Silly question coming......

If I'm going to make some choccies using a mould, what's the best way to make it and what do you use for the chocolate ?
ie.. choc buttons, plain choc, dark choc, white choc, cream, milk

I get choc melts-buttons- and melt them in a metal bowl inside a saucepan of boiling water- just keep stirring.
We did a few hundred milk and white sheep as our wedding reception thank yous.

Do I have to put anything in the moulds to make it easy to get the chocs out ?
And what is the best way to get the choc into the moulds without making a huge mess ?
And approx how many chocs do you get from 1 packet of choc melts ? My moulds are only smallish.

Sorry for the silly questions but I've never done it before :o

use a teaspoon to sort of drip the chocolate into the moulds.....

the melted chocolate tends to go a long way ie 1 bag of melts will make a fair few chocolates...

no don't need to 'grease' the moulds just melted chocolate straight in....

You can buy bulk chocolate from choc mould stores.

There's a good one online...

I've started to do my choccies today and so far I have more choc than moulds.
Can I keep the already melted choc aside until the moulds are set and then re-warm the leftover choc to refill the moulds ?
