Hi everyone,

I am really hoping someone can help me. i have a 7.5mth old DD who is teething really badly, none have broken through the gums. She is not sleeping at night at all, she wakes up screaming, i give her teething relief and a special mouth paint for her gums that i got from the childrens hospital but still she is not sleeping. During the day she is so sooky and just wants to be held, is this to do with the teething? I need some advice girls, i hope you can help.

Thanks

Hiya,

DD was a nightmare with teething from 6 months until 2years old! Each and everyone caused dramas and pain.

Each time a new one would look like it was starfting to come thru and she was miserable and sooky, we would give her sedagel rubbed directly on the gums to ease the pain. We also found some homeopathic tablets called Hylands teething tablets that we think helped. Apart from that, panadol did bugger all so if it was extreme pain, we were told to give her painstop which is stronger than panadol and that really helped her especially at night.

one thing we did try and worked was an osteopathic treatment - we had aound 4 of these during her teething months and it really helped the pain.

Good luck! I feel your pain.

Hi

Yes it does sound like teething to me, I can understand where your coming from because my 7 & a half month old is going through the same thing :hugs:

I've tried alot of things for pain relief and none had worked until I used bonjella. Have you used it before? You can just buy the tube at Coles. This is the only thing that gave her some relief and a night's rest. If you haven't already tried it, I suggest giving it a go

I found panadol works the best for mine, Bonjella works good, but I find it hard to get it on her gums- when I start to put it in her mouth she know and tries to lick my finger hahaha! So if she wakes through the night I jsut give her a dose of panadol, give her a bf and she's right!

The worse thing for me is that I have a friend who dosn't beleive children feel pain from teething and thinks that it is just an excuse for your child being wingey!! But from being on here I have realised that most people share my opinion not hers!!

I found aswell that she suffers the most pain before the teeth actually cut, once I can see it she seems to be over it! (which I thought was strange), anyway goodluck!!
