Blisters on top of gums

Hi all,

I know there have been a few teething posts recently but none went into the blisters!

DD looks like she is getting her top 2 teeth coming through but the poor little might has these big swollen gums that look like they are blisters!

We have tried everything to ease her pain - panadol, nurofen, hylands teething tablets, brauers, phenergan but nothing seems to be helping!

Did anyone else experience this? If so, how long until the teeth actually appeared?

Poor bugger has a cold too at the moment so no sleep all around.:(

Yeah the blisters sound normal as though its the teeth almost ready to push through.
I found brauers a good remedy but sometimes this did nothing especially when it was just about to cut through which is why maybe bubs is so upset.
Just keep offering things to chew on whether it be cold, warm, hard or soft there will be something she likes that helps ease it maybe even you rubbing her gums may ease it a little.
My bubs liked either a cold teether or a rusk which he really bit down on & would rub across them.
There isnt much else you can do but hang in there & offer lots of cuddles & reassurance.
It will pass just be patient !

yep have tried all that too - poor thing is off all warm food at the moment and only wants biscuits, cheese and yoghurt!:rolleyes:

Dont worry if thats all she wants let her have it she wont let herself starve :)

My little one is getting his top teeth at the moment too - all 4 of them!! Arrgh! :eek:

The only thing that works to soothe him is everything at once - so we have some teething gel, brauers and panadol. Luckily he only needs it once every few days at the moment, it seems to go one good day, one bad. Two of them are starting to come through and the other two aren't far behind.

He hasn't gone off his food or his sleep though, for which I am eternally grateful!!:D
