Hi everyone:wave:
I need lunch ideas for my one year old ds. I give him vegemite or cheese sandwich sometimes, spaghetti some other days. Im thinking of giving him yoghurt and fruit, but i dont know will that fill him up? I dont want to feed him the same thing most of the time coz he might get bored.I just want something quick and easy. Also, how long can you refrigerate individual quiche for? Thanks everyone

sausage rolls, chicken nuggets, mini muffin Pizzas, quiche, toasted sandwhiches, Pasta, Meat balls... ummm ill see if can think of anymore.
Hi there.
I sometimes give my DS yoghurt and fruit for lunch and it seems to fill him up.
Other things he has for lunch:
* Baked beans and toast
* Toasted sandwich with cheese
* Macaroni cheese
* Cruskits with spreads
* Rice cakes with spreads
Thats all I can remember at the moment. Also after I give DS some lunch I always give him some yoghurt or something else dairy. He also has a cheese stick if I think he needs a bit more food.
I hope that has helped in some way. It is hard to try and think of different things to give them for lunch.
Good luck :fingerscrossed:

DS likes a platter. Dried Apricot, semi dried dates, cheese, one slice of vegemite on bread folded into a snadwhich, fresh apple. Followed by Natural yohurt mixed with pureed banana

What about dips? You can use pieces of fruit with yoghurt as a dip, or make your own vege-type dip (carrot dip, beetroot dip, avocado dip, etc etc) or just buy one... and use cut up veges or grissini or turkish bread or whatever to go with the dips.
I also make some rissoles for DD - salmon ones, or mince ones, or tuna ones or mushroom ones, or felafels...etc etc.
What about different cheeses? DD loves cheese.
What about wrapping some rockmelon in ham? You can even add some bocconcini between the melon and the ham if you like.
Rice paper rolls are great, as is sushi.
Sometimes I make up some gnocchi. Fresh gnocchi cooks in a matter of minutes... you can serve it with just grated parmesan if you want, or some sort of sauce.
There's HEAPS of things you can offer...:D

Thanks everyone for your help..
The dips and the platter sounds good. I tried the toasted sandwich today, he liked it..So i guess we're gonna try different food from now on..But keep your suggestion coming..
