Hello

Never really thought that much about this before having Nico but we are venturing out for the first time as a family to a restaurant this week and are after suggestions. Nick is 4 months old so doesn't sit on his own just yet. Has anyone got any suggestions for baby friendly restaurants in Brisbane? We aren't into the chain type of places - i.e Sizzler etc but are more into Asian when eating out

Any recommendations?

the Lounge Bistro does great greek food (at nundah village) and the owners Stuss and Linda have little ones of their own so the place/staff is very baby friendly. If you book a table outside and ask for one on the end, u should have plenty of room for pram and be out of others' way if DS chucks/screams/etc!
We take Alice there all the time. We love it!!!

Also have tried The Full Moon up at Sandgate (good pub food) as you can sit outside, watch the water and it's a family friendly place. Basically, anywhere with a nice big outside area is best, and somewhere conducive to taking the pram for a bit of a walk if the need arises!!!

Will let u know if I think of others! (We also took her to Brett's Wharf when she was 3 months old; good as it has the outside area and it was daytime and we watched the pelicans). Wouldn't be so good at night tho.

Hello....

If you're looking for great places to eat that have fab kids' facilities, there's a page in the activities directory of this website that details all the best spots http://www.bubhub.com.au/activitiesrestaurants.shtml#qld . If you come across others, email in the name and they will get it listed so that other parents know about it too.

Sometimes the best time to eat out is when they are little because at least they DO sit still!!!

Cheers. :)

Just wanted to say our local, The Gap Tavern, which is listed on that directory, is a pretty good place to go. We have taken Kaleb a couple of times, and there always seems to be mother's groups meeting up, so definitely baby friendly! There is also a playground there - but obviously Nico it a bit young for that yet! ;)

Hi there!

Great thread!

I must recommend the Everton Park Pub at Flockton Street. They have two great places to eat that are very kid & baby friendly. They are KJs which is the bistro inside and Cin Cin which is the Italian style Al Fresco Dining outside. Very nice and the the bistro has the best steaks (the top slection is the Eye Fillet at $22!) I have ever had. And I have dined at some great steak restaurants including Cha Cha Cha, and I found the old EP Pub to have the best ever.

Anyway, I am getting hungry now...

Hi

Thanks for the replies. I checked out the Gap Tavern and that was definately a good option - went for lunch and there was plenty of room for a pram and the food was good.

Also went to the Kedron Park Hotel - they have a baby change room and were happy to accommodate bub - might be a bit cool in winter as it is fairly open/outdoory but they have heaters so theres' another option in case anyone else was looking for a place to eat
