Google the Tinybirds pattern. It's apparently a good beginners pattern and what I'm about to attempt.

This page on Ozcloth may be useful aswell:

Thanks Gremily,
I was going to search old threads for the same thing. My mum-in-law is staying with us and she KNITS !!!

I sew, and am slowly learning to make what I need. (I just made an experimental booster with layers of microfibre and a cut up "dri-cover" I used to use with my terry flats). Sorry, off the point, I do not knit so this advice was great. I will pass on the pattern and buy the wool.

I have BBH PUL covers but have always used wool knitted pants instead unless we are going on a drive more than 2-3 hours. Go the wool:smiliedance:

I've only just learnt how to knit. knitting help.com is fantastic (just omit the space between knitting and help!) for learning the basics of knitting and goes on about advanced stuff once you've got the basics worked out.

Thanks so much for that! I've printed out a few from that site and sent it off to nan lol. Hope she gets the hint:laughing:
