Hi Michelle,
It is nice to hear from you.
I am pretty shy about Playgroups aswell, but am def going to make an effort to take Aiden in Feb when it all starts up again.
What part of Perth do you live in? We are having a meet up 3rd Feb at the Beach house in Osbourne Park if you can make it? It would be great to meet you.

Have a great weekend
Claire :D

Hi Michelle,

Look forward to chatting with you. I also lost contact with a lot of my younger friends when I had children. Joining a mums groups helped me make some wonderful new friends with the same interests.

Come along to the bubhub meet if you can :D

Take care,
Sarah

Hi Michelle!

It's nice to meet you! Would be great if you could make it to the meet. It's great to have someone up my end of the world. I am in Wanneroo. My brother lives in Butler. (Tash, Butler is way north. The very end of Marmion Ave.)

I didn't really lose contact with all my friends when I have Ava, but I don't see much of them, so I know how you feel.

Look forward to chatting to you & hopefully meeting you at the ossie park meet.

The Raffa base is that the one on Hestor ave ? If so my Nanna is there ! It's gorgeous - She moved in last year and she loves it.

I have 3 children and I'm 28 - Playgroup really isn't that scary (I help run one) but I remember it felt scary the first time I went - a whole heap of mums I didn't know and all of them were so much older than me ! ( I was 22 when Gabe started playgroup).
I ended up making some really great friends though so the scary awkward feeling was worth it.
The playgroup association can tell you all about the playgroups in your area.

I think the hardest part of motherhood these days is the social isolation - it really is hard to find mummy friends at times - especially ones who you can see on a regular basis. I ended up making a whole new set of friends after having kids ( even now 7 years later only one of my original friends is now expecting all the rest are still single or childless).

I like playgroup but i stopped going after having my second as i found the boys caught something and there was always that one or two sick kids there. i always wonder why they come when the kids are sick on know its for socialising but still. anyway my oldest starts kindy so i am thinking of going back this wk or next plus i am hoping that my son will make friends and i will make friends with their mum. i too am shy:p

The more mums at the meet the better. I too am shy and I am sure a whole room of mums who don't know each other aren't all gonna sit there and not talk!! So come along!! :)

Hi Michelle, :)

I live in the Quinns area, so i am close. I'm also that shy person who stears clear of playgroups but I want to be and I want my son to be in one. So maybe we could meet up, even if it is on a weekend, at least I am close by.
