hi guys
does anyone live here?
we are coming over from the uk and was wondering if you could let me know whats its like there
Yep, I live in Murray Bridge and have done for about 3 years, I hate it. We had to move here for our jobs (which we have recently changed) and are now thinking of moving elsewhere.
What sort of job has your hubby been offered? In my opinion, it'd have to be a pretty good one for you to move here! However, there are some really lovely towns in the Adelaide Hills (about 30 minutes away from Murray Bridge) that offer a much nicer lifestyle, like Mount Barker or Hahndorf. And Adelaide, South Australia's capital is only an hour's drive too.

whats wrong with it ?
It's at the lower end of the socio-economic range, it has very high rates of unemployment, crime, welfare recipients and teenage pregnancy. The shopping is terrible, the teenagers are bored because there is nothing to do (hence the high teen-pregnancy rate). One plus - housing is cheap.
Having said that, there are some nice sections of the town, but if I had the choice again, I wouldn't move here. As I said - there are nicer parts of SA to live, close to MB if that's where hubby has a job, than Murray Bridge.
Just my opinion...
