Hi Everyone, I'm guessing there are likely to be more Mum's than Dad's on here - I'm a first time Dad and a very proud one at that.
My partner and I had our first child, Shelby Victor Gordon, on dec 20th via C-section after he decided he was quite content to stay 8 cm's dilated for a long period of time and was causing complications.
Shelby weighed 6.4 lb's and measured 50 cm in length and 32 cm head circumference. He was also nine days early.
Since coming home he has been very well behaved and continues to surprise us every day. At 4 weeks he could already roll over onto his stomach and back and he is able to move from my belly to almost on my shoulder if I am laying down. He is already able to comfortably sleep 7-8 hours at night between feeds as well.
Most people say he is the spitting image of me at the same age, but I have seen baby pics of my dad and see a bigger resemblance. Either way, he is a gorgeous little boy.
Probably the only problems we have had are with his diet, first we started him on S26 and it constipated him, so we tried NAN and that eventually did the same. He was then found to have a lactose intolerance and is now on Lactose free formula which is helping heaps although he still has dramas with wind every so often. We found a bit of brown sugar in water helps that.
Anyway, I'll keep updated and post pics real soon.
Cheers
Ash
