Hi,
I'm new to using cloth nappies - even though this is my second! I actually never knew about MCN until a friend told me about them and last week I bought DD2 her first Wriggleybumz!!!:smiliedance: Well I love it, but I'm still so naive about it all and some of the websites still leave me a little confused!
Anyway I was just on Wahmania and looking at buying a cloth nappy for DD1 - she is almost toilet trained during the day, but I want to get her one for night time. Can anyone suggest any good ones? She weighs around 13kgs. I want it to be a cute coloured one too -so it's more like cool undies for her! If that makes sense. I also want to buy some nighttime ones for DD2 as well - as obviously 1 doesn't last very long! And it's more for short change time rather than all night.
Any advice appreciated!!
If you looked at something like a Baby Beehinds Bamboo then you could use it for both of your girls as they're OSFM (one size fits most). Bamboo is extremely absorbent. These need a cover - BB have PUL covers and wool wraps which are good. Or a wool soaker/shorties/longies are fantastic.
Darlings Downunder have got a sale on atm on alot of nappies :)

There are "proper" night nappies you can get too. I don't have any though so I'm no help with them!
My 14kg DD wets far too much for BBB, even when they're boosted to a ridiculous level. I'm about to make her some really thick night nappies that I hope will do the trick. :fingerscrossed:

Yep, check out Baby Beehinds.
What about Green Kids? They are a different kind of nappy, a pocket nappy (and they are one-size). You stuff them with an absorbant insert and can make them into a night nappy or a trimmer day nappy, your choice. The Green Kids website is really easy to understand, I know what you mean about it all being overwhelming at the start! But this website makes it all look so easy (like it is!) and they have a great trial pack.

Thanks ladies! Wow, I think I've just discovered a whole new world! pookiesossige - thanks for the green kids website idea - it is really easy to understand! Will just have to wait till they re open on July 10 now...
I like my BabyBeeHinds...
but I LOVE my bumgenius pockets  Worm's Mum... definately look at these!! They're one size fits all so can use on DD1 and DD2 and they come with a super absorbant insert. it's brilliant!
Darlings Downunder has a good package on those too
My boys are super heavy wetters too.
Tea Lady... try this... (if you're not against sposies at all) This is the ONLY thing I've found works for the boys.
We buy a cheap pack of sposies (home brand... $20 for 64 of them... that's 2 months worth for one baby at night only) I put a sposie on first (with a fleece liner) then a Baby BeeHinds Bamboo with the large snapin, then a cover.
No leaks for a week!! (that's how long I've been doing it that way) and it's still quite trim, so they can walk easily

Baby Beehinds Bamboo are the only things that DD has worn that last the enitre night without any wetness in the morning. She's about 15kg.
I use the BBB (Baby Beehinds Bamboo) with a bamboo fold-up booster outside the nappy between it and the cover (the Baby Beehinds one works best out of the 2 types I have), and then a fleece cover (because I'm too lazy to lanolise wool).
I use Tots Bots fleece covers and a Stacinator Deluxe Fleece.
I THINK you can get them all from Darlings Dowunder...
Anyway, they work fabulously, and like Grem suggested, they'll be able to fit both your kidlets, so when number 1 has no more need for them, you can still use them for number 2 straight away...
