Brisbane Mums and Bubs

Hi Brisbane Mums. I thought I would start a thread to try and organise our meetups. I know that there are a few of us who have been meeting regularly and this way we can all keep up with it. Also there have been a few new Brisbane mums come into the threads and this way they too can feel welcome!

I know that some of us don't get on very often at all anymore and I thought this would be easier than scrolling through weeks of posts in our monthly threads.

Just remember that we need to pm exact details - maybe we should start a list of mums and bubs so we know who to pm.

So I think there was some talk of the Expo?

Add your name to the list and any ideas about meeting.

We are all interested in joining in in a play date as long as it is Thursday Friday or every 2nd weekend as we all go to work the rest. Well Matt works and Rachel and Ella go for company.

I would love to meet up with some Brissie mums. I have been to a few groups that were organised but only one or two people ever showed up.

I work full-time so it makes it harder for me too come, but I will keep checking this thread and see what you guys organise.

Maybe we could organise a picnic day at new farm or southbank, that way it can be on a Saturday too... just an idea :yes:

There was some talk about meeting on the Sunday of the Expo as a few people couldn't make Friday. How does this suit everyone. Maybe we could do a Fri for some and a weekend day for others.

are we meeting on the sunday??? and are we meeting in the expo? theres a cafe there and also a play area? im not sure how ill go finding another location if we dont meet there. i dont know my way 'round brissy at all.

Hi all. good idea. i was starting to wonder how we were going to plan our meets when we have such a large group of mums now.

I would love to hear from all jan, feb and march mums. our babes are all similar ages and i love to meet new people partiarly close by to me. if the friends i have made on bubhub already are anything to go by then the more the merrier (cause you guys are great - not cause you are boring).

I am keen to do something the sat or sunday of the expo. i havent been inside before so dont know where a good place to meet would be but will give it a go. is it really big and busy? will it be hard to find a space.

hope i dont get in trouble for being too specific in the post about the meeting place.

sorry mods, but i think that if people were planning to pray on new mums then they probably alrealdy were planning to go to the baby expo.

Ella came 7 weeks early on the 24th Jan so another Jan baby here. We are going as a family on Friday or Saturday to the baby expo Perhaps we might meet some of you there.

Hi all, glad to see some new people interested in getting together. Please do not think this was specifically for January mums...it was meant for Jan, Feb and Mar mums in Brisbane. I was thinking I might go in to the Expo on Friday...I'm a little afraid of pramrage on the weekends! If anyone else would like to meetup on Friday, pm me and we can organise to meet.

We should also plan to meet again soon, how about Thursday 12th, somewhere in a park? Let me know who would be interested and then we can pm specifics. I'll text Nina and see if she is available too. Kylie when are you working now? Sharon we have to go walking again soon, I've been so slack...will i see you Monday?
