Hi and welcome to the bubhub!

There's lots of fun and games to be had, as well as plenty of advice and shoulders to cry on.
I am returning to uni this year. I'm a little worried as to weather I will cope, so I would love to chat to you about your experiences. My DD is 6 months old, and is already a little terror! You gotta love it!

Hi Bec,

What are you studying? i found it challanging but not too hard. I tried to arrange my timetable so that i did most of my study at uni and not at home with screaming kids:) . i also have a wonderful DH who helped me tremendosly(sorry can't spell), he would take them out to the park etc while i was studying which was a gr8 help. Thats about all i can think of at the moment but will see what else comes to mind later. Talk soon.:)

Hi tanya,

Welcome :) My name is Lisa, 29 year old married mum of 3 kiddies, Samantha 11, Jack 3 and Ashton 10 days old. I live in Canberra with my darling hubby Stephen.
My mum actually lives in Perth (Kingsley) so do my bro and sis, so i don't get to see them much because it's so expensive to get there. That really annoys me, it's cheaper to fly OUT of this country than to go to the OTHER SIDE of it ???

Anyhoo, best of luck with studying, i am quite nervous as i have just enrolled for a Bachelor of Communications degree, i am desperate to get into Journalism. My family think i'm nuts fo rdoing it now considering i have a newborn and all, but the way i see it, it gives me something different to focus on for the next three years apart from the kids and shows potential employers i have been busy during that time at home. I have been an IT geek in the public service for years and quite frankly, BORED of it. I love to write so fingers crossed it works out. Happy to chat anytime! Enjoy bubhub ;)

Hi,

Sorry haven't been on for couple days been a bit sick but better now. Thanks for the replys welcomings.

Rhoxie- I know i think we must be crazy lol!!! I might be defering for a bit though still deciding. What are you studying?

Parisakamali- Thanks for the welcoming.

Lisa- Hi i know what you mean about the cost of flights my DH has family in vic and it is too expensive to go and see them. I used to live in Canberra too but i left there 12 years ago (my dad was in the army). We lived in Kalleen And we also lived in Gordon too. I think congrats and good on you for going back to uni, if you know what you want to do then just do it i say.

Anyways thanks again girls talk soon :p

Tania - I'm studying teaching (K-3) -- My first career turned out to be very hard to manage with a family -- so I bit the bullet and went back to uni last year to become an early childhood teacher. The scary thing is I'm so much more enthusiastic about being a teacher than I ever was about my first job ;) LOL

Last year was very full on trying to combine both Uni, kids and p/t time work - I ended up giving up the work ... so it got a little easier. Some weeks just fly by though !!
