Not really the most ideal way to dry precious MCN, is it!
Gas wall furnace (http://i107.photobucket.com/albums/m312/pookiesossige/PICT4550.jpg)
But when it's 5.45, and a wet night nappy needs to be dry by 6.30 at the latest, what's a girl to do?? Hmmm?
I know... it's just a matter of time and I'll find the nappy fused to the metal with melted snaps... :crying:
The heater is so hot that it leaves burns when touched even so very quickly :o But I'm sooo careful!!

Yep! Just as long as I let the snaps cool down though... or it would be like a hot seat-belt on a summers's day, methinks... ouchie!
One of my BB bamboo fold-ups does have faint brown horizontal lines where the grill did get a tad too toasty though... Maybe I should take that as a warning to stop trying to cook nappies on my heater?? :p
 EMMA! LOL That doesn't look very safe!
Perhaps you could invest in a dryer... :p

I think it's about time you got a dryer Em
Or more nappies
HMMMM my mum has one and I nearly burnt myself on it when I was a teenager! so not a good idea.. What I would do is grab a chair and put them over it and put in front of heater?? its much more safer!!

It's ok, I never leave the heater on and nappies hanging off it when I'm heading out for longer then 3 hours, so it can't be that dangerous. Oh and I turn the heat down from 10 to 9 first.
:p ;)
Yes.... a dryer would be lovely *counts pennies*
I chuck the nappies on the oil column heater to dry here. prob doesn't get quite as hot as yours but works well. a safer option with no dryer?
Be careful
That looks waaaaaaaaaaaaayy too dangerous...i will not sacrifice safety or the house over drying nappies...i'll find alternative methods...like dryer or hanging on a clotheshorse with fan on...
I'd be very careful with nappies that have snaps, you might melt them, or those with PUL also. Can you get a clothesline or something to attach to the front of the heater instead - I'd be worried about it causing a fire to be honest.
I think i'd get a clotheshorse to put them in front of the heater rather than on the heater. Or try and get a dryer.

It's ok gals :D
1. I use a clotheshorse a couple of meters from the heater at night
2. I never, ever dry pul covers or pul pockets this way. Or wool.
3. I make sure that snaps are not in direct contact with the heater
4. I do this only when my one and only GNST is still damp from being washed that morning.
5. That time of the evening is when I am stuck in the kitchen, pretty busy- I'm not likely to go off and leave them cooking :D
But yeah... methinks a dryer is MUCH more appropriate!
I'm just a scroodge when it comes to using all that power. I have to run the heater, so may as well kill two birds with one stone :D

or you could buy more nappies so you can leave them for 2 days drying like me :D

Ooo yes please :D I like that idea, growing the stash would solve all problems!
Ronan just needs to tt! Then all will be fine
However I do have another bamboo GNST on the way! :smiliedance:
This is a much better way to dry nappies (http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s15/becstar1972/DSCF0270.jpg)....lol he he he i know its been raining. If the great blue sky fails me I get the clothes horse out and put it in front of the heater.....and keep turning them over every 5-10 mins....
