Haute or BG pockets - which would you buy?

Hi, My mum has given me some $ for ET's birthday to buy some nappies - she says he has enough toys :) Anyway I was thinking of getting some more BG pockets - I have 3 and love them OR trying some Haute pockets - which I have never seen or tried, but a lot of people on here seem to like them. Which would you get? Or would you suggest something else? Eg, Show-offy like a Starbunz? Keeping in mind that ET will be turning 2 next month.

BG- but I don't have Hautes so totally bias :D
However my vote goes to the BG's because of the snap down rise for future babies so a fantastic fit and mine look new and nice still after several months of heavy use :thumbsup:

Oh and I love the Cotton Babies microfiber insert that comes with the BG's, it's really good quality :yes: Even though I don't use it on it's own (I have hemp behind it) it is very thirsty :thumbsup:

I have both (my entire stash consists of Hautes and bumgenius!!). I really like both, and I can list the differences for you if you like:

bumGenius: slightly trimmer around waist, velcro not as strong/easier to undo, suedecloth lining which some ppl have problems with becoming water resistant with detergent buildup (but I haven't had this problem), stretchy tabs which can wick moisture through onto clothes when nappy is full.
Hautes: 2 inserts come with nappy, and when using both, it is more absorbant than the bumGenius but also more bulky, with only one insert in it is about the same, better/stronger velcro, or comes in snaps if you prefer this, microfleece lining which does pill a bit but still works well.

They are both great. For a toddler I can see how the velcro on the bg may be a problem as it's easy to undo but I haven't had this problem yet as my baby is only 8 months. They are both one size fits all with snaps to adjust the rise. They are very similar actually!

I have both Hautes and BGs and they are both good nappies.

The BG is a lot trimmer. The Haute insert is much bulkier but it also does last longer.

They both have extendable snaps for rise, though the BGs fold down a bit neater than the Haute.

hmmm I like them both.....I used to prefer the BG over the Haute but not I think I like them fairly equally, depending on what Caleb is wearing. If I need something trimmer then I pick the BG, if I need something that lasts a bit longer and trimness doesnt matter I choose the Haute.

I also have both Haute snaps and Haute velcro. I used to hate the snaps but now I prefer them....the velcro is starting to go tatty (on both BG and velcro Haute).

Ok, how embarasssing, I have been so out of it that I didn't realise how similar both nappies are. Ignore all future reviews from me! :)

Hhmmm... good point RE: snaps. Maybe that would be better on a toddler?? Thanks for the replies so far.... Keep em coming... :)

I got a Kanga Pocket the other day and it is pretty trim and easy to stuff with the big zipper opening, I think I will get a couple more. I would say that it is trimmer than a BG AIO. It also has the multi sized snap thing.

I've got both! I like both! If you've already got BG's I'd say to get some Haute... just so you've got them :yes:

I generally tend to choose a BG over a Haute for trimness... but I like them both :D
