I just had an interesting discussion with a dad pal of mine as we were talking about the endless bags of clothes we have for our kids since they grow out of them so quickly.
And so I wanted to hear everyone elses thought on this...
What clothing brands do you buy and why for your bubs???
See I live in a fairly expensive area in sydney, hubby and i are comfotrable in saying that we are still t-r-y-i-n-g to save for a house which will never happen most likely!
When it comes to clothes he likes his Industry and Missimo etc - me as long as it looks good on me and I am comfortable I'm happy! Even if its a $20 cheapie!
In the last 12 months when shopping for DD in Mosman my eyes have nearly popped out at the cost of baby clothes
I've been to places like babe-cino or kids-central and am amazed that you can pay up to and over $80 or for a 000 baby suit long or short sleeve!!! And that's just the start!
Our DD got (as presents) some lovely stuff from Fred Bare, heaps and heaps of baby guess which I must admit lasted her ages when she didnt grow out of it!
But bring on the good old Bonds & Target for us! I have found it lasts (if I wash it correctly heheeh that is!)
So over to you...what brands do you but and why for your bub?
I'd do a poll thinggy but have no idea how to get one of those running!

When Summer was first born we were very into pumpkin patch because we thought the more it costs, the best it must be. Oh but how wrong was I! Barely lasted a month or two most of them as she grew so quickly!
So I learnt my lesson second time around! I'm happy to buy my baby Bonds (love bonds!) Kmart, Target & best & less clothes
I don't go for particular brands but particular stores.
I shop for the whole family at Big W, Best and Less, Target, Kmart.
My kids always look great. We donate all our clothes to charity every few months.
My favourite stuff is from Cotton on Kids and Bonds. I dont mind paying a little extra for kids and baby clothes, I find the cheap clothes stretch out of shape easily. As far as brand name stuff like fred bare, I would never pay that much for clothes that they wont fit into for long.

I have discovered a fabbo label called "Littlehorn",...also,.."Rock your baby", "Big by Fiona Scanlan" and good old target for basics..... Oh,..and Cotton OnKids has some really funky stuff!

When DS was a baby, he had a few outfits from Pumpkin Patch but they were all gifts. I buy pretty much all his clothes from Big W and sometimes Kmart and Target. I haven't had any problems with quality and he always looks good.
Personally, I think spending a lot of money on kids clothes is ridiculous, particularly for babies as they only fit for a couple of months, but even with DS his clothes never fit for longer than one season.
we are luck with kenzee she get s alot of use out of them
I tend to go for bonds for home and hospital stays and for her normal everyday goig out clothes i like target and patch any thing with an ajustable waist is a winner for me
Im the sort of person if i like it i buy it weather its a 4 dollar big W special or a 90 dollar pair of roxy jeans, like the ones i got the other day but in saying that she will get about 3 years out of them they are way to big even though i got the smalest size and i know thay willlast well

I love bonds.. DD has a pink stripey bonds suit that has lasted about 6 months. Its an 0 and there is still plenty of room and it has held its shape and colour.
I mainly get her clothes from Target/Big W. My sister buys DD Pumpkin Patch for birthday/Christmas, its always a little bit too small, even a size 2!

I actually find Bonds to be a little exy, so I'll only get a couple of hoodies in winter cause they are so damn cute.
I buy 90% of the kids clothes at Target, but only when the sales are on because at the 20 - 25% off sales make a huge difference.
I do shop at Big W, Cotton On and Kmart aswell, but Target is the main one for us
i LOVE brand named clothes, just for the simple matter THEY REALLY REALLY LAST....
and psstt... i buy them in good 2.hand shops or childrens markets....but donīt tell anyone...

I like buying good quality kids clothes, but if I buy Fred Bare, OshKosh or Pumpkin Patch I only ever buy it on sale. For my nephew the only clothes that fit well in pants is Fred Bare and Pumpkin Patch. Which meant for winter this year I brought him a pair of Fred Bare pants that cost me $70!! but so be it they are all that fit him properly and look good on him.

I really like the Sprout line of clothing from Myer. Most of the clothes are really funky and good quality and similar prices to Target and Kmart. I don't think the quality is all that for Kmart and they seem expensive for what they are. Target has good quality stuff but not a huge range here for boys. Never been a fan of Best n Less except for their baby singlets. They rock and are heaps better than the Bonds ones. We now use bonds singlets as cleaning rags they go so shabby.

DD gets fairly cheap-ish clothes.
Most of her clothes are bought from Target... I love Target.
I don't get anything from K-mart because I usually don't see anything I like in there, and occassionally I'll get her some "slobbing around the house" or PJs from Best and Less.
I do like Cotton On, very cool clothes... but I only get her skirts and tops/jumpers from there... their pants don't tend to cater for big bums... and definately not big bums in cloth!
I go to Pumpkin Patch every so often... I usually get the sale items. Last year and this year I've gotten her a multi-coloured knitted zip-up jacket... they're pretty much the same each year but different colours. I think they're very cute.
She can't wear their pants though - I've found that PP tends to cater for leaner babies, and definately not chubby in cloth ones. So she occassionally get a top or jumper or skirt from there... but not often.
I can usually find somethnig I want at Target - their jeans fit REALLY WELL on big fat DD.
Occassionally Myer too... I used to really like the Sprout stuff... now she's outgrown those. A lot of Myer stuff is pretty hideous for older kids though... the younger ones get the nice stuff, but 3+ seems to be pretty limited (and ugly).

Bonds all the way! I love the bonds hoodies and trackies..soo cute.
I agree that for around the house, cheap is best as it gets dirty and they grow out of it so quickly... but for going out, I don't mind splurging a little - Pumpkin Patch, Absorba, Bebe to name a few..
Having said that, I went to a boutique baby clothing store the other day and saw this GORGEOUS pastel rose silk dress with matching overcoat that I wanted to buy for my DD.. I bolted out of there when I found out it was $450!!!!! Collette Dinnigan the saleslady told me..I like designer brands but I think that was pushing it a little!

I buy my kids clothes from all different stores. But I always buy on sale (usually clearance sales).
I normally have a few really nice outfits and then lots of comfy cheaper clothes that the kids wear around home or out shopping with mummy etc...

My kids have a mix of both. I am a big fan of eeni meeni miini moh and I do have alot of it. I get it at cost price though and it lasts and lasts.
I used to buy alot of Pumokin Patch but I don't think the quality is very good for what you pay. Everything pills really easily.
We have a bit of Fred Bare as well and that is great quality as well.
I don't mind paying for clothes if they was and wear nicely.

bonds is my fave brand. And i love shopping at trade secret. Good fancy brands at fairly discounted prices. I prefer not to buy exxy stuff all the time as kids grow way too fast and i cant justify spending that much money on that tiny bit of fabric lol.
Most of the everyday stuff the kids wear is from kmart, target and big w and it does the job and lasts as much as the more costly clothing.
I op shop alot... and i usually get some pretty good brands.. i love the "fill a bag for 2 dollars" days ;)

I have bought Amelia pretty expensive clothes but only because we are more comfortable money wise than when I had DD1 and 2 and envied all the expensively dressed kids so maybe it`s something I feel the need to do...........I do buy alot of them on ebay though, nwt and get some great deals from Baby Gap. Osh Kosh and Benneton etc.
I think when Myer has it`s 30% off soem baby ranges they are fantastic prices.
I am from the UK and stuff is much more expensive there so all prices here are good to me....especially Target and Big W

milly in her Big W bunny suit
I am interested in quality clothing so buy the best for what I can afford. I also avoid the big box stores (eg Target and best and Less) cos the quality is shocking and the price too high for what it is. Also for ethical reasons. I prefer to buy from op shops and buy some special things there. I like the Euro brands and if lucky (and have the time) I can get them for a $1 or 2. I also like the DFo. Much cheaper and better quality than the big box stores.

At this stage I have brought all of bubs clothing from the Bay Bee Cino, Bonds, Seed Children Wear, Ralph Lauren and the Eeni Meeni Miini Moh range. I also have received some adorable outfits from Cotton on Kids.
I wouldn’t pay $80 for a single bodysuit. At this stage the main things I look for when purchasing clothes for bub is that they are cotton preferably organic cotton, easy to undo and do up and lastly of good quality.

For both kidlets~I love
Bonds,
oobi
cotton on kids and
100's and 1000's from kmart/bigW have some real cute stuff too
DS~ I hate pumpkin patch for boys they really have nothing I would put my son in usually BUT I did score a fab pair of cool jeans there last week with a  guitar on the back pocket very rock!!!
AND they didnt cost me an arm or a leg lol
He mainly wears stuff from
target
bigw and
kmart
BUT he has a couple of $ stuff for going out
DD~ I love
bebe,
eternal creations and
lazybones
I like PP for girls they have some very cute pieces,
BUT most of the $ stuff shes gotten as gifts (first granddaughter so everyones gone overboard lol)
He's had some really expensive items that his grandmother/I just couldn't resist (Ralph Lauren) and we regularly have a walk through Pumpkin Patch but most of his clothes are currently from Myer's Sprout range, Bonds (for singlets) or Cotton On Kids.
Though I have to close my eyes to walk past Fred Bare ... so so so lovely! So so so expensive!
I have a problem with buying clothes for DS :o - I know no limit. I generally opt for more expensive brands but wait for sales, go to DFO or wait for warehouse clearances.
I must admit though, my favourite purchase of this season has been a little pair of camo pants from Best & Less (DP doesn't like them so I didn't want to spend too much money in case they got banned) and they are fantastic and they still look amazing.
*Sighs deeply* I love a bargain.
Is anyone else anal about colours matching? I have to have it all matching...I never let DP dress DS without my approval.

funny , i was just thinking about this exact thing the other day and was going to start a thread about it.
i went to a sale the other day in an upmarket children's shop. i don't know what i was doing there, but next thing you know, i see all these ladies walking around with piles of designer clothes thrown over their arms and their well dressed kids tagging along behind. i felt peer pressure. i felt like i should be buying nicer clothes for my 3 yo DS and almost 2yo DD...as i normally buy them target and cotton on kids.
i felt as though maybe i was being cheap about my kids and maybe i should buy them some designer outfits - just like everyone else appeared to be doing. i was eyeing off a pair of size 2 girls' guess jeans for $90; i really did love them , and this lady waltzed up and grabbed a pair for her DD and said 'aren't they gorgeous' and threw them on teh counter along with all the other new designer clothes she was buying....
so i thought 'wow, that looks so easy' and did the same thing, and my MIL would be really impressed too. i matched it to a guess cardigan, was getting 40% off , but it was still far more than i have ever spent before. i paid the bill, feeling as though , for once i wasn't being tight with my kids and that maybe this is what i should have been doing all along - just like these other ladies were.
.......until i rocked up to target and cotton on kids later that day.....beautiful clothes, a fraction of the price, no pressure. in fact, i preferred the clothes here. they weren't precious....it was alright if they got stained, snagged on a tree, banana stains, etc.
i felt like a fool for thinkiing i needed those designer clothes, that i was influenced by those fiscally carefree ladies. oh well, supposed you live and learn.

I dont know about matching but coordinating~definately
and yes my dh is the same, I would not let dh near ds:no:
I will usually buy any brand that washing well and the sizing that seems to fit DS well. He has a a mixture of Target, Bonds, Cotton On, Sprout and PP. He has been given a lot of hand me down clothes and I usually buy things when they are having some great sales.
I really love the Sprout brand atm - Myers is often having 20-30% off sales and you even get this off items that are already reduced. I love good bargains!! :D
I dont know about matching but coordinating~definately

  same here with my DH, I can't imagine how he would dress DS if I didn't leave clothes out hehe
I am not anal about matching colours but as NM said I like DS to at least look like his clothes go well together iykwim.
I dont know about matching but coordinating~definately
 I meant the c word but the m word came out!
I even have 5 pairs of shoes for DS so that he has a pair of shoes that can match any possible outfit combination.
I LOVE the stuff they have at Cotton on Kids. But when I go there, I spend $100 and get very few items... when I could have gone to Best & Less and got a whole bag full!
Ohwell... I still do it, and DD still looks cute in her little outfits! (even if they do only fit for a small amount of time!)

DS has a real range of stuff
- Fred Bare
- Sprout
- Rock your baby
- Quicksilver
- Billabong
- Bonds
- Gap
- Pumpkin Patch
And some stuff from Target.
I just buy things I think r cute...the brand isn't whats important
My kids are mainly in Cotton On and Bonds. More Cotton on that anything I think that quality is A+++ it never bobbles or fades.
Bonds never bobbles either and it has the funkiest designs and at Big W I find it the cheapest.
They also wear Target Best and less and Kmart.
Only Pumpkin Patch and other designer clothes here at hand me downs or gifts. We have the money to buy them, but my hubby and I choose not too. Plus I dont think they look any better than the other stuff.

I buy most of my kids' clothes from second hand stores, if I find something that has a brand name on it then thats just a bonus. The girls have also gotten clothes given to them (hand me downs) from friends and family, some have brand names, others don't it doesn't bother me either way I'd rather my kids be comfortable then anything else.

I love op-shops for bub's clothes! Very rarely will I buy brand new stuff for her. I'm not a brand snob, why bother. I have found the cutest clothes when op-shopping. They're usually near new as well! I love a bargin! :D

I buy DS Bonds or Target stuff. He grows so quickly that we have to get bigger sizes to get some use out of them. I let my family/friends buy the expensive stuff, if that's really what they want to do. I like the cheaper stuff because DS is a chucky bub at the moment (4.5 mths), so we need to have plenty of clothes to change him into so that we don't have to do the washing all the time. The expensive stuff that family/friends buy seem to come from Pumpkin Patch or Seed mostly. I'm also lucky that my mum knits, so DS has some lovely woollen jumpers and hats.

I buy all bubs clothes from Target, Big W, Best & Less, Cotton On. We get lots of clothes off the grandparents as well which are usually quite expensive from myer and David Jones which is ok by me!
i buy my kids clothes from ebay. there are particular brands that last really well (they hold thier shape and colour etc) so I like to buy those particular brands (fred bare, esprit and osh kosh). noah is now wearing owen's clothes even though we bought them second hand, thats how good they are.
i believe that you get what you pay for, although there are some 'designer' clothes that you pay a fortune for that are really dodge like BIG. i have had trouble with all of thier clothes and they cost a fortune!
so yeah, some brands i like are a bit pricey but i believe i save in the long run.

I buy from whatever shop has the outfit that appeals to me the most. I have found Kmart to have no girly girl clothes just all trackies for dd's age. I hate trackies and that on her. So if I go into Best and less (B&L boutique) and they have what I like I buy same as Target, Big w etc. Pumpkin patch doesn't have clothes that I like its all the same it has been for years but different colours! Very boring to me!!
Most of DS's clothes seem to be Pumpkin Patch and Sprout. He has some other brands but I would say that those two would be the majority. I love the Sprout stuff, its SO cute and its not that expensive. I go in there often and always buy something.
They are the ones I like. I usually get the Pumpkin Patch from DFO. I just find it really cute and it fits him well. I dunno...I just loike it and I love spending money on his clothes and dressing him up, just like playing Barbies! lol.
I used to like Baby Gap and Esprit, but their pant legs are too short for my tall lanky kid.
We have a joke in this house - DS gets Pumpkin Patch, I get K Mart and DH gets Vinnies. Its a joke but its sort of true, hee hee.
I'm sure that once he gets mobile and starts playing in the dirt the days of mummy playing dress-ups on the baby will be over.

But bring on the good old Bonds & Target for us! I have found it lasts (if I wash it correctly heheeh that is!)
Bonds and Target look soooo expensive to me!! A lot of the time anyway. I'd rather get second hand (I've found a lot of your upper class brands at the opshops barely used- FB, Baby Gap etc). Otherwise we just get by on gifts (I ask for clothes for the kids' birthdays so we do alright) and a few basics from Big W.
What is common, is for me to pick up something lovely and boutique-branded at the op shop for a couple of dollars (a gorgeous embroidered cord pinafore the other day). But then I'll get the nice soft cotton blend Bonds tights to go under it. And a cute headband. But Big W pre-walkers!! $3 on the throwout table!!
I also knit and I dye my babies clothes to make them look unique- but not too out-there. :D Cheap but I like the way she looks!
Ronan, well, I just scored a heap of jeans and cords on FreeCycle for him- great for the park and the backyard- he tears or wears through SO MANY pairs of pants in one winter.
ETA- I must add that Ariene might wear op-shop clothes etc, but is currently in a luxury bamboo velour nappy. You can't get more premium then that!!
Best and Less and Big W all the way here...
And the boys always look LOVELY!!!!:D

Gymboree all the way here! Their clothes are absolutely divine and fantastic quality. I can't find any brand that matches their quality.
Their clothes never lose their shape &/or colour.
I just can't bring myself to even enter Pumpkin Patch any more. I can't stand the boys' clothing. When is PP going to get it through their heads that boys don't necessarily need to be seen in something with skulls, skateboarders &/or slogans announcing that they're brats and break things all over it?:banghead:
We also have Old Navy, Gap and a few Seed items.

Baby cino was one of the first places i went to and ended up buying ONE outfit for $70 (And that was on sale!) anyways she ended up wearing it a couple of times, and before you know it she grew out of it - no matter how hard i tried to squeeze her chubby little legs in it :p
I like Target, Kmart, Cotton On, Bambino, Best and Less - Especially for things she wears at home and sleeps in, because you end up washing it so much that no matter how much money you spend on it it will eventually disinergrate. Bonds are great because i find the quality better than other brands.
FOr going out outfits i tend to find the variety better at Myers and David Jones. I love the bebe range.

I buy my son clothes from Best & Less, Big W, Kmart and Target, and they last and are great..... I usually buy them ahead at sale times so I get jeans usually $20 for $8 for example, I dont pay full price for his clothes! As even the cheaper shops are still quiet expensive for what they actually are......
As for when he was a baby, I got alot of his clothes from second hand shops, in new condition but a third of the price or less! Anything from Bonds to Pumpkin Patch, to Bunnykins.....
Baby bonds grow suits were too small for my son, as the legs are made for shorter babies...not a long legged baby like my little man.....
And my son has clothes with skulls on it, and definately ones that say he's a brat, etc, why not......I love them.....

But also tight and miserly( no.. "canny and resourceful".. Jess remember?)
And I adore a good bargain so DS has hardly any bought new clothes except some cheapies from coles and Aldi, the aldi ones are terrible quality, I didn't realise as I bought when I was pregnant and the coles were emergency buy and they are pretty shoddy too.
I buy clothes from Ebay and Opshops. About half his clothes are peter rabbit and another 40% are Bunnykins, Paddington, Osh Kosh pumpkinpatch ( l like the hats) and other "good brands". I just bought some (secondhand ) bonds suits and I am pretty impressed, especially with the cute stripey one he powerpooped all over yesterday, it holds it's shape really well.
I Rarely spend more than $20 on myself but have a lot of good quality clothes and I am not going to grow out of them so be darned if I am going to spend $60 on clothes he is going to poop on, smear food on, dribble on, rub dirt on and spit up on etc when he will also be too big for them in a month. He doesn't know that they are second hand! People often comment on how beautifully he is dressed!

I get my kids clothes from Big W and K-Mart (which is closing down), but I find them very expensive. I mean, $20 for a t-shirt for a 3yr old and $30 for a pair of jeans for a 9yr old??

Big W, best & Less, Target, Kmart.....most places i shop at to get DS clothes....i bargain hunt...don't like paying too much as yes they do grow out of them too quickly!!! He always looks nice though!
I would never pay full price at Pumpkin Patch and places like that....it is just a waste of money IMO.
We also get given clothes too, which are like new....which i have no shame in using :)
Also i check ebay and the op shops too for bargains!!
I just bought some clothes that were on sale at kmart...Jumpers for $8 and $6....2 pairs of track pants for $8.....and a few other things on sale...
DD wears Pumpkin Patch, Bebe etc. and has some clothes from Target.
I don't buy Fred Bare or Esprit but she does have a Fred Bare cardigan my aunty got her...I know for a fact my aunty wouldn't have paid more than $4.00 for it (the joy of working at Myer).
My reason being is that the cheaper clothes, while nice, tend to be made for chubbier babies and DD is a skinny minny. The more expensive clothes fit her better, or they have adjustable waists...like Pumpkin Patch etc. I have bought a couple of outfits from Big W and she's never worn them cause she never gets fat enough before she outgrows them lengthwise.
I don't go overboard with buying clothes and she wears her clothes to death....definitely get our money's worth.
I always look for sales too and buy things when they're discounted to help save.
ETA - We are big Sprout fans in this house too!
Kmart & bigW for us. Usually as cheap as possible as they grow out of them so quick. I do have a love for winnie-the-pooh clothes which are a bit more but she has a couple of them for going out clothes.:D
I try to buy second hand good condition as well.

I do love Gymboree. I have bought a few things (only sale items as that's all I can afford). Just found Ruby's new school backpack on their - hot pink and leopard print :D
Oh and yes, not just boys can wear clothes with skulls. I'm sick of having to go to the boys section for it :p

I have 2 lots of clothes for DS. DS goes to daycare 5 days a week where he paints, get's dirty and what have you. so I have daycare clothes and normal outing clothes. His daycare clothes are anything. Some are pumpkin patch that are a little on the small side or gotten really dirty or I just don't particulary like, also are any clothes that go out of shape or have stains on them.
His normal outing clothes probably mostly consist of Myer and Pumpkin Patch clothes. I've found that if I buy KMART, target, Best N Less, Big W they go out of shape really easily. They're are obviously some that haven't but most of them do.
If I see something I like, I pick it up no matter where it's from but I tend to go for bonds, pumpkin patch and Myer mostly.
Im prodominantly a target and best for less girl but I do get some pumpkin patch stuff. Mostly for DS as he is very skinny and the PP stuff has adjustable waists. DD has a couple of little 2 piece PP outfits for when I feel like dressing her properly but nothing too extravagant.

DS wore a lot of Fred Bare, Osh Kosh etc as a baby, but I learnt my lesson. Bags of expensive clothes and a DD that can't wear them :banghead:
Most of DDs & DS's clothes are from Target or K mart....although a new store has opened up in our local shopping centre and the most expensive item of clothing is $10!
The majority of the clothes my kids are now wearing are from this store...brilliant quality and they look great!

Quoting from the shopping heaven here, I did buy a lot expensive branded clothes as they were too adorable..especially for the first 2 years. Sooner i realised that i have many that brand new and even with tags still on... it is such a waste of money and now in his age of 3, i have almost trimmed down to nothing. He simply has about 3-4 jeans/shorts plus a couples of tshirts/sleeveless. thats all. I tend to buy a bulk only during season sales for the next season. I believe we should really keep the money for any other usage than on his fancy clothings. I do agree that he needs to have 1-2 sets of GOOD looking ones for special occasions or simply for the weekends.

we buy brands... petitie bateau, Fred Bare, eenie meeni, IKKS, some french brands, actually the plainer the piece the better, I am not a fan of cartoon characters, and lots of stuff on babies clothes. Yep, we buy lots of expensive clothes REALLY REALLY CHEAP....
I buy everything second hand apart from singlets and some basic t-shirts and spencers.... Clea doesnt have any new clothes apart from what she got as presents. I recently went shopping at Kmart and it is expensive! I rarely spend more than $10 on a piece of clothing.
I spent $25 on ebay (inc postage) and got 1 fred bare cardigan and one pumpkin patch cardigan. they are perfect, soft cotton and look great. I am fairly new at this, but the target, kmart things she has been given go out of shape after a few washes. Not a fan.
i find the best place to buy bubs clothes is op shops or second hand shops of of the internet like oztion or ebay as bub is only going to be in them for awhile and the are just going to wee and poo and dribble and throw up on the clothes so i dont see any point in buying expensive clothes
(if you want the oztion web address pm me )

I like the brands, they wear well and then I can sell them on Ebay and usually get half what I paid. Love the french designer stuff, love Fred Bare, Minihaha, Oilily, Baby Lulu.
I don't consider the domestic stuff like Pumpkin Patch to be designer, but it's cheap enough to be ok for Kindy.
I don't buy licensed clothing (like Spiderman etc) as I don't like it.

*Nods in agreement*
I also don't buy anything with a slogan that is "supposed" to be cute or funny and certainly nothing that proclaims him to be a "Bad Boy" or a brat of any description or anything like that.
Fussy aren't I ??!! :D
DS has a real range of stuff
- Fred Bare
- Sprout
- Rock your baby
- Quicksilver
- Billabong
- Bonds
- Gap
- Pumpkin Patch
And some stuff from Target.
I just buy things I think r cute...the brand isn't whats important
Same here, i buy what i think is cute and have the same range for my DD... but also have adidas, nike etc. I'm lucky though as I live near a retail outlet shopping centre and get these brands for much cheaper!

I buy the majority of DS clothing off ebay. I buy a lot of pumpkin patch tracksuits off ebay as I find they wear well for everyday and he's really comfy in them, but would never pay full price for pumpkin patch in store, just cant justify it. So apart from a HUGE amount I buy off ebay (you should have seen how much I bought when I was pregnant, I went banana's:p  ) I also buy from best & less, big W and target mostly. I love to buy anything on sale and try to save as much money as I can. I dont think you need to spend big dollars for good quality and your bub to look great. They just grow out of everything so quickly dont they?!

I used to only ever shop at pumpkin patch, but have learnt that i couldnt afford to buy every item there. I now shop pumpkin patch for good clothes and buy the majority of ds day wear from target. I have found that i can save hundreds this way and i still think he looks smart. I also am a fan of cotton on kids.
If kids are clean and tidy what difference does it make what they wear really?
I buy all my kids clothes from kmart, target and best and less! If I find really cute stuff from pumpkin patch I will get it! But I dont shop there all the time.
I went to target the other day and thought OMG at their prices as you can buy PP on-line for cheaper!!! or at the Factory outlets
I am a fan of Fred Bare and Pumpkin Patch (love the adjustable waist) and Osh Kosh and Esprit and I have way way too many clothes for DS in a variety of sizes for him to grow into. I buy mostly from the markets and Ebay, the most I have paid is $15 on Ebay for Fred Bare or $22 from PP factory outlet for some camo pants I really really wanted!!
My spare room has lots of bags of clothes in it  I think I am adicted to markets and opshops and soon as I see a label in those places feel compelled to get it

We buy many brand name things
PP, Minihaha, baby gap, esprit, bonds, Billabong, sprout, target, K Mart, Cotton on
Most things I buy either onsale or online.
I think target is ok for some stuff, but K Mart is poor quality. It gets ruined in the wash.
DH is worse than me, spending $60 on a pair of shorts the other day!
i hardly ever buy kids clothes, between all the people i know with kids and my older two, i manage to get hand me downs for everyone. usually. although now dd is 10 years she does want to be fashionable so i will buy her some things, but in this case it is just as much her choice waht to buy as it is mine:detective:
if i do need clothes for the younger ones i just go to the local shops and find something that we need at the price we can afford in the colour that my kids are into.
they don't seem to mind what they ar ewearing, i think they would prefer to run around naked all the time if only i would let them!!

Im not a sucker for a certain brands.... but I do splurge on the boys clothes.
Its more the quality that I look for, and I want them to look funky, so for me a mix of Target, Pumpkin Patch, City Beach and the occasional Fred or Guess...
But I've just discovered Cotton On for Kids....and gotta say, love it lots

I get given lots of clothes from family and friends overseas. When I do buy, it's usually from Target or Cotton on Kids and Pumpkin Patch. I refuse to spend a fortune on clothes that will fit him for two months or will get stained etc. The quality is fine and the styles are really cute (especially Cotton-on).
I only buy baby clothes when they are on sale. Usually being K-mart, Big W & Target. I always grab clothes for his next size up to, so they are there ready for him when he fits them.
I shop at the shops which were mentioned but I also loved the Factory outlets. I can buy DS Esprit shirts for $8 and u can buy guess, Bonds etc. Although there are times I shop and find absolutely nothing so timing is eveything.
