Cinnamon Chocolate Sauce
I invented this last night, we had it on chocolate cake, but you can make a hot chocolate out of it, put it on icecream or with fruit...
Don't be intimidated by the cinnamon, it adds a rich warmth to the chocolate, and really enhances it.
ingredients:
* 2 Tbs coco powder
* 2 Tbs butter (soft)
* 2-3 Tbs Milk
* 2 Tbs Sugar
* 1/2 tsp cinnamon
directions:
1. add all ingredients into a small saucepan and combine with a balloon whisk
2. place over a low heat on the stove & whisk until mixture darkens (takes about a min)
3. serve warm
note:
My measurements are approx. so feel free to adjust it to suit your tastes.
This makes quite a dark sauce, I love dark chocolate. If you want it milkier add a bit less butter and a bit more milk, if you want it more bitter use less sugar or use water instead of milk.
For a richer sauce substitute the milk for cream
hope everyone enjoys it.
