View Full Version : Pea Pods ok for kindy??
Would they work okay for kindy???
Well the boys have got an extra day of kindy...
so I know there have been some unfavourable reviews about pea pods.... but do you think they'd be okay for a kindy nappy? They change them really regularly and I need something as easy as a sposie... but because I have to buy double of everything there's no way I'm going to convince DH to let me buy 10 more BG's.... <-- replacing Mr RollEyes
Or should I wait till I get my new BBH AIO's and see what they're like...
Any PeaPodder's out there???

I've actually got about 10 peapods which i got as my very first MCN! At first i didn't think they were too bad but i did have a few leaks :(
After learning to extra boosting them i now however i love them. I hardly ever have a leak and use them for baby sitters and even to go out. They are as easy as a sposie and DP loves them.
So i reckon go for it. They are cheap and easy for me!! I reckon they'd be great for childcare. :D

I have some peapods but they don't work with the proper insert. I now use them with my hemparoos form green kids. Maybe with an extra boost they would be ok.
i use the tri-fold that came with them and a microfibre booster and they last a couple of hours. not my fave nappy but they are ok.
i won't be buying any more tho.

I like them. I use the insert they come with and then a folded up microfibre cloth... and they last just as long as any of my other pocket nappies.
They're not too great to look at, but so what?
I use them daily... they're not just my "back-up" nappy...

Where are they made??
I have one and it's great to use with the microfibre booster and the trifold it came with.
Where are they made??
not sure, it was mentioned in a previous thread... hang on...
It says they are manufactured in china
if you go into the 'search' and do one on "peapods" and one on "pea pods" in the cloth nappy discussion area, there are plenty of previous threads about them.

They are fine if they are boosted, but they do end up a bit saggy.
I'm having to replace Noah's ATM from 9 months of constant use, and since using them with the hemp insert and microfibre booster they havent had any leaks. Maybe get a couple of peapods and a couple of magicalls to see how they work for you before you go crazy buying too many?
Ours work fine too. I often use them with a folded flannelette flat in them tho coz I use the insert that came with the peapods for night time in a different type of pocket nappy.
They should be fine for daycare tho, they change nappies sooo many times there would be no chance for them to leak.

I would wait for your new Magicalls and see how they go.. they sound like a great daycare nappy
I've just edited all the speculation about the manufacturing of PeaPods... Please keep all posts on topic :) .
JMO - But I don't like my one. It may be a few dollars cheaper, but it is already falling to bits. I'd be going for a better quality one.
