all i can say is .......go for it
i love mine and dont regret buying it at all.
maxirderII are in my opinion the safest booster seat you could own.
they are well worth the $360 to me.
here is why
*they are able to be used from 8-26 kilos
*they anchor into the car
*they have an in built 5 point harness that can be used til 18 kilos
after 18 kilos, they can(and should) be used with a H harness and a special 'anti submarine' clip that goes between the childs legs to prevent them sliding through the seat in an accident
*they are the tallest booster on the market and will last to roughly an average 8 year old
*they have the best side impact protection in a booster
*they have arm rests and cup holders(not essential but handy)
if you have kids under 18 kilos, I still prefer a baby seat, just because its safer. I wont be putting my DD back into her maxi til she is too tall for her babyseat, as she weighs only 13 kilos.
I just bought one last week- well I technically bought 2, 1 was on behalf of my s-i-l- from David Jones with 20% off so they came down to $288 each- very happy with that!
Anyway- we have both been looking around and were impressed with these.
Wasn't right for us... We have a 4 wheel drive, and the back seats are to upright to have the maxi rider fit properly.
Try it in your car before you get one... no good spending that amount if you cant use it

Yep agree, go to a baby shop and ask to test one in your car as they dont suit all cars and are very big, so if you are planning on having 3 kids in the back of your car it is an extremely tight squeeze. But otherwise they are good.
the maxi can be used upright or reclined to fit in your car...
but hey Im not a fan of compromising. I will just get a bigger car if I cant fit 2 maxis and a baby seat. im stubborn

I'm with you....we have a seven seater, in preparation for having 3 kids in car seats. We're only on baby no.2 so far but figured we had to upgrade anyway, so may as well upgrade for three!

True, but our back seats are soooo upright it wont balance properly no mater how you anchor it in.
We have an 8 seater ATM, and once this next bub is born will have a captual, a car seat and a booster... plus 4 older and bigger children.
I agree it is the safest model out there, but it wont fit in every car.
hmm weird i popped a towel under ours and they fit fine
We love our Maxirider and DS loves it too, he even rests his arms on the armrests! Soo very cute.
We decided to spend the extra money because it looked the safest after all my research and would last him the longest.

Totally agree! We got one for DD#1 shortly before DD#2 arrived. We will be getting one for DD#2 when she gets big enough and outgrows the current seat she is in.
I did lots of research and the Maxi Rider II came out the best from what I could see. It is worth every cent.
