Sling help?

I bought a chickadee sling when I was pregnant (the non ring type) and I used it in the first few weeks for DS. Then I moved to the baby bjorn type of carrier. This is now killing my back as he is about 8 kilos. I want to use the chickadee sling for the hip position. I have followed the instructions but he seems uncomfortable and fidgety. I know he likes to be carried rather than the pram or stroller but my back can't take it!
Does anyone have a chickadee baby sling that they use? Any tips?

have a look at the Ergo

baby bjorns are terrible on your back.

since i got my Ergo i havent used my pram at all.

it also has a hip position too :)

DS is nearly 8 kilos and i can carry him on the front still for hours and it never hurts my back

where as the baby bjorn hurt with in 10 mins.
