Whilst at the MHN for DD's check up.. the nurse checked her hips.. and was very concerned about the clicking noises coming from DD's hips. After scaring the cr@p out of me by saying that this will impact DD's development and may NOT crawl, walk, etc.. and said she will need x-rays and an ultrasound !!!! She sent me to the local GP.. the GP said that DD is fine.. but when ichange her nappy i do hear the clicking noises.
DD rolls everywhere, kicks her legs, stands up and is trying to master the art or crawling at the moment.

Should i be concerned? Should i take her to pediatrician ?
Has anyone else experienced this?

Any advise would be great. Thanks

please please please get a referral to a pead or see another GP. my son had hip problems discovered at 7 months and if there are problems you need to know. the upside is that my sons hips were bad. now he is two has great hips and all is well after time in a brace etc.

get a second opinion for your child's sake!

I would ask your local Dr for a letter to go and see a Paediatric orthopaedics Specialist there the only ones that i would let touch my DD when i was told she had clicky hips, we go and see him in sydney.
Just go back to your local DR and tell him what you want it is your baby and they have to give you a letter if you ask..
