Well tonight was the first night that we have tried controlled crying with Luke (11 1/2 mths) . It was heart breaking. I tried to be strong and just went in to comfort him roll him over and say goodnight. Then DP went in and was in there for awhile so i had a look and he was giving him cuddles and talking for about 10min. Argghh. Im trying to be strong though it is tearing me apart. Luke eventually went to sleep about 40mins later which i suppose isn't to bad.

I suppose i not really asking for any help just venting. I trying my best not to pay to much attention to his behavior then Dp spends 10mins or more in there. Then when i explain what im trying to do he gets all defensive.

Anyway Luke went to sleep by himself which is what we wanted, with out a great deal of screaming so i shouldn't complain.

Thanks for listening (reading)

I hear you LLM. It's a hard road to take but I'm sure you haven't taken it without good reason (we hit rock bottom before we bit the bullet!). Have you talked to your DP about establishing a "plan of attack"? It can help, although everyone responds differently in the stress of the moment  I hope things get easier for you - be gentle with yourself and you partner :)
