OK so i've been told i can give MJ full fat yoghurt. Does that mean i can stop getting baby yoghurt & just get a 1lt tub for all of us?
Also I know to stear clear of strawberry so should i just get Vanilla?
AND Last but not least, what about using my yoghurt maker, is that ok now?
Thanks ladies :)

i was buying the natural yoghurt, one day ran out, gave ds some of hubby's fruit salad full fat. It went straight through him. I thought maybe because of the sugar content. Not sure but haven't gone there since.

Yep go for the full fat natural style yoghurt & add whatever you want !
Sooooo much cheaper :D they only con us into buying these baby yoghurts cause they win us over with whole its better for baby etc. They are the same with just pureed fruit added & all "bits" removed !
With the yoghurt maker i would say thats fine if i had one id use it !
At least you know about the strawberry ! I must have missed being told about that hehe :o
Um,this might be a silly question, but why do you need to steer clear of strawberry yoghurt? Is it bad for babies?

Babies can have really bad reactions to strawberries. Its one of the foods to avoid till they are a little older like peanuts, eggs etc
Thanks for the info :) Muchly appreciated.
Oh one more thing though, Does it have to be natural style yoghurt, or can it just be Ski Vanilla etc?

BuTTeRfLy - As RB said babies have reactions to it & i didnt realise !
I was very lucky though as bubs only reacted by becoming constipated & having a sore tum ! So no more strawberries for him hehe !
But ive got friends who's babies have had them no dramas but i tend to err on the side of caution IYKWIM. :)
RB - Ummmm im not sure about Ski havent checked that brand out i usually get Danone or ummmm whats the name but its a fairly new range in a tub sorry will come to me at 3am & i will wake up & post it ;)
Just check out the label etc & make sure its full fat & no added sugar etc look through the list of ingredients & compare the labels to say either the baby yoghurt or a natural one this at least helps give you an idea. :D
Wow,I didn't know that.DD has had those Goulbourn Valley apple and strawberry fruit purees and the Heinz baby banana and strawberry yoghurt desserts, neither of which she's had any problems...I wonder why they are marketed for babies then if they can cause problems?
Or is it whole strawberrys you have to be careful of? The Heinz stuff only has a tiny amount in them.

BuTTeRfLy - Its anything containing strawberry.
Yep Heinz make stuff for babies with both strawberries & an egg custard ! pretty weird if you ask me also ! But one of my CHN actually called them not too long ago & asked about this & their reasoning was that they were only using small amounts & with the egg they did only use the yolk ! Still not good enough for me especially when a lot of us mums think "well the packaging says its fine for my bubs to have it" we often get conned into a lot of things this way.
Just be careful is what i say so monitor bubs like when you gave her certain vegies to try when she first started out & if no problems then you may find she will be ok with it. Its hard to say really.
Ds just polished off a tub of strawberry yoghurt  I hadn't heard to steer clear of it either.
He usually has one for breakfast though, so luckily he's OK.

Yes I know what you mean.I must admit I do tend to think that if a reputable company like Heinz says it's ok,it must be! I will be more careful from now on when choosing desserts like that for bubs to eat.:)

I was told that strawberry yogurt is fine. The actual content of the strawberries is so small that it would be unlikey to do any harm. It's only eating the whole strawberry that may cause probs. I've never known anyone to have a problem with strawberry yogurt. My bub loves it .

We go for the Jalna yoghurt - all the other ones seem to have alot of cane sugar in them. The natural one is great and you can mix it with pureed fruit, etc to make it taste yummo!
