So Layla has refused to have Breakfast and Lunch today. My mom is at her wits end as she looks after her during the day while I work. She does thesame to me on the weekends. I don't know what to do anymore, I try to reassure mom its OK, she will eat when she is hungry but we both can't help feeling fustraded by it all. Everyday is a battle with her. Won't eat this or that, will gag, throw up, cry, etc. Some days its her bottle she won't have, now its food. To tell you that she hasn't had fruit since December, she refuses it no matter hwo we give it to her. Its been like this for so long now, I am so sick of it. Sorry that might sound cruel but I am tired. She is petite as it is. I don't know how she has managed to grow; she is so fussy with food! Arghhh

:smiliedance: I am not alone!!!!!!

My DD (now 20months) is the same...she eats in nibbles at the moment, and it is very frustrating.

I can not offer any advice except :fingerscrossed: Hope it passes.....and apparently THEY WILL NOT STARVE....:o Apparently......

:hugs: Good luck

Its absolutely normal for toddlers to go through an appetite slump. Have a look at this (http://www.aboutkidshealth.ca/HealthAZ/Appetite-Slump-in-Toddlers.aspx?articleID=8271&categoryID=) article for some ideas :)

Yes. Apparently they won't starve! Gosh, makes me wonder. I have been reading 'Toddler Taming' as I am now desesperate to find answers. I really hope she snaps out of it and soon.
