I am currently bathing my DS (almost 1) in the laundry tub, as our home only has deep corner spa baths. Just wondering if anyone has been able to pick up a large baby bath that could go into the spa bath or have any other ideas as to what I could use once he is too big for the laundry tub?

Hi

This may be a dumb question, but why can't you bathe him in the spa bath?

If its because its difficult to reach in and clean him, why not jump in with him?

I'd loooove to have a big spa bath to share with my 11 mth bub, lots of fun!

Unfortunately the spa takes a lot of water to fill it and in the interest of water conservation I think a larger bath would be easier. Also I would prefer not to be hopping in the bath every evening - almost twice the effort getting both of us dressed and undressed. I know the shower will also be an option down the track.

I agree with Nicole79, I'd love to have a spa to share with my kids...DS is almost 3 and DD is 2mths, it would be heaps of fun :D

I got a fairly big baby bath from the warehouse when DS was born, he can still sit in it now and have a little room around him, he hopped in it with his baby sister last week :p It also has a plug in the bottom to make it easy to drain.

Can you only fill the spa part of the way so it is not so deep for your bub? Or maybe get a cheap inflatable kids pool and put that in the spa for him to have his bath in. You can get tiny baby size pools from cheap shops for less then $5.

The other option is to take bub into the shower with you. DS loved that, I took him in the shower 2 or 3 times a week from about 3mths old, and he started showering with me most days when he was about 6mths old, and still does now :)

Hi again :)

With the shower option - Andrew loves the shower too. He sits on the floor and we have a moveable sprayer thingy that makes it easier to soap him up and spray it off.

(Oh, and I wasn't suggesting you totally fill the spa either! A few inches would do it!)

Hope you find a solution :)

Have you tried Big W? I bought a baby bath for my DD when she got too big for the smaller baby bath. She used this till she was about 2 and now she just has showers with me.

Here's an idea. We always have bath together in the evening, the three of us to save the water, and Thomas loves it!

Shower with bub/s also another fab idea, except Thomas would cry when the shower stop lol

Hi
I used my baby bath up until a few weeks ago due to not even having a bath through renovations as well as not wanting to waste water when it was put in & we only have a half bath :D
My mum found the bath we got at Kmart from memory but ive seen them at BigW also. We were glad we got it as it was big enough to hold my bubs who was just off 10lb born & as i said he was still using it up until 2 or so wks ago & he is still big almost going into size 2 !!! He just sat up in it but loved it all the same it now gets used as a "pool" on hot days & its great as it has the plug & hose to empty it which means the garden gets a drink !
