View Full Version : Everyone received their free shower timer??

Just wondering if everyone has received theirs and have you checked to see if it's actually 4 mins?

Ours is totally wrong, it's EIGHT minutes long, and that's when it actually works! Half the time it stops half way and then doesn't work even when you try and start it again....

Are we the only ones with a dud timer or did the QLD Government yet again waste more of our taxes on this scheme?

I never got one :no:

My MIL did though and once she put it in the shower and the water hit it, it stopped working all together.

Waste of money I think :thumbsdown:

we've got one, its in the kitchen lol

I havn't timed it to see if it is 4mins, I might do that this arvo :laughing:

My timer works fine...but the suction bit doesn't and it keeps fall off :banghead:

Ours has never worked so it went in the bin...

The one my mum got is a dud too... My 10 year old brother went in for a shower, after banging on the door he finally come out and he then preceeded to warned miss 8 that the reason he had such a long shower was because the timer stopped.... so he had to bang it to get it to work again so he knew when his 4 minutes were up!!... so if it stopped to do that!!... :laughing: :laughing:

Another big waste of money I think!!:yes:

I got mine a couple of weeks ago.. I havnt tested how long it goes for but I will now..

well I just timed mine

and it went for just under 4mins :yes:

we got ours over the weekend and we got ripped off!!! we timed ours twice and both it was less than 4 mins!

OUrs has stopped working all together now... Waste of money, I got another one at Spotlight the other day for $1.50 LOL! It't spot on 4 mins and works perfectly.

Our first one fell off the wall and broke :laughing: - so we got a couple more (DH works for Govt ...... so they are happy to hand them out). I'm sure the one in the ensuite doesn't go for 4 minutes .... mind you I'll check that out tonight.

Did have a laugh we were at Spotlight and saw them for sale.

we have two .. one we got with the newspaper .. one we got in the mail .. and the first one we got .. has TWO MM more sand in it .. :laughing: I haven't timed them .. I should ..

we got 1 in the newspaper and 1 in the mail the other week and we have had one for a few months that i got from bunnings for $2. they are all about the 4 minute mark give or take a few seconds, they all stick rather well to the wall and they all seem to be fine.

maybe they had a dud batch of them, all mine work great. now i just need one that i can attach to the actual water supply so it turns it off after 4 minutes as the kids sometimes ignore the timer.:banghead:
