i am wanting an easy to use sling or carry pouch...that is comfortable and relatively easy to get bubs in and out of...
i have a tomy safarir at the moment, and another one...see other post...comfy carry it is called...i haven't really used either but i catch Public transport a lot so would like one so i am able to do it easier without lugging a pram around...
would love some suggestions as to what is good?
I've used my ring sling almost every day since dd2 was about 10mths or so and she's now 23mths. I got it off ebay, I think it's called Chickadee Sling. It cost about $35. I use the hip hold most of the time, but I utilise just about every position every now and then.
Easy to use, easy to store, and great for littlun's that love to be held.
I just got an ergo which is fantastic. Great support over both shoulders and it seriously feels like I'm carrying nothing at all! I mainly got the ergo for back carry as I find the sling a bit difficult for that, plus with an ergo it's great for long distances whereas with the sling you need to make sure you share the load on both shoulders (make sure you swap sides every now and then).
Both have their place though and I use the sling (and hopefully now the ergo!) far more than I do the pram. Makes it easy getting on/off the bus and going up stairs!!

I got an Ergo the other day - and SO wish I can gotten one sooner (instead of thinking about getting one for months on end!).
I think for longevity, it's your best bet. You can get an infant insert if you want to put a newborn in there, otherwise you can just pop babies in from about 4 months until... well, it says "40lbs"... and my 15kg DD fits in there quite nicely. I was also amazed at how WEIGHTLESS she seemed... her weight was on my hips rather that my shoulders (like she was in her ring-sling) or on my arms (like when I carry her).
It's kinda exy, but I think it's way worth it. Has a great resale value too!

I have a baby bjorn for DD2 and I dont know how I lived without it with DD1. I think it is GREAT!! Have a look on ebay too, that is where I got mine and paid half the price
