View Full Version : Need some reasurance!
My DD2 has a really nice diarrhea (from teething) and im struggling here!
I have 4 kids (1 in nappies full time and 1 in them sometimes) and my Dh is away and i just want to change back to sposies until this poo explosion finishes BUT i feel GUILTY!
I dont believe that i was so cynical in regards to MCN's and now when i want to use sposies again for a few days i feel so bad!
Its just the extra washing in this weather, (its p!ssing down here) yeah iknow i know...we're in a drought, i dont have any help atm and its HARD!
Please please...i need to hear lots of " you can do its".
Sorry for the stoopid post:o

Sorry to hear you are having a tough time with it. Every time I have a tough time with Oli I remember that it is temporary... like if he is waking 3 or 4 or 5 times a night, I know he can sleep through, and eventually he will again. So the poo-plosions will stop, it is only temporary. Have you tried flushable liners to make getting rid of the poo easier on you? Of course it still wont make it easy but might help a little. And if it does get too much there is nothing wrong with using disposables to save your sanity, and it would only be until the nappies were manageable again!
ok, feel better soon, Cherry

Hey Tanya,
Don't beat yourself up over it hon, if you feel that you can't do it for a bit then so be it.. so long that you are happy then nothing else matters. I was about to serenade you then :p Take a break if you need to but don't let it upset the apple cart.
I know what you mean about the cr@appy weather :banghead: it makes things so tedious doesn't it. I know I've had a few thoughts about chucking it all in, but I don't think I'll ever be able to let the stash go :o
Anyhoo... I hope the poo explosions end quickly!! :hugs:
Just for you...
You CAN Do This !!!!
You can do it!
BUT don't feel guilty about using sposies till the diarreah ends...
both the boys are in them today for kindy because all my pockets and most of my fitteds are in the wash/dryer :o
It's temporary! And you'll be back in cloth before you know it!

You can do it, but honestly... do what you need to do. If Thomas had the runs and I couldn't keep up with the washing I'd by a pack of sposies just to get us through. The rain is lovely but hard when you have a load nappies that need drying and a bub who is producing lot's-o-poop!
You can do it! I understand the guilt. I felt soooo bad when DD had a yeast infection and had to be in sposies while we used the creams needed to clear it.
DD has that poop as her normal poop and some days it is soooo hard (especially when you don't have a little squirt) but if you want to you can do it!
If it gets too much there's a shop at the Junction that sells biodegradable sposies....not sure how well they work cause I've never tried them but you could do it guilt free that way!

I live in Canberra, we never have good drying weather except in summer. I have 2 kids in cloth full time. I have had many times where the poo was just too much. but I powered through it, probably because of subborness and the fact I would have had to walk to the shops to get sposies
But if you need to take a break do what you gotta do, it will only take a couple of sposies to remind you why you love cloth :D

It's funny how you can have such guilt over something that was just a part of everyday life for so long.
I hear ya though - i actually have a dirty little secret......the sposies that MIL bought after i had DD that i complained & *****ed about......she has one on at the moment. She has had horrible diarrhea the last few days - i could handle it while she was wearing pockets, but now they are all int he wash - i couldn't stand it with fitteds - went traight through the eenee liners, and my microfleece ones. ewwww. If you still have some - i would use them - deal witht he guilt while having a chardy!! (runs & hides now......)
Sorry everyone - BUT just use the disposies and don't be so hard on yourself. :) I'm going to have to today. All my cloth nappies are wet and won't dry with this cold wet weather, and I've just put the last dry one on DS and it is only lunchtime....
Don't feel bad for using a few sposies. I know it feels like your being hypocritical but sometimes you just cope however best you can.
:hugs: hope your bub gets over the runs soon.

(she has bad milk alleriges ) anyhoo - now i remembered why i use cloth - the sposie leaked everywhere - clothes ...rocker... everywhere ...... now i pack spared cloth in the car !!! :p
