Which MCN brand is best?

I'm considering converting to cloth nappies for environmental and cost reasons, but what do you all recommend as the best MCN brands? DS is 5 months old so we have quite a bit of nappy time ahead of us and I am always conscious of the impact of disposable nappies on the environment. I currently use Bambo Nature nappies which is a step in the right direction (they're partly degradable), but I would love to save some money by using cloth, even if it's part time and just use 'sposies' when out.

I have started to do a bit of research on the web, but there are a few brands and I would love to hear from anyone who uses them as to what brands you prefer. I just don't want to waste my money. So tell me why you like them and even why you don't like some of them if you've tried a few.

There are some reviews in the review section of Bub Hub. Some of the more popular brands would include Baby Beehinds, Jam tots Berry Plush, Swaddlebees, peapods, there are too many to list. Basically have a look at the wee wuns, nurture nappies, darlings downunder, baby soft landings, and you'll see a whole heap of beautiful nappies. Also nappychino is a great place full of info, also oz cloth nappies

There are so many MCN brands it's impossible to say which is best, but my favourite brands are:

Baby Beehinds (these are fitted which need a cover)

Green Kids (these are pockets which means you 'stuff' their absorbancy into a pocket opening, don't need a cover)

Nappylicious (these are AIO - all-in-ones)

Those 3 brands are all one size fit all too :D

I think everyone has a different favourite! you will have to try a few and see what suits you best.

My favourites are bubblebubs AIOs.

I also love bumgenius pockets.

my favourites are definately the cherubs kiss nappies ... or greenkids pockets ..

they are the two most used brands in my stash...

every child and every mum loves different nappies .. some mums love AIOs .. some love pockets .. you will probably have to trial a few before you find the type you love ..

My favourites are Haute pockets and bumGenius pockets. I don't like Berry Plush as they are bulkier and are not one size fits all, and not as absorbent as the first 2 I mentioned IMO. I also don't like bumGenius All in ones as I don't think they are absorbent at all! I have not tried Green Kids yet but they look good.

Me too! Both these brands are fantastic.

Berry plush are great for the cute factor, but definately the top two for absorbancy.

I have to say... while the Greenkids look good.... I don't think they have the absorbancy of the BumGenius

(except when I use my cotton babies insert IN the Greenkids)

and I can't really just trimness,... coz my boys are so flat bummed that I haven't had a problem with any of the nappies under their clothes.

I love my Baby Beehinds, hemp and bamboo. I used these exclusively for about 10 mths before I ventured out to try a different brand. I've used these since dd2 was 10mths. She's now almost 23mths and they still fit wonderfully with lots more growing room.

The other brand I have are Berry Plush, which I love for their looks and ease of use, but they don't have the greatest absorbency compared to Baby Beehinds. However, they are an AI2 (all in 2) which means they are a cover that a booster gets snapped into, so I tend to use them as a cover over BB's. They are a beautiful fit.

i love bumgenious aio (alot eaiser when others have ds like mum or df) and babybeehinds bamboo i brought some new hemp ones but havent tried them yet. ds is a heavy wetter so i find they work really well for us

I love itti bitti aios. they are exceedingly trim and work well and suit my baby well. they may not suit a very chubby baby as well.
