I'm trying to print up my own invites. I'm printing on metalic card and have a HP Photosmart all-in-one. The problem is I can;t get the ink to dry so it just smudges everywhere. I have tried saying it is all different types of paper and nothing seems to work!!!
Is there maybe a different type of ink I can buy for my printer that will work better? Could it be because the ink is half empty?
Help! I wanted them done this weekend! Its stressing me out.

Your printer sounds like it is an inkjet which wont work at all on metallic paper. Trust me, I was in your shoes a few months ago. You need to find someone with a laserjet printer.

I tried taking it to officeworks etc but they will only print on paper you buy from them as it voids the warranties on their machines if they use anything else.

If you are near any stationary shops, you could see if they will do it for you but they might be the same as officeworks

Good luck!!

Thanks for your idea.
I borrowed my mums laser printer today and seems to have done the trick.
Now i have found out my envelopes are too big!! It took me forever to find the right red and now i don't know what to do, they are nearly 1cm too big!

Umm...May not be the look you are after but can you find someone that can calligrapher the envelopes by hand or maybe learn quickly how to do it yourself. Stationers have how to kits. Or maybe get some nice gold or silver labels to print the addresses on then stick them onto the envelopes (this might be a bit tacky though!!)
Good luck!:)

Or you can get clear labels to print on....

can you not adjust the printer to fit the envelopes at all?
