I am about to leave the house with DD who is in terry flats for the whole day. How on earth does anyone go out with a normal sized bag while fitting in all the nappying stuff and accessories?
I had to pack my big bag this time and put in four nappies with their liners already folded in, a plastic bag for collecting the wet nappies, and wipes. I have a spare set of clothes, a bib, some food, bottles and formula in a little container.
How do you all do it or am I so clueless that the answer is staring me in the face and Im just not seeing it???? :detective:

I don't use flats - only MCN, but have noticed how much bigger the bag seems now having to have them in there. Esp with 2 in nappies!! MCN take up about 3 x the room of sposies!

I usualy only pack one spare for DD (2) and 3 for DS, but his third is always a GK, so if i need it for DD it's fine. I also b/f so thank god i don't need room for formula, i don't think i'd fit it all in if i did, so you are doing great!!

Since having DS (a very spewy bubs) i also have to pack 3 sets of clothes for him too, as one big spew from him leaves his clothes drenched. So now i have a spare bag in the car. It has spare clothes for each of them and 2 OSFA (GK or bbh) so that if i get stuck i just have to duck back to the car.

My nappy bag has gotten bigger since starting MCN too. Plus Oli soews a bit so I have 1-2 changes of clothes for him plus 'spew rags' (i.e. terry flats), PLUS he is formula fed so somewhere in there I have to fit a couple of bottles and a formula dispenser.

I look like a packhorse arriving at mothers group with this massive bag (sometimes 2 bags if I was in a rush and couldnt downsize anything) while everyone else has their tiny bags for their sposie wearing, breastfed babies...

Oh well, it is worth the hassle, but it is a bit more involved, huh?!?

I have 2 bags.

One fully stocked in the car with spares, that just stays in the boot. In case of poo explosions, vomits etc.

And then I just take a couple of nappies - yes even when I was doing terry flats. A cover, bib, and a few other bits and pieces.

It's easy enough to duck back to the car in case of emergencies, you aren't weighed down like a pack horse, and unless you are going out for more than half a day, you won't need stacks of nappies in your bag.

For instance today, we went out at 11am, and didn't need to change K at all - cause she didn't wee until after we came home at 2pm.

Of course I didn't notice how old your bubba was, the younger they are the more changes nappywise they'll need, as they get older they seem to have less nappy changes and more clothe changes

i just pack my skinniest mcns (eg aios). if i am going out ALL day, i have a nappy bag and another bag with spare clothes, LOTS of bibs, a bunny rug and a toy or two. my nappy bag is fairly big so i can fit everything in there if i'm only out for a few hours...

I still use the same bag.

But i don't ever take anything except a couple of spare BG's, some disposable liners, and a plastic bag to wrap them in if the boys need a change.

I keep spare clothes in the car... and they don't wear bibs anymore.

But when they were younger my nappy bag was huge.. and that was using sposies!

I still use the same bag, with spare clothes, something to throw over the pram if Ariene has her sleep in it, 2 nappies each for Ronan and Ariene. And always a snap-lock bag of snacks, a drink bottle and two empty sippy cups to fill.

No matter how squished up it is in there, I always have room to chuck in my two nicest nappies as 'extras'... that I don't intend on using, but want on hand in case anyone takes an interest in what the kids' nappies are all about, lol!

I'm the same- I have a fully stocked up nappy bag in the car always, and just grab on or two when I go out for my main bag.

I use my trim MCNs when I'm out.

I only use one of those pre-school sized character bags (you know, small backpacks with Barbie, Elmo, Disney Princesses etc, on them), and manage to fit a few MCNs in there.

I normally put 3 MCNs in there, a drink bottle, snacks, books, a small toy, bandaids, nappy cream, a spare disposable or 2 (still in there from when I used to use them), a jumper, spare pants, a bib, antiseptic cream, her red health book, tissues, wipes, antiseptic hand stuff, spoons, poppers (in case she drinks all that's in her cup), zip-lock bags, a le-snack, 2 rusks...etc etc etc...

It all fits (JUST!).

If I need to put more nappies in there, I just take out some of the other stuff that's in there. I hardly use anything that's in there anyway...

I have a good sized nappy bag with pockets and its only for nappies (and woollies). Maybe a pair of pants and a bib. Definitely take up much more room than sposies.

I also pack my trimmest... OR my berry plush with extra inserts.
But when I used my terrys in the beginning I had two bags full.
