Hoping someone can answer me this...

I actually managed to catch a glimps of DH payslip the other day, and it was considerably higher than my estimate that I gave centrelink... a big bonus that was paid last june was actually put on his July payslip..
I jumped online and changed our estimate for this year just to see how much we would owe (I know there is only a few days left in this financial year) because last time I upped our estimate it said "you have been overpaid xyz to date, do you wish to adjust payments blah blah"

Anyhoo, last night when I changed it, it said there would be no change, only to the childcare percentage.

Has this happened to anyone else?:geek:

Yep, I changed my last week, as my pay was above my estimate so I added another $2000 to it and it said there would be no change....

But I didnt get next years in on time, and now miss payments???? And was told I am only entitled to $31.46... So it did change, but you should be ok if you have saved or printed the page as reccommended!

:hugs: Miss payments? They automatically up ours each year with cpi ****!!

That's no good suby!

The only thing I thought of was that with the payment offest thingo they have taken that into account already based on the estimate so therefore I won't owe them money... but I won't be getting any of that money either.

Dh wages are so hard to predict because he is a subcontractor so it depends on the amount and type of work he gets to how much he gets paid. I always end up underestimating even looks that way this year when i though it over estimated by a fair bit. For next finincial year i am just going to tell them to payme the lump sum at the end of the year. We dont get that much anyway something like 70 a fortnight. I would prefer to struggle a little with out that then have to pay it back at the end of the year.

I have already checked and changed the estimate I always overestimate so I know we get extra at end of financial year...

Yeah, ours was automatically upped by $2000 EACH for next year, which left us entitled to NO payment apparently....

But as long as you dont owe them money, thats the main thing I guess.....you cant miss money you dont have in the first place I suppose....If you get what I mean (not being nasty!)

Just make sure you keep records of your dealing with them over the net, print or copy the reciept!!!! I dont trust them, I have been stuffed around too many times.....

I have been caught the last few years with underestimating and this year thought I had done a good job of keeping on top of it, but I checked the other day and we were still substantially out!

We are now getting nothing - not even our CCB, in an attempt to catch up before the end of the tax year!

I wish I could do that, but in all honesty I do rely on that money each fortnight. I am a scab....
You are right suby... it won't worry me if we don't get the offset... I don't rely on that money, it would just be a bonus if we did get it.
