brissie today but I cant see it happening. I think I will have to wait till my little man is here.

I'm also going to get one - in Sydney, so keen to know of any deals here. My bub is 8kg and up until now we used a Baby Bjorn (original I think) which we were given - it has been wonderful but she's only just fitting in it now :smiliedance: and feeling heavy, I wear her on the front.

A New Blessing has them on sale for $120, that's the cheapest I've come across atm...... a day after I bought mine for $145:crying:

Thanks Gremily - I just looked at 'A New Blessing' on the net - what a beautiful website! Anyway I've hit a snag - bub loves being carried outwards and I've noticed the Ergo people are anti that. I've emailed them to check if the design allows bub to be carried outwards comfortably.

I don't think it does Muminthecity... I recall reading that the ergo is designed specifically for inward carrying because outward carrying allows bubs to get too stimulated and it's hard for them to 'switch off'.

New Blessing rocks. :)

I don't think the Ergo carries outwards... it has a little warning on it that says NOT to...

HOWEVER... when I was at the Nurture Nappies stand yesterday, the lady who runs NN (no idea what her name is...:o ) was showing me how to use it and said DD might prefer to face outwards? So maybe some people use it that way?

I think the leg holes are way too wide for that though, for my nearly 2 year old.

Back carry might be okay for her... because she can see more than if she's on your front. Also keep in mind that it's not as "closed in" as other baby carriers... the upper part of the torso is a bit more exposed, so she'll be more free to move around.

I was so glad I got to try it on (with DD in it) before I bought it - are there any stores nearby that will let you try them on... or anyone you know who has one?
