Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone else is in the same position....
We use cloth at our current childcare and it is a bring your own nappies centre. The centre we are changing to provides nappies and it is included in the fees. It looks like they will let me bring my cloth but won't reduce the fees. They started by saying it is a room fee that applies accross the board but then I mentioned the 2 year old in my son's room who pays $5 per day less as she brings her own - an option for 2 years + only apparently. Has anyone ese had luck in this area? I refuse t pay $5 per day to subsidise nappies and have to work full time and wash my clothies but my son gets less nappy rash in cloth. I also like the fact (This may gross some people out) that since he has constipation issues I can see how he is going with it when I rinse his nappies out.

Thanks for listening.

My son is about to start at daycare too, and even though they provide disposable nappies I have just decided to take cloth for him and to be honest it didn't even occur to me to ask them to reduce the fees! I just made the decision to take cloth anyway as one of the reasons I changed was for the environment, so even though I guess I will not be getting my 'money's worth' so to speak at least I am not losing out as the cloth is not costing me extra to take...depends if you have the time to wash them at the end of the day though I guess.
