Very new and anxious!!

Hi everyone,

New to this and I must say I am anxious to find out if I am in the right spot:confused:

I have been trying to get pregnant since April 05 and thought it might be good to talk to others about it!!

It seems that since I have been trying that everyone else around me is getting pregnant - 15 people I personally knew either had a baby or fell pregnant last year! And so far this year 3 people I personally know have told me they are pregnant!!

Everyone says don't think about it, relax and it will happen but that is a lot easier said than done.

Anyway, I don't mean to start off sounding so down and out, I would just like the reasurance that I am in the right place!!

Hi Blueshell, welcome to Bubhub. I hope you'll find lots of support here :) I always found that when I was wanting to be pregnant, and when I was pregnant, it seemed the streets around me were absolutely full of big bellies. I don't know why, I guess we just notice it more, but still frustrating isn't it?

It is true that you I am noticing more pregnant women around me!! Especially at the shops so am trying to stay away from the shops at this point (saves money too:) I want to be happy for them and don't get me wrong I am happy for them there is just a twinge of sadness when I see it and a great big reminder that I am not pg!

Felt like last year the rest of the world was plotting against me! As DH said it wasn't our year to have a baby as there were many others around us that were instead - he belives this year will be a more successful year - let's hope he is right!!

You are definitely in the right place to chat to others in the same boat - I'm like you and have been trying since Sep/Oct last year. You'll find heaps of great threads in the conception part of the site and all the girls (and guys!) are very friendly.
