While I was toilet training my first child (started 3 years ago) I read a book about Elimination Communication, Natural Infant Hygiene, Toilet Timing, Early Toilet Training
Very interesting. However I did use nappies and he eventually went into underwear at about 3 and a few months. I didn't follow the system to be nappy less, however it was very interesting to read about.
has anyone else tried this sort of thing to teach bladder control to infants, toddlers or preschoolers.
I initially started looking it up because I was trying to figure out how parents in countries where there are no disposable nappies, clean running water and freezing temperatures toilet train their children.

Have a look in the Natural Parenting section. There are a few threads on ECing. http://www.bubhub.com.au/community/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=173

This is the section for mum's that use cloth/menstrual cups instead of disposables/tampons :)
