My stepmum gave me $100 to spend on bubs.

So far I've bought,

* 2 cotton babies microfibre inserts.... coz I love these and they're on sale

* Cheetah Starbunz.

so I have about $50 ... WHAT SHOULD I BUY!????

I'm thinking some newborn/small fitteds... maybe TotsBots or Snappi Nappy... but don't know much about them...

But the swaddlebees look so nice too....

what do you suggest? What would YOU buy??

You could also email Lesley at CK's & see if you can go on the list for her Raphaels !

They are gorgeous fitteds !!!

Otherwise i would go a couple of good covers cause a newborn will only needs flats to begin with cause you are changing them so often !

thinking about wool...... confused about wool... do I REALLY need wool??

I second the CK Raphael suggestion- I don't have them, nor have I had/will have a newborn in MCN, so I can't speak from experience....

But they just look soooooo adorable!! I want one for Ronan's teddy

Other then that, I'd get some bamboo or Canningvale flats- I could be wrong but I think they'd last just as long as a Snappy Nappy or similar (one wee). Perfect for newborns requiring, like, 100 nappy changes a day!

Oh and I'd get a couple of soft bamboo velour night nappies for when bub starts to sleep through (or maybe as encouragemet  )

Ok you have covers sorted lol !

Im getting a few longies in the next couple of weeks will mean Bump can be kept warm through winter !

Wool is great but its a bit fiddly in that you need to lanolise etc but it works wonders ! So it depends on whether you dont mind that extra work so to speak. Maybe grab a soaker then see how you go !

There have been some really cheap soakers on Ebay of late so you could even grab a couple !

What about accessories like wipes, liners & even say wet bags for when you are out ? They add up when you need to buy a few etc.

Ummmm otherwise yeah just contact Lesley at Cherubs Kiss or maybe grab a Bubblebubs they are gorgeous too !

You know what I think the easiest wool covers are the BBH wool wraps. They would be good for lots of changes  Does anyone know if they come in little bubba sizes? :detective:

I really loved Tots Bots (both the cotton and the Bamboozles) on my DS when he was newborn. Thick, soft, and fluffy, absorbent enough for newborn wee, and they look so cute! They'd work great with your Bummis and Tots covers too.

DH loved the TBs with Aplix (velcro) because they were so easy to use, I preferred Snappis because they give better adjustability (esp. as DS grew).

Jet was a big bub and the size 1 lasted him for ages, in fact the Tots Bots lasted him longer size-wise than all his other small nappies.

I've got the boys in cloth already... so have....

15 BBH Bamboo
3 bumgenius pockets
3 Haute pockets
3 AIO's (WAHM)

12 terry flats ( I will get more when Bubs is born... having trouble finding folds that fit the boys... Ideas Ally??.. so they're not really getting the use I'd like at the moment... but definately planning on having bubs in them most of the time)

Kimba: How long did the bamboo Tots take to dry????

Thinking of getting some newborn sized nappies just for bubs.. but not sure...

Some hemp or bamboo prefolds maybe??

Oh im freaking lazy lol !

Folds smolds lol !

I fold them into a rectangle so they are a large pad then pop the liner ontop then throw them in the Bummi's cover lol !

Will be doing the same with Bump ! Ive actually got small coloured hand towels that i got out of a big stash off Ebay last year. The woman has even sewn on the polar fleece so i dont need to fiddle with it ! These lay into either the small Bummis or a small Eenies wrap.

I will use my wool longies at nite with a BBB especially for the early morning feed where i can get away with not changing Bump ! Otherwise i will have some Raphaels.

But yeah bugger doing a fold for such big bubbas lol use the terry as a pad ! Tis waaaaay easier !

I have had so many suggest this to me & honestly im glad they did cause otherwise i wouldnt have bothered with flats !

Boof would never lie still enough to allow me to fiddle with folding let alone getting it on him lol ! Its hard enough this way !

I wouldn't bother with the newborn size.. they grow out of them in no time at all..

Have you got a wetbag or a little squirt?
