Hi!
I dont really get that problem, but I usually take the elevit in the evening after my evening meal as it has less chance of ending up back down the toilet if I take it then.
Do you take it on an empty stomach? I think you are supposed to eat something first even if its just toast and a couple of biccies. If it is still making ou feel quesy, try taking it later in the day when your stomach is more settles and you have eaten something. But like all things, if it is worrying you, maybe you should speak to your doctor
Hope this helps!
I have just started to take it I am 30 weeks prior to that was taking the blackmores but decided this was better..doesn't make me sick but make me extremely tired!!! I will fall asleep like 10 minutes after taking it! have them with food maybe that will help, I always take it with food.
I have been taking it for about 5 months-ish and have no problem.
I take it about an hour after I get out of bed, leave for work then have brekkie at work which is another hour after that and so far so good.
I am not really a morning person but I feel a bit more alive after I take it. I lack in a few vitamins anyway as I don't eat much veg or fruit so this seems to purk me up a bit. I think so anyway. DH keeps telling me to eat better to avoid having to take vitamins but he doesn't get the full gist of Elevit and what's it's for anyway. Men

I was taking Elivit every morning with breakfast when I was preg & had no problems. I did try Blackmores pregnancy vitamins & they made me feel ill everytime.
Maybe ask your doctor & try another brand of vitamin. I agree that they should be taken with food if possible.

I take elevit after dinner and haven't felt sick yet. Although at the moment, I'm also on vitex and when I had that with the elevit at dinner, I ended up vomiting.
So now I just have the vitex before breakfast and lunch and have elevit after dinner. Those vitex sure have a horrible aftertaste!! :p
Like bambino, I also feel more 'alive' the next morning after taking the elevit :D

I had some probs at the start when taking elevit, made me nausous, sleepy etc.
I was told it may take some time to get used to, so 2 weeks is nothing! :p Give your body time to adjust, and it should be fine. If after a month your still feeling sick, ask your doctor... they may reccomend giving it more time, or switch what your on.
I have been taking elevit now for 10 months, I was pregnant for the first 5 months and now with a 5 mth old am breastfeeding. I take it in the mornings after breakfast and feel better a couple of hours later, a bit moer energy.
If you are pregnant, it could be your morning sickness, plus your body adjusting to it. Try taking it after lunch or after dinner, when you may be less nauseous.
Good luck!! Trying to get those vitamins into you may be hard work but well worth it for you and your bub. Z :)

Hi there,
I never tried elevit, i was on blackmores and i had NO sideaffects with them, elevit doesnt suit everyone so maybe you need to switch??
Nat xxx
Are you taking them on an empty stomach? Any tablets I take no an empty stomach make me feel sick....Maybe try always taking them with food. Otherwise it could be the iron in it?? If it doesnt get better, switch to Balckmores and try Floradix for Iron - its more easily absorbed and gentler on the stomach:)

I was taking elevit initially but found it was often unavaible at the chemist (and I tried a few) so I switched to Blackmores and had no probs. Elevit made me feel a bit ill but I wasn't taking it for long.

I took elevit when I was about 2 months preg - cause a friend of mine swore it was the best thing ever - I felt sick and queazy and even more tired - put it down to morning sickness until I stopped taking it and felt much better - made me feel like a giant cover was being pulled down over me - I think it's the iron content???? If you don't need iron too much can make u feel ill, so just went onto plain folic acid and separate calcium tablets
I took it as per the instructions on the box!!!???
One doctor told me u don't really need to take multivitamins (except folic acid) unless your really deficient in something - or REALLY throwing up all the time

I take Elevit directly before bed after dinner and don't have any problems. I think it is wonderful stuff and truely thank it too the miraculous fighting ability of my bubba due to all the bleeding and clotting I have encountered and all is good!

Thanks for the advice girls.
I have taken them today after dinner and so far so good :)
No I am not pregnant either no chance at all this month as we are not trying.
Next few months we will so it won't hurt for us to chart and see what my body is up to. First month of charting last month and showed I ovulate on CD 16 (26 day cycle) that sound normal anyone?
And keep taking these vitamins to keep my healthy :D

Hi, i have literally taken elevit for 3 days and each time i have taken one, within about half hour i feel weird and it lasts for a few hours: Kind of queasy, lightheaded and just very strange in general....that's why i have just looked it up. I feel as though it makes my heart beat fast.....like a stimulant of some sort. Very strange!
ps. i am taking it with food too.

Hi there,
I initially took Elevit but have now switched to
Blackmore's Pregnancy & Breastfeeding Gold. I take it because it also had iodine which is very important for development.
I don't find it gives me any side affects.
Just wondering also:
I am trying to find out about Vitex and wonder is it safe to take it as well as what I am already taking ie:BLackmores Preg Gold.
C:)
I hope

Vitex is quite natural I believe. I took it with Lachlan and Elevit (of which I didn't have a problem with), and fell pregnant instantly.
Their are many success stories on Vitex.

I have been taking Elevit since November last year. It never gave me any problems, I was taking in the morning before brekky. When I fell PG in January I couldn't take it in the mornings anymore because the m/s made me through it up. Taking it at night with dinner was fine. My PG ended as m/c in March and I have gone back to taking Elevit in the mornings and there is still no probs.
I was taking Elevit - didn't make me feel sick but I swapped to a pregnancy multi that has fish oil and iodine too. I have been taking Pretorius since before I got pregnant and it's been great. I usually get really low iron levels but they have stayed nice and high.
