I spent from 10pm -12noon today at the emergency ward at the San today:(
To cut a long story short

DH was looking after DS and he took a tumble and hit the side of his head - no blood - bit of a bump - bit of screaming - but ok

Went out to dinner leaving DS with Uncle and Aunt.....only to be called an hour later with a child that was clammy and vomiting uncontrollably and eyes doing the occassional roll back .....

So off we ZOOM to the San - where we spend the next 10 -12 hours being observed. DS hurled his way through the evening till about 4am when there was no longer anything left.. and he finally got to sleep.

Anyway - aside from the suspected concussion they also think to top it off there is a gastro thingy going around which has compiled his symptoms......I am so tired!!

Anyway just had to put that out there and also ask if anyone elses's little person has gastro lately and what do you do about it??

Hey lucyp!

That must have been a bad night for the 3 of you!! How is your son now? Did he eat and drink? It's so hard to see them like this as they have no idea what is going on... but they can bear more than we think!
So hopefully youll get some sleep tonight!!

Ohhh that is just horrible for all of you.

The main thing to remember with Gastro is to keep their fluids up. Even if they don't eat as long as they drink. I have electrolite iceblocks in the freezer for when Harry gets sick. They help to replensh lots minerals and because they are an iceblock he is more likely to have them!!!! I got them at the chemist.
