Honestly if its not 1 preg symptom thats causing me serious grief, its another! The worst part is I've had them all the WHOLE pregnancy, no breaks!
But this particular one has actually worsened these past few days. I'm 35.5 weeks pg and suffer from that horrible metallic taste in the mouth, especially after I eat/drink sweet things. Today its so bad I can't even bring myself to drink water, its like a furry, metallic taste and its driving me INSANE!
Any advice, any tips, please, IM DESPERATE :(

Mints. Lots and lots of mints. Chewing gum, sour lollies... I had the same thing. Drove me nuts! I just tried to always have something to shove in my mouth to hide it for a while.
Hope it goes away for you soon! It probably will... in about 4.5 weeks

Hi - I remember that metallic taste can mean zinc and/or B12 deficiency.
So maybe a nice thick BBQ'd steak is in order :)
Fizzy cola bottle sweets worked while I was sucking on them. Also, lots of Listerine: mouth wash morning and night and anytime I could manage in-between, and those Listerine strips whenever else.
Like Faeml said, chewing gum is great but I found the flavour dissipated too quickly so mint Lifesavers went with me everywhere.
Completely sympathise - utterly hated it!

Are you taking vitamins? Someone on another site mentioned they had this taste while taking regular vitamins and when they switched to pregnancy ones it went away.
Try eating more savoury foods to counteract it?
Try drinking a glass of milk?
Try foods high in acid?

I have noticed its worse when I eat sugary foods, like chocolate or orange juice, pineapple etc. It was so bad last night! Will ask the middie at my ante-natal class tonight, hope its not a defficiency. I am taking preg vitamins (elevit), homeopathic remedies, iron tabs and rasberry leaf tabs, but apart from the rasb leaf tabs, ive been on the others the whole time.
Hi there! I know how u are feeling!
I am not taking any supplements, adn I get this horrid metallic taste in my mouth... especially at night time.
I have found that even if I drink milk... its still gross.
Hope you find something that can cure it for you... and then let me know;)
