Pressie for a one year old girl

Hi guys.

I need help please... I need to get a pressie for a one year old girl. I havent got a clue what to get. Its for a "Birthday Fairy" thing - like Secret Santa but for birthdays - so nothing flash but I want something nice. I dont know where to start looking.

Anyone have any suggestions???

How much do you know about the girl? is she up and about, at least crusing? Where is she up to in her development?

I bought Cobes a plastic ride-on trike (no pedals, low to ground).. he's cruising and stepping and able to climb onto and off things so I thought it would be a good gift, may be different for the girl.

How much cash are you to spend?

I always like to give gift that they can use later no as they get so many things on the day. I have got these for some of my friends little girls and they had really liked them.

Hmmm, I'm trying to think about what DD got for her 1st birthday that she liked. But it probably depends on developement though.

Her favourite present was probably her doll. She used to kiss it but it's only recently she's started taking it everywhere with her (now 17-months).

She also got a little piano thing that she doesn't mind.

Also, someone got her a Crazy Frog (I HATE that thing) that dances and sings that annoying song and she LOVES it. Not suggesting that, because it's a parents worst nightmare, but maybe something else that sings/dances...?

Everything else was either too expensive, or she never even glanced at! To be quite honest she was much more interested in trying to walk around furniture at that age.

She isnt walking yet but she is crawling. She is a small petite gorgeous little thing.
I'm not sure how much I should spend. My sons present was: a small thomas the tank engine toy, some bubbles and a t-shirt. So I'd like to get something roughly equivalent IYKWIM
