Hi mysweetpea, yes it is freezing, and I hate it too.

This thread has gone rather quiet hasn't it?

Hi, I hope it's not too late to join this thread. I am 35 and Dylan (my first born) is 4 mths. Gee - motherhood is very very challenging. It's hardwork and was a shock to my system. I had help from my inlaws and it was still tough. I take my hat off to mothers without any support.
It is getting better though - and he is more interactive now and I am enjoying every single minute of it.

It's so bloody cold today. We took Dylan out for a walk (probably not a good choice) and his cheeks are so red now - hope it's not wind burnt :(
The house is freezing as the temperature is set at 18'c as we almost cooked him once.

I've got a question - what do mothers do with their bubs during winter? I take him to the shopping centre but there are so many shopping centres to take him to. Any suggestion? Walks have been difficult due to the weather.

welcome to our thread MNB  it may be quiet around here lately but it's never too late to join!
it's hard to get out and about in this weather isn't it?! besides shopping centres, i suppose there's indoor play centres, the library, visiting friends. but it's getting motivated to go out in the cold in the first place that i find hard! ds has been watching a lot of dvd's and videos lately. i get the guilts but at least he's warm inside. and he's had a cold so i figure it's the best place to be. where abouts in melbourne are you?

M based in Doncaster - if anyone's heading to this way, the new Doncaster Westfield is good. Love the parent's room.

We took Dylan to this great playhouse yesterday - Amber's playhouse in Forresthill Chase and he loved it. Plenty of toys and it caters for all ages. Good venue for a kid's birthday.

Thank god the sun is out today. Dylan's coming down with a cold and I wish he knows how to blow his nose.

i know what you mean about the little ones not being able to blow their nose!! daniel has had a cold recently and i'm still forever wiping his nose! it just seems to be lingering for ages!

i don't think Doncaster is that far from here. maybe we can go for a coffee one day. i love checking out different shopping centres!!

the sun was nice yesterday wasn't it?! short lived though! back to grey today though!

anyway, must run

hi 4B2L

looks like it's just you and me hey?!

things are ok here. it's good in the sense that it is heaps bigger than our old place and daniel has more room to walk around. and a break from having to pay rent is always good! :smiliedance: it will be good to find a place of our own though. hopefully we'll find a place that is what we want and is affordable.

how are your boys? did they have a great time in the school holidays?

daniel is having his nap so i'm off to do one of my exercise videos. it's the last thing i feel like doing today but i'm going to make myself!

chat again soon

it's sad to see this thread so neglected. it was full of such lovely ladies there for a while. i suppose life just gets busy sometimes.

Hi everyone, saw your thread and thought I'd introduce myself. I'm 33 and a SAHM to two beautiful girls turning 2 and 4 in November. Signed up with BubHub about 3 years ago for a short stint and recently decided to check it out again. Something to break the boredom of the day to day and week to week routines and would welcome some adult chat.

Hi ladies.
I've just moved back to Yarraville (Melbourne) after living in the US for the last few years. I have an 11 month old baby girl, and I'm looking for a playgroup of some sort for her. Are there any mums here in the inner western suburbs that are keen on catching up? I'm rapidly approaching 37 (yikes!) so I'm keen to find some other mums my age too!
Thanks for any help you can offer :)
Melanie.

Hi, my name is Larissa. I am 35 and I have a beautiful daughter, Emily. I am new to bub hub and I am looking to meet other mum's that I can chat to. My husband is a chef and he works long hours & without alot of family & friend support it can be difficult and very lonely. Does anyone else have a husband that works long hours?

Hi Yarraville Mum. My name is Larissa and I live in the western suburbs, Altona North. I go to the Clare court playgroup in Yarraville on Thursday mornings, it is a really great group of mum's / dad's & kids. I have been going for around 2 years. More than happy to give you more information if you are interested. Larissa

Hi everyone,

My husband and I have just moved to Melbourne via Canberra and Paris  I haven't met any mum's yet with 2-year-olds and would love to meet up with anyone who happens to be home on a Tuesday :)

We live in West Melbourne near the Queen Vic markets.

Looking forward to hearing from someone :fingerscrossed:

Hi all!

There haven't been many posts for a while, but thought I would say hi anyway!

I'm 32, live down St Kilda way, and gave birth to my first child about 2 weeks ago... :bee: Little Lily, the light of my life! (except in between the hours of 1am - 3am...)

I don't have many friends with bubs down here, so looking forward to meeting some in the area, can't wait for my local Mother's Group to start!

Anhoo, just wanted to say hi....! :flowerz:
