happybirthday HAPPY BIRTHDAY MICHAELA
You still at work??
Lol nah not at work! I was babysitting my 3 nephews last night for my SIL cos she had to work (night fill) and had no-one to watch them.
Lana~ Hope you got home safely...your probably still  hahahahaha you deserve it!
Hehe i didnt get up until 12pm today!! Amity woke up and lazy me gave her some milk and she went back to sleep for me! I fed Griff in bed and we ended up just laying there asleep together. I feel heaps better now!
is it bad that A flinches when M & D appear  only joking! she loves talking to them and M & D always kiss her. M & A were blowing raspberries at each other earlier. i have to keep more of an eye on M when shes with A coz she picked her up the other day! not happy!
Ouch, that rash looks nasty, poor little thing! Hehe Griffin closes his eyes when he hears Amity stmoping on into the room!! She never hurts him or anything, she is just always in his face!! But is really cute because when they are in the car he just sits there and stares at her!
Hollie - I sort of know how u feel because i split with Amitys 'donor' when she was about 3 1/2 months old. I have never looked back though. I think everything happens for a reason and that obviously i was meant to meet him to have Amity then go our separate ways to get together with Sam (again). :hugs: for you!
I only really skimmed through the posts, sorry!
I didnt get home until 1.30am this morning and finally got to bed at 2... I was so buggered this morning that i stayed in bed. Once i got up i went to the shops though and bought my SIL's birthday present.

great sleep in lana :D (wouldve been better if you went to bed before 2 tho lol)
my mum went shopping today.. my girls now have uggies haha. SO cute! D's are like 2 sizes to big coz its the smallest they had.. she's only like a size 4 in shoes.. but she refused to take them off. and M cant wait to wear hers tomorrow at 'school' to show her bestie Mia.
anyway mum was in her element coz they had upto 60% off in some baby/kids clothes store..
actually lana its in freo so i'll get the addy from mum if ya want.. she said theres heaps of girl stuff.. not much for boys..
i bought A new baby bath wash & shampoo & this body balm.. its so greasy but meant to keep the moisture in. its the QV range from the chemist. no more bubble baths for her! hopefully she grows out of it. see what the dr says anyway..
hope you had a great day Michaela!!

Sheree - Kids look so cute in uggies!! I would love the name of that shop! Im always up for a bargain!
Sam has sensitive skin too (always has) so he can only use soaps/gels etc WITHOUT Sodium Lauryl Sulphate as that is the one that irritates sensitive skin.
Grrr... got AF back yesterday. Not happy. Once we decide whether or not we want any more kids i would be so tempted to have a hysterectomy just so that i dont have to put up with AF any more! Know they wont let me though, as its considered as quite a big op.
Very quiet on here tonight....

but thought I'd jump in here where I made such a big deal about how clever I was and admit my stupidity to you all!
Well done blue gin, it takes a very brave girL to do that.
Luckily there are no boys here to laugh!!
Shezi, that looks exacley like over heating.
Perhaps dress her in cooler clothes like a tshirt and ,ake her warmer with blankets. Monty goes beserk with anything long sleeved but seams to be ok with a blanket. his rash has cleared up.
Thanks again for all your thoughts.
progress today....
Frog found a place near by to live, when he got home he admited to a few things which made me feel better cause the best thing about our relationship was trust. I am very understanding and non jealous and practical. He knows I need to be able to feel good about our relationship so we'll spend time living apart while he spend time fixing himself. He definitely wants us to be a family and loves us both to pieces.
I have to be honest, my feelings change by the hour. I don't feel sad at the moment, more practical and want frog to feel good about himself. he can come and go when ever he likes and see "the rodent" and have dinner and bath time with him too.
So i feel ok about things. Had a fantastic climb so hopefully will get some sleep tonight.
Helping frog move this weekend and he can take half the furniture and everything else he needs so his place is comfortable. We've decided not to say anything to friends and family who don't need to know, we'll wait if we decide not to be together or not till we do that.
We really do/did have a fantsastic relationship ad its worth not abbandoning uneccesarily. In the 3.5 years we've been together we've only had 2 teeny little fights.
Where is the birthday girl?
Elmo... MASSIVE sleep!! Lucky girl.
I think Monty is going to pull out a big one tonight too.
Frog kept him up and entertained, he did a jolly jumper session and played with frogs face for 20 minutes, and frog took some fantastic photos of him. When i got back from climbing they were on my computer screen. Big smiley happy toadlet.
Brendans mum On Idols ~ my biggest crush was with...George Michael! Silly to think about it now, wouldn't want to say it out loud. Mne was Andrew ridgley.
Strange when you are 14 you don't realize they were infact GAY!!
Better do some work before sleepies!!

Awesome sleep Lana, nothin better than lazing around in bed in the mornings, especially in this weather!
Shezi, I am hanging out for some Uggy photos, they sound so cute!
Well done blue gin, it takes a very brave girL to do that.
Luckily there are no boys here to laugh!!
:hugs: Thank you sweetums!
I think it's so great that you and the Frog are being so mature about this, it would be awesome if after some time to sort himself, he was able to earn a spot back in the pond with you two. :fingerscrossed:
Very clever not to go around blabbing it to all your friends and family, makes it so much harder to get past!
Kes has been screaming most of the evening, not sure what's bothering him but even when smiling and playing... suddenly his lower lip will stick out and we're back to square 1
I hope tomorrow is a better day for him, can't be much fun having whatever it is that is bothering him so much :(

thanks for all the lovely happy birthdays! i had a good day, tried to sleep in but nowdays 8.30 and i am wide awake! oh well, we went out for brunch then went shopping at the myer sale :D our parents came round for some cake in the arvo. we've both made our curry pastes from scratch for sat night. Al has his simmering now. i'm cooking mine on sat coz its seafood. his is lamb madras. now we're just sitting around watching tele with Harper, he'll be off to bed shortly.
i had a crush on george michael too! i thought he was so hot, i couldnt believe it when i got older and found out the truth!!
Lana- that sux about AF, i am hoping mine takes many months...
Hollie- good to hear frog can live close by. my divorced parents did a great job of co-parenting, we spent equal time at each house, they always got along well. i'm sure you two will be the same, if you don't decide to give it another shot down the track :hugs:

lana  are you serious? i thought with a hysterectomy your put on the tablets(HRT) so its like being on the pill.. or is that just after having tubes tied? ok now im confusing myself! hehe
anyway chris said he wants me to get it done coz he said getting the snip would hurt! oh and something about balls swelling:laughing: sook. not happening. i said if he doesnt want anymore then he can get do what he wants.. my body is staying as is:D

oops missed all the posts after lanas coz i left the page open for ages..
hollie not sure about heat rash only coz i dont overheat her.. she's never swamped in clothes or anything.. usually dressed in long sleeved bonds pants and top. its really weird coz its only flared up in the last week or so. but i'll definitely try shirts and blankets tomorrow and see how we go. thanx for the tip:)
great to hear your day went well Michaela!
bg i will take some piccies tomorrow :D i hope kes is feeling better:hugs:

LL - Glad you had a good day! Get some nice things in the sales?? Yeah i think it has come back now because Griffin isnt exclusively breastfed any more.... Just another pro to add to the list of reasons to breast feed (makes me so sad not being able to :crying: )
Gin - Aww i hope Kes is feeling better soon! Could he perhaps have a tummy ache?? Thats what Griff does when he has one thats all.
Sheree - Have you changed laundry powders or anything like that recently that could possibly have made it flare up?? Different creams or soaps maybe??
I know a hysterectomy sounds a bit extreme but i am just so sick of having my period! It goes for like 8 - 9 days and after that long my body starts to get a bit of a reaction from tampons and pads.... not nice at all.
defaipe
21-06-2007, 11:20 PM
lana i was only thinking about that. i bought a new laundry liquid for chris's clothes but the girls one has stayed the same(purity). i hope it is just heat rash..
since having M my period isnt that bad.. before her i would be laying on my stomach but all tucked in knees to chest wrapped around a hot water bottle for a day.. i was on so much pain. had more pain in my stomach then i did during labour!!(i labour in my back for some weird reason lol) and it would last 5 days.. i dont envy you tho with 8-9days! i understand why youd contemplate a hysterectomy..
ok whoops bed time! its 10.30 over here. goodnight!

lana, do yo get bad clotting with your AF too?
Have you tried different kinds of pill to control it?
I actually used to get this when I was about 16 when I first got my AF, mennoreaghea (sp?). I think it can be quite normal for younger girls to grow out of having heavy bad periods so try wait a few years before considering drastic surgery.
While we are on the topic of TMI stuff and since we used to discuss all our bodily fluids while we were pregnant.
Since I've had toadlet I've had heaps pf discharge, almost like the mucus plug consistancy. No smell, not coloured, fairly clear or creamish.
I just had my first Af at 13 weeks too. Any ideas?
I've updated my toadlet photos, some with the nes Frog took last night.
Also got the devil nappy I made for him.
Elmopalooza
22-06-2007, 05:21 AM
LT - Yep sometimes the cots are bad. Im not on the pill anymore, i had an IUD inserted. RE the discharge i am the same (and always have been). They say it is normal and apparently just your body's way of keeping everything free from infection. You go can get it checked out if you're worried though.
I will have to have a look at your new pics later.
Griff did the worst poo last night! His poo is really starting to change to those horrible bottle fed stinky poos!!:barf:

LT love the photos, he looks like such a happy baby.
Jacey slept well last night, woke at 5.30am and then 10am!!! I got up at 8.30am and I could've slept until 10am too :(
Went to town to buy some warmer clothes and she was an angel.
Oh and she is starting to self wean I think  For the past few days the afternoon feed have become a nightmare!! she wont latch on and just screams so I give her a bottle of formula and she will take it and then offer my boob and she will latch on fine. I think she hates that I dont have the let down straight away and she is too lazy to suck for it when she is hungry. I dont mind in some ways as I really want to go fishing in 4 weeks time. I hate messing around with expressing so if she is happy to take formula everynow and then I'm happy too.
Oh Lana - I'm not looking forward to those stinky nappies either!! Is Griff fully formula now??

re M picking A up. yep what scared me the most is that there is like a 20cm gap between my bed and the portacot.. just enough for her to fall between. i felt sick.
aww iris & orlando are too cute! love the matching pants hehe.
mum picked M up from daycare today as she's been wanting 'nanny' to get her.. i was glad about that tho coz its freezing outside so didnt really want to get D & A out in the cold.
taryn atleast you know if you do need/want to go out that jacey will have a bottle. thats what worries me about A. she doesnt like bottles.. i know they say babies wont starve themselves BUT i tried weaning M at 9months and didnt breastfeed her for 12hours and she still wouldnt take the bottle. my kids are clearly weird. D hated bottles too, she went straight to straw cups at 9months.

Jacey again refused the boob this afternoon on her last two feeds. She wouldnt even take the boob at all on the last feed and drank 200mls!! Looks like I will wake up with pamela anderson boobs in the morning!! I should take advantage and express but we have someone looking at the house tomoz so I have SOOOO much to do, as we were not planning on anyone coming though until we move out.

Sarah-LOL, you're nosey like me aren't you! Just kidding, I was admitting that after plumbing in the hot water myself (and thinking I was pretty ace) it turned out there was a leak and I had to call a plumber in :o. He turned out to be a total failure which is where all the drama started, but after all that, my bro realised that it wasn't my fault, the part was damaged!!! *sigh*
THose pics are so cute, you must be one proud Mummy making two such beautiful babies!
I hope poor little Iris is feeling OK with those nasty toothypegs attacking her :hugs:
LT-love love love love love those photos, Toadlet has such cherubic features! The octuplets is great
Taryn-great, you'll be able to fish without worrying!
Shezi- :hugs: that would be terrifying, let's hope she was just giving her too tight a squeeze and she was protesting!
Thank you all for your concern about Kes, he was just as screamy this morning, though almost the second I put a finger in his mouth (he chomped down like a vice!) he fell asleep...
Anyhoo, I took him to my old doctor today and got him injected. Horrible experience, though so glad I took him to that doc as he was very caring about it. Kes screamed like mad but was fine as soon as I picked him up which was a relief!
ALas, he has been upset all day, just like yesterday, restless and sooky, trying hard to smile but crying a lot.
Where's my sunshine boy?

Had work today which was good... only a short day again but next week is end of month and its a BIG one!!
Amity was in knickers at day care today. She had 3 accidents where she asked to wee but just as they got to the toilet she wee'd. Oh well, at least she can tell when its coming now.. She did make it to the loo twice though!

Roxy is still up three times a night and i feel so awful because im considering giving her a bottle n the vain hope of getting more sleep.
Jazz was sleeping thru at 3months so i know im only comparing but i am just so shattered. What should i do? I already know the answer because i will feel guilty giving her a bottle for no good reason....
Im so jealous Taryn!! Jacey seems such s good sleeper.
Shez- How scary! I would have been as mad as hell!

lana that is cute! did you leave him there or wake him up? haha.
and i know with A its just that i cant leave her anywhere while they're awake. she was in her cot earlier while i was doing dinner and the girls sort of came and went but i was watching where they were and i knew they couldnt climb in the cot so silly me thought everything was fine. WELL A had moved position to the cot bars. my fault really coz i shouldnt have let them be in there but i could hear them talking to her and i dont want any jealousy like they're not allowed near bub. but her safety comes first obviously so they're not going to have a choice.
cooking is the main prob coz i cant have her in the baby bjorn.. too dangerous with hot food. once she's a little older she can go in her rockin jitter bug car but at the moment she's only happy in there for short times.. jolley jumper is out as well coz the girls try to help 'bounce' her.. and chris cant help coz i cook before he gets home. oh well i'll sort it out. just thinking out loud..
love the pics caithi! the scarf & beanie are too cute! poor little chicken doesnt even look like she can move in the last pic lol!
bg lets hope kes is back to his happy self tomorrow!

Sheesh! Dont come on for one day and you chat so much you need to start a new thread! LOL.
Gin, sorry to hear about the plumber. What a pr*ck.
Is Kes still taking a dummy to sooth?
LT, how you doing with the move? Glad to hear your dad is coming to live with you. That sounds like it could work out really well.
That discharge you are talking about sounds like it could be your fertility clicking back in. Sounds like the infertile mucous after ovulation?? Maybe its just in abundance while your body sorts itself out. Thats all I can think.
Monty is just gorgous! Love the big white nappy. Is he wearing leg warmers?
Dont worry about the fontanelle, it may just be like Leahs and small. I cant see hers really either as its only the size of a 10c coin.
Lana, have you considered getting a Depo-Provera injection or one of those thingys they insert in teh arm? I think they can do 5 year ones now but I have no idea the effects of AF.
gorgous photos of Amity and Sam. LOL.
Sarah, our first teether! Oh the babies are growing so fast aren't they.
Great photos. Your kidlets are so
Jaimie, leahs still up 3 times too. 11.30, 2.30 and 5. Sam was sleeping through at 7 weeks. I too have considered giving her a bottle but I think I'll just keep plodding through till shes on solids. If shes still performing then then I'll look at boiled water or something as there will be no need to be waking so much.
Caithi, if it dips in too much its a sign of dehydration but by the sounds of it with Nais 300mls thats not an issue
The photos are gorgous! She doens't look entirely sure about the penguin thing LOL.
Wow that took a bit.
Marc and I have a date tonight  . Actually going out to the gold class movies to see shrek. Think thats all our attention spans can handle at the moment  .

LOL Sarah, very entertaining
Anais looks so squishy and snuggly in that last one, I love winter suits!
I got so freaked the first time I noticed the pulsating head, luckily I was at my parent's so they were able to tell me it was OK.
Shezi-let me know if you figure it out eh? Been wondering what to do when cooking too! He likes his 'walker' a little bit more, but only lasts 1 minute max before the bottom lip sticks out
Lana-those photos are adorable! What a beautiful pair :hugs:
Hey, do you ever watch Power Rangers on Saturday mornings? Going by the pictures I've seen of you on here, there is a girl ranger who looks just like you!
ALso, you may have been right about Kes's tummy hurting, I can never tell what's wrong with the poor little fella. Ended up going to bed at 8:30 last night as he wouldn't stop crying, the second we lay down he fed and slept like a dream, LOL, I don't wanna go to bed at 8:30!!!

Tip from the baby whisperer, if whey they are crying their tounge curls up in a point (like a lizard) then its usually a sign of pain.
Also, if they are overly fidgety and pull their legs up it usualy means tummy ache or discomfort.

Gin, sorry to hear about the plumber. What a pr*ck.
Is Kes still taking a dummy to sooth?
Thanks, he was such an idiot
Yep, he still loves his dummy, but it wasn't working too well yesterday, I guess he was too far in to the overtiredness already. It only seems to work when he is in a reasonable mood and 'wants' to settle.
**EDIT: so when their tongue curls in from the sides kind of? Thanks for that, I'll watch out!
He does bunch up a lot when he screams, but sometimes it looks more like he is just trying to writhe around to show his anger, maybe it is his tummy!

Going off on a tangent here... but I just realised that my little boy doesn't even have 1 teensy fat roll! People always think he's chubby because he has a ginormous head and double chin, which is all they see, but underneath his clothes he is all bone and muscle :( Not a great deal to cuddle!
Anyone else have a scrawny baby? ;) :p

Wow sooo many posts... need to catch up big time.
Well this is a proud mummy post.. so i apoligise in advance..
Ok Number 1: I have rescheduled A's sleep routine so he is now down by 10pm and sleeps thru til 8am. So mummy can now go to bed at a decent hour. :yelclap:
2. I was playing with him yesterday (as normal) and gave him one of his rattles and he held it in his right hand and exchanged it to his left, back to his right.. clever little man.
3. I have been showing him how to hold his dummy and put it back in his mouth himself, and he is actually starting to get the gist of it slowly and has managed to put it back in a few times.
4. When i fed him yesterday he actually grabbed his bottle with both hands and they stayed for the entire feed. Now all he needs is the strength to hold it himself.
So a lot has happened last couple of days.
Ok off to read the abundance of March mum's chat.

Leahs having a day like that today. completely went to pieces earlier whaich isnt particularly like her. now asleep in our bed after 50 mins of cuddling to sleep.
the tongue curling from the sides is supposed to mean wind i think. the tongue curling up to roof of mouth is supposed to mean 'a' pain. i will have a look later to make sure thats how it goes.
i find it useful now to put leah on her tum after a feed as she usually does big burps. not for long though as she has a full tum.

I.... Aw gawd your mum bought one for you too hey
A...Yup does yours itch?
I... YES I just wanna do this to try and get the damn thang OFF!
Thanks Sarah, needed something to make me laug.
Annsam.. frog is moving his things as we speek (type). Just got a backpacker to help with some furniture for him. Got to pack up some itchen things as well so he doesnt have to buy anthing. Luckliy I have enough things that he can have what he needs. Did have to buy a kettle though, and a new iron for me. and Monty bought him a sandwich toaster thingy.
I go in waves of feeling pi$$ed off, sad for frog, pity for frog, broken hearted for toadlet and not giving a cr@p.
I have a very tired toadlet today. Fell asleep during eating and then being held by Frog.. he NEVER does that!
Anyone elses babies still clench their fists alot? Or scratch their faces? Toadlet rubs his cheeks raw, I have to put moisturiser on his face.
Fantastic photos elmo!
We saw a 10 month old today and Monty is the same size as him. ??????
Have fun on your date Annsam! Nice weather for special cuddles too! .. damn! no more of those for me for a while.
Hehe, just a petite bebe eh? I'm a bit nervous of a naked Kes, he's all flailing limbs and ribs and a huge head

Hilarious.. he may have issues when it comes time to get him ro sit up@ Put a counterweight in his nappy.
Jaime.. Toadlet has cellulite on his bum too. Quite cute. Actually , come to think of it, that could be the FIRST thing that Monty has of mine@@!!! YEAH!!
Sarah... are you on drugs today?
2. I was playing with him yesterday (as normal) and gave him one of his rattles and he held it in his right hand and exchanged it to his left, back to his right.. clever little man.
Clever boy Antonio!! I can't get Monty to do that, his fists are always clenched. How is his tummy time going?

ALso, you may have been right about Kes's tummy hurting, I can never tell what's wrong with the poor little fella.
 really!? I will have to watch it to check it out now!
If you think it is Kes' tummy i find that laying Griff on my lap n his back and cruching his legs up to his tummy while making circles helps, also 'cycling' them like he is on a bike helps too. Or laying him on his tummy so that he can do little farts.
Tummy time is going well LT... Neosmum A's hair is going blonde... err mum and dad have dark hair... damn i knew i shouldn't have slept with the milkman.. DOH!
Hehehe Looks like Griff's hair is going lighter too! Surely i cant have TWO blonde haired, blue eyed babies!! (sam and i are both dark featured!)
YAY for Antonio! What a clever little man.
Sheree - You need to get a backpack one like Hollie has, that way you can still cook with her but she is away from danger.
Anna - Have fun at Gold Class. I have been to the one over here and its awesome!!
Hollie - Griff still scratches his face sometimes if his nails are too long.
Just went to a friends house for the morning and a bit of a party. Its kind of funny because her eldest and Amity always have a 'battle of the wills' lol.

Hey all! I've been reading the thread lots today, but haven't been able to reply...
I popped Kes in the sling this arvo for a walk to the shops (I'm the designated baker for the next Mother's Group meeting) and he was so cozy that I left him in there till just before! It was so nice to have him in there all happy (looking up at me, dozing, sucking his hand) for a change. He stayed in 5 1/2 hours! I was all for taking him out to feed, but DH convinced me he needed the sleep, and he seems fine now so I guess he was right. It was so sweet when I got him out eventually, he wouldn't eat because he was so busy grinning at me, I think he missed me!
Anyhoo, great to hear that Kes is not alone in the boney-baby ranks! I just assumed that all babies had rolls (I know we did! LOL).
Lana-For some reason he screams when left lying on my lap, hates it. He does give humungo burps after feeding, I hold him up and he stands on my lap looking baffled then lets rip
I might try him on his tummy a bit more, maybe propped over the zoo pillow, do you think that may help?
LOL LT, yes, when he tries to pull himself in to crawling position he occasionally rockets forward face first, same when he's on my lap... he leans forward to look at stuff and I have to hold on tight! :o
I hope you have a peaceful and relaxing night tonight, a big step having Frog set up in his own place, but great that it's over with IYKWIM...
As for the MCN Swap, I'm still pondering (procrastinating...) what to do, I stalked my swapee but she gives nothing away in her posts about fave colours or characters or anything. Shame you don't use woollies, I wouldn't mind making a nice little woolly frog!
AD-Antonio is coming along in leaps and bounds! That's pretty amazing that he can figure out not just how to hold something, but how to get the other hand ready to take it too!
LT-Kes is still a clenched fist boy most of the time, I can gently uncurl them to insert his rattle-ring, which I have to do to help stop him knocking his dummy out, LOL
Oh, and what's this about hair changing? I thought if they had it at this age, that it wasn't going to fall out :( Not happy Jan. Grrrr, I love my little Flacco head boy.

Yep i think that sounds like it will help too! If you are out and he starts getting whingy maybe even try laying him across your lap face down (so his chest is on one knee and his groin on the other). You can then either rub his back or pat it gently. That helps Griff too.
Not all babies hair falls out. Amity's never did yet Griff had a bald patch on the back of his head!
Sounds like Kes sure did have fun in the sling! If he is ever asleep when he is due for a feed again i say just let him sleep, he will wake when he is hungry.
Sarah - yay for finding matching dummies lol. I was the same with Amity, they had to match!
I might even scan a few baby pics of Amity on later so that i can show you her hair. When she was born she had dark brown hair! Now it is strawberry blonde!

Giggle.. I just logged Monty's feed in the excel spread sheet and I saw frog had written next to his last session "out with nasty daddy".
Can't believe how good the toadlet was this evening!
Frog took some things down to is new place and I went with the toadlet in the backpack, we then went and had dinner at a restaurant, toadlet didn't squeak once, sat happily on my knee. Came home, bathed him and he giggled and gurlgled for 20 minutes flaoting in the bath.
he then scoffed 220 mls down half an hour before his feed was due and then gugled himself to sleep.
BG, i don't feel "happy" about frog moving out, I think he needs some time to get some things fixed up and sorted out and I sort of feel ok about it. .. this hour.
Very bad asthma today, going to tidy up the bomb shell I live in (Sarah, want to come do that seeing as you are so bored?) Cut out a couple of nappies abd then go to sleep all alone in my big bed!

Hi girls ... 2 threads to catch up on, 40 something emails, taking 4eva cos don't have broadband ... & I am tired as ...
Did my sister's tin, got one for E but didn't buy the paper & embelishments for hers yet cos it came to over $100 as it was, at least tins were buy one get one half price. Check out links to pics of it here:
http://www.bubhub.com.au/community/forums/showthread.php?t=57761
So stressed about money atm as usual at this time of yr cos of electricity bill, rego, insurance etc ... plus hadn't done groceries in like 2-3 weeks so that was $300. I got all those bills after i spent that $$ but we'll be fine, I just have to be good.
Had birth class reunion today. We all get on really well. Us mums are having lunch in the next week or 2. I can see us all being gr8 friends. As for the other MG I don't like the one who is organising at her house but like the others. This one sent a spreadsheet & everything for us to complete instead of using the rough handwritten sheet from NPG.
What's happened to E's sleeping? I am so stuffed.
LT - Glad you & Frog may work things out. I think it's a good idea about not telling ppl who don't need to know & I think it's also good about your dad. That will be wonderful, it's good you 2 are so close. $600 for rent?! OMG! I thought $270 was exy (well it's cheap now for around here but somehting else would be around $330).
LANA - Glad you got a good sleep in! RE AF I used to get it for like 9-10 days bad & with heaps of pain that I'd have to stay home from school prob 1 day each AF? The pill helped but then (TMI WARNING) I couldn't wear tampons anymore (only started after I had s3x) then a couple of yrs ago the prob was discovered was vaginismus plus the endo. I am not on pill now cos made me so sick going back on it. Hopefully it doesn'tcome back as bad as it used to be though. Still sticking with pads for now but will have to practice with tampons again cos of E starting swimming. I'm scared! Yay for Amity too!
Cute toddlers/older siblings with bubbas!
GIN - Hope Kes is no longer a grizzle guts ... maybe a growth spurt?
SHEZI - OMG I hope A is ok! At least M is 4 - my niece (2) tries to pick E up lol but we are there so stop her. She is such a mum, it's so cute. Also, apparently when I was a baby I never took a bottle either, went straight to cups & poppers. Hated dummies too tho!
Cute photos everyone!
SARAH - Haha love the monologues! I think E has been showing teething signs since 6 weeks. Her cheeks are constantly red now, heaps of drool, white lumps under gums & chews done hard on fists, toys & dummy. Does that sound about right?
GIN - Yes Bonds has fleecy jumpers. I got it from Big W. I luv Big W. She has a zip up hoodie with matching track pants plus that bonds fleecy jumper plus drawers full of clothes bursting out! E dosn't usually get a bare belly cos i use the singlet suits mostly. Do they stretch over MCN's?
AD - Yay for Antonio!!! Clever boy proud mumma :) E's latest thing is kisses. Something else you said A did E does too but can't remember what it was lol.
Ok couldn't read/write anymore as too tired. New Rule - DH gets up Sat nights & lets me sleep Sundays = he slept til 12 today so he can have Sat sleep-ins. I prob won't sleep past 8-9am anyway lol. I still have to nudge him during night to get up to her i bet.
Have a good night. xoxo

I was actually "slapped" today.....
Mark & I were at warringah mall minding our own business in woolworths when I heard this lady screaming at her child (around 4) to shut up then she said "fine, im leaving you here."
She walked off, he looked so sad, started sobbing, and she didnt come back.
I went up to him (Nai on Marks chest in baby thingy) and told him it wold be ok, mummy was coming back etc then she came back ( like 3 mins later ) and grabbed him by the top of the arm, dragged him up the ailse and started yelling at him again. He was of course very stressed and crying then when he wouldnt stop crying she slapped him on the thigh like 5 times!!!! Really hard..
So I yelled out hey! and went up to her and pulled him away and said if you want to slap someone slap someone your own size...
and she did. On my arm but still! OMFG!
If Nai hadnt of been there I would have knocked her out - what a bit4h!!
The only joy that came out of it was he stopped crying and everyone was glaring at her... I felt so bad for that child..... I wish I had done something but what can I do?:banghead:

Sheree~ yup I def. think thats eczema, I would ask your gp for a referal to an allergy testing clinic, best thing we ever did for O and maybe cut out some things from your diet that can trigger eczema like dairy products, eggs, strawberries etc etc
poor lil A its not nice, shes so adorable in that last pic Sheree!
Carrie~ that sounds nice about the birth reunion hope you guys stay in touch as how great is that your kids will all grow up together, great networking!
Am going to go sneek a peek at your creation after typing this post:thumbsup:
Yes re~ the teething I use the brauers teething relief when shes just grizzling BUT when shes screaming I use panadol as soon as the sweet nectar hits her lips she cooos with relief lol
Sheree and Hollie~ I'll just grab my broomstick and head round to your places to do some stepford wife cleaning okey dokey;)
So I yelled out hey! and went up to her and pulled him away and said if you want to slap someone slap someone your own size...

I go in waves of feeling pi$$ed off, sad for frog, pity for frog, broken hearted for toadlet and not giving a cr@p.Sarah... are you on drugs today?
LT, Those emotions sound pretty normal for what you are going through!! It must be pretty tough on you, I bet you are trying to be very strong for Monty as well! Maybe once Frog is out you can work out a good routine for you all and :fingerscrossed: you can one day be a happy family again, but if not, sounds like you guys will be great friends for Monty's sake.
I was actually "slapped" today.....
OMG That's terrible that she actaully slapped you!! And you are very brave!
Jaimie, Jacey is not the best sleeper - only sometimes!! Lately she has been waking at 2am!! I thiknk formula gives her a tummy ache! Anyway I'm going to try my hardest to take the time to express or at least start so I get a let down and can latch her on. I think I may be just forcing her to feed instead of when she is hungry :o She woke up at 8am this morning, tried to feed her at 8.45am and she wasnt having it, so thought well if you are not hungry I'll put you back to bed and she went straight to sleep!! SO, maybe she is refusing the boob cause she is not hungry. Its just hard when it is 6pm at night and she does it cause I want to get the kids off to bed so I can go to bed early too. But if she wasnt hungry she wouldnt take 200mls of formula either!
Heading around to my mums today as she is having a birthday party for Logan!! They are going away for 2 months and will miss his second birthday so are having an early one for him! Very exciting. I get tears when I think my parents wont be around for 2 whole months!! Logan asks for them daily now when he sees them nearly everday - how will he go not seeing them for 2 months :crying: And who will I phone every day to chat to. I phone mum every day, once or twice! Not looking forward to them going. When they went away earlier in the year Logan asked for them constantly - its going to break my heart. And my parents. Thank god for email though! I can send them video footage of the kids. Mum is spewing they decided to do the trip (around the world). I told her Jacey could be crawling when she gets back! - she said dont remind me  I dont think she will be though.
OK well better go, packing to do - tomoz is the BIG moving day! I wont have internet for a couple of days either

Chatty mummy's!
Well 'date night' went well. Leah woke and drank a huge bottle then fast asleep till 1am  Not like her at all. Im tireder today than ever because I think my body started remembering what sleep was like LOL. Sam went to bed well, fell asleep behind the bedroom door and when I went in to check on him I hit him in the head with the door. Opps. LOL. Only lightly though, he just rolled over and stayed asleep till I moved him to bed.
Shrek 3rd was good but not as good as the others. Soooo great to just sit in a reclining chair and have a glass of wine with no interuptions and not having to speak to anyone. Bliss. Will do it again next month I think.
Leah had a naked kick on the wool rug by the fire this morning. I love my fire on a rainy day.
Anna~ your such a show off but this time you've gone too far...Grease the original? hello that was made the year I was born not something to brag about hun
LOL. What year was that? Its the first movie I remember ever seeing at the pictures. Showing my age. :o
Annsam.. frog is moving his things as we speek.
Anyone elses babies still clench their fists alot? Or scratch their faces? Toadlet rubs his cheeks raw, I have to put moisturiser on his face.
How did your first night go? :hugs: Hope it wasn't too hard.
Yes, leah still clenches fists and scratches hell when shes upset.
Actually it was quite a dip - maybe I should pump some more??
Sounds good - maybe we can also try another one?? My house is still free if anyone is interested??
If shes dehydrated, she'll also be very lethargic, eyes sunken and when you push your finger into the back of her hand, it will stay white for a while rather than the colour come back quickly. Its natural for it to dip and such. I wouldn't be concerned. Its not dehydration weather unless shes being over heated but you'd know that because she would be grumpy and a bit sweaty.
We REALLY need to do a meet. The only weekend Im not free is the 7th/8th July as my step-father is coming over. Other than that Im free as a bird but I am oncall for births pretty consistantly up till October now so may have to do a last minute backout though its not likely.
I was actually "slapped" today.....
:
What a witch!!! Id have had her up for assult. Then see if she curbs that temper.
Re the hair, Sam was born with brown hair and it blonded up (really blonde) quite quickly. Leahs seems to be staying brown. he didn't seem to loose his hair but I guess he must have for it to have changed colour. With blonde though I guess its less obvious.
Breastfeeders: If you express a bottle, how much does baby drink now? Leah seems to take anywhere from 120ml - 160ml but last night finished a 190ml bottle so I dont know if Im doing enough or too much......
Ok, madam is calling.
Have a great day.

Ok just read the lst page and now im itching to see what happened to you Caithi!!! Will go back and have a look.
Anna- Im envious! How nice does that recliner and wine sound! Lucky thing. Yes you should do it every month too.
Hollie- Breaking up sucks doesnt it? As Sarah said (i think) once Frog is gone you can get started on a normal routine for you and the rodent. Hope you feeling ok today.:hugs:
Ok...who else still feels like a fat whale?? I am constantly bloated and i cant stop eating sweets (hmmm...is there a link?)and i know i have lost all my weight but my stupid tummy still sticks out. Its impossible to get out for proper walks as Jazz hates the pram and Roxy isnt too keen on the Bjorn for long and if we do try to go for a walk Jazz wants to hop off her bike all the time....grrr. I know im making excuses but if Roxy would take a freakin bottle i could go to pole dancing classes or something. Sorry for my vent, just feeling fat and ugly....
Hope everyone is having a nice sunday:)

  I cant seem to loose the weight and am really into sweet things too. Cant get enough (again, perhaps a link? :detective:  ). Apparently the sweet craving is a craving for carbs according to a natropath I know.

Morning girls ... no afternoon woops ...
Sheree - My sleep in was wonderful thank you! It would've been better if Dave woke on his own to get E during the night but at least I didn't have to get out of bed except when she woke around 7am this morning & he wouldn't wake up. She was due for a bottle & I brought her into bed & we stayed there a while then Dave got out cos i had a dead arm & she had a cat nap on his side. When she started crying he got her & fed her (& asked me if she needed a bum change - wtf? lol). I went back to sleep til around 10am! Yay! She woke me up crying & I ended up getting up then & feeding her after Dave changed her.
The dishwashing fairy had visited this morning too - I had asked D to do it but didn't think he would! Then I got pancakes!!! I am STILL in my PJ's! E loves them as bright green with care bears (they say "Shake that bear behind" lol) & she always stares & smiles at them.
How is A's exczma? (sp?) I find sorbelene helps mine & also (obviously A can't use this) Garnier Body Cocoon. Luv that stuff.
LT - How are you going? How's Monty?
Jaimie - nice to have you back - I feel like a fat slob too. I was losing weight rapidly when I was a bit depressed, constantly expressing, mastitis etc but now I am happy I am gaining weight. I am not eating much but since I have been prg i now like a can of coke (could never have them before unless a sh!t load of ice as made me throw up with my reflux) plus still have a very sweet tooth & back to choc every day. I ate better when I was prg as lost my choc craving ... weird hey ... Am trying ot get out & walk but my front pram tyre is f&*^ed so makes it hard.
Sarah - Wanna come do cleaning a la stepford wife style here too?? Lol. I clean every 2 days (just quickly with windex or spray n wipe) cos Ella keeps sneezing with all the dust - i hate windy weather! The thing is I'd only clean once a week when working but do a proper good clean & now I do quickies every couple of days. I see dust on white shelves in room or bathroom & I am like racing to kitchen to clean it!
Reminds me, better hang washing out...
CAITHI OMFG!!! What a cow!!! Good on ya hun!!! Hail Caithi!
We're gonna prob go for a bbq or picnic down the point around 2pm if the wind dies down so prob should go have a shower & get dressed soon hey. lol.
Have a beautiful Sunday

Tazzy, have a great day for Logans b'day.
Caithi, would there have been security cameras at the sop you were at?
Dob her in, get her for assault and for wacking her kid.
Well done Leah on the biggish sleep!
Annsam. surprisingly enough the whle Frog moving out thing isn't boythering me. I know the problem isnt a relationship problem and he's doing what has to be done to fix it up. We are still going out to dinner unches etc, hanging out and this morning we took him for a swim.

Sydney girls meet. Any time for me!!
Hair colour. Monty's is less bright ginger and is getting a bit darker.
Frog keeps saying to Monty. Mummy isn't like us is she. cause they look so similar.
jaimie, have you tried putting jazz in a backpack? They are around $200. You could put Jazz in there, get a super duper work out from walking with her on your back and put Roxy in the pram. Toadlet loves his.
I've been scoffing down about 2 tubs of Bliss a week, but for some reason I dont seam to be putting on weight, it may be because I am training harder with my climbing now I dont have to lug the toadlet up there with me.
Carrie you lucky girl getting pancakes! I make Frog "toadcakes" every weekend.
One hour till my pram is sold, had 4 bids so far.

Jaimie - Griff was the same re not taking bottles then a friend recommended the Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature ones. He loves them, maybe you could give them a go with Roxy?
Carrie - You lucky girl, you! Pankcakes and a sleep-in, I am jealous!
Hollie - LOVE the pics! Hehehe i love the little dunking sequence and the "dead toadlet" at the end lol!
Caithi - OMFG!! I cant believe she actually hit you! That poor little boy. Its one thing to give your child a slight smack on the leg if they are being naughty but another thing all together to slap them 5 times!! That mother quite clearly has issues.
Taryn - How nice, having a little party for Logan before your folks go away.
Anna - Yay for Leah!! Would be nice if she could do that for you every night! Glad you had a good time at the movies.
Its my SIL's birthday today so i organised with my sister to go halves in a Pandora bracelet. She loves my one so much and i think she really deserves it. I bought her a few charms too (only 3 as they are a bit $$) and then also told my mum to get her one too seeing as though she wasnt sure what to buy her. I think she really liked it! She cried when she opened the cards that my mum helped her two eldest boys to make for her as well.

Oh Hollie those pics are classic! I love them, Monty looks like he is such a water baby! I can't wait for Ella to start swimming lessons. We practice at home with tipping a cup of water on her face etc & she doesn't seem to mind! I also love "Toadcakes" ROFL :) It is wonderful that you & Frog still can have meals together, hang out etc & I hope he can sort himself out so your relationship can possibly become something more again. I am so proud of you though because it must be hard on you with the separation so I can tell you are a very strong independent sexy mumma & you guys are great for doing this for Monty. I just wanted to tell you that I admire you hun.
Lana, what's a Pandora bracelet?
Ended up going for a massive walk along beachfront today. Ella slept in pram, it was nice. I will feel it tomorrow! Lol. I am gonna try & walk every day. Just have to cut out the sweets!
Caithi if that stupid cow left a mark or anything & you are going to press assault charges TAKE A PHOTO. That way, once she is charged & been to Court if she is convicted you can claim Criminal Compensation. Legal Aid covers all Crim Comp cases & you pay back a contribution at the end but the amount depends on the amount you end up with. Only thing is there is no point going through with it if she didn't hurt you much or left you 'emotionally scarred' as it is a long process. If you want anymore info let me know & I'll see what I can remember! (Duh can you tell I used to run these files at work?) Basically a lot of Affidavits, statements, paperwork, psych visits, medical reports. Some cop we acted for was claiming for a girl scratching & spitting at her so she didn't get much. A bit pathetic really considering she should've been used to heaps worse.
Ok off to watch BB. Night!

LOL Sarah, Iris looks so cute with her hair straightend. And love the pressie.
Sorry I haven't been on much, haven't been really well. Had blood tests last Wed and rang up for the results on friday and all they said was I had low Iron again and there were abnormalities with the test. So have to go back tomorrow to the docs.
Cooper's been really good, and he slept for 13 hours last night so very happy, except I couldn't get to sleep til 3am and then he woke up at 4am so I went and got him a bottle and by the time I got back he was asleep again

Dont worry gals, i have put on 3kg too!! I lost every last little bit of my baby weight then all of a sudden i was up 3kg again! NOT HAPPY! I cant really see it anywhere other than my tummy pudge section. (or maybe its just because im used to the rest of me being wobbly!?)
I think if you showed it to the right person they would definitely want to help with her anger.

Emma - I hope you are feeling better soon! How is Cooper??
OK, my boobs are sooooo sore!! So far today i have had to release a little bit of milk 3 times, and thats just this afternoon! Its really hard trying to give up that last feed. They are so sore that it feels like any minute my nipple is going to go flying across the room! And to make things worse the bottles i bought for my Avent breast pump dont bloody fit so im having to hand express a little bit each time. There is so nothing sexy about it!

ok well good news is bubs rash isnt eczema. its a reaction to a viral infection.. she has a sore throat so dr is assuming its her body fighting it off. she is going great tho. heres the rest of the story..
i feel like sh!t. A fell tonight:crying: i was holding her on my lap sitting down and D as always was climbing. she jumped up on her and M's little table and chairs and fell right infront of me.. i ofcourse lent forward to grab her with my other arm. she went down and grabbed A as she fell. i thought she landed on her back.. i was wrong. she landed on her head.. on her forehead just above her hairline. and on the tiles :crying: i have never felt worse to be honest.
yes i know it was an accident. but that doesnt make it any better. i am here to care for my kids. i am their mum. now my 16week old daughter has an egg on her head because of me. its just not right.. i cant believe i didnt stop it from happening. i have been so stressed about the kids hurting her yet it was me who ended up doing it.
we were at the hospy in minutes, they saw us pretty much straight away. she seemed fine to them but we stayed for over an hour and she was checked on heaps. they said the first 4hours are the main ones with anything to do with head trauma. she was alert and smiling and talking to nurses. her usual self which is great. i just feel so sick & keep crying..
anyway thought i'd keep yous upto date. seeya

As you said, you are there to keep them safe and guess what, that is what you were doing! She was safe on your lap and D was in trouble so naturally you went to protect her as well when she started to fall.
Remember, kids/babies are pretty resilient! Amity threw her full cup (hard plastic) at Griffs head when he was only a few weeks old!! They cry for a bit (more out of shock and being scare than anything) but they get over it and are fine.
You are a fantastic mother and it is plain to all of us how devoted you are to your girls. If you weren't you wouldnt be feeling so bad right now. :hugs: :hugs:

LT- Copper or Sport Carbon for me
Shezi-:hugs: you poor thing, as Lana said, you were doing your job, you're a great Mum. Fantastic that she checked out fine at the hospy, nice bouncy baby head eh? LOL, just kidding, I hope you're feeling a bit better this morning and have woken to a happy smiling bub!
Emma-Good luck at the doctors matey, I hope you're OK :hugs:
Thanks Jaimie for prompting the 'phat March Mums' chat, makes me feel a lot better to see there are others like me :o... within 5 days of birth I'd lost 11 of the 16kg, then another 1 the next week, but I've plateaued there, maybe even gone back up 1! I'm not eating well, barely eating a thing during the day (though some choccy sometimes, oops!) as I can't get myself organised around looking after Kes. I then make myself eat dinner, but it puts everything out of whack. Not fair, I'm also walking 45minutes most days, and at least 1-2 hours every other day. I would have hoped that all the walking would help but no. I asked the doc on Friday about my bulgy tummy and he said it's all normal, he was very nice about it all and said to take some time and not worry but I want to be able to fit in to my old clothes!!!!
Anyhoo, that went for longer than I thought, LOL, back to read other posts now so I can see what you're all up to!

Hello ladies
Did anyone watch Rove last night? The "Tit Humper" cracked me up!!!
SARAH - You didn't use an actual straightener did you?! Luv the pictures as always & luv the outfit for your friend's dd!
Ella has just gone to sleep again. Must've been just a coincidence that when I started bathing her in the morning she started sleeping between feeds. Her cold stuffed up her nights though & she is waking for her dummy from about 12 onwards. I have been giving up & feeding her early when she keeps doing it cos I know she'll go to sleep for a few hours! Even though she usually has her dummy back (& just about swallows it!) she goes back to sleep she mustn't sleep very heavily. I make a bottle & get her up anyway & a couple of times I have done 'dream' feeds but she is so wet that it either goes through or just stinks extra badly in the morning when we get up if I don't change her. I obviously don't if she doesn't wake up for a bottle iykwim.
ANNA - Congratulations on Leah only waking once!!! Yay!!! You must feel like a new woman today? Hope the long drive is going well, Ella loves cars luckily & sleeps all the way to my best friend's house 3 hours away! I just go anywhere after her bottle. Can you take lots of pics of your friend's baby & post? I miss newbies ...
EMMA - I know what iron difficiency feels like! I hope the rest of the abnormalities are fine & you feel better very soon!
CAITHI - I LUV Kickboxing. I used to train like 5 hours every Monday night when I did it & it was something I was really good at. I miss it cos when I moved over this side there is no where that does it! You don't know anywhere do you? I'll prb die lol but you get fit quick. I was doing Cardio Kickboxing for an hour, then a cross country run, then either Tora Bushido or Tigress Kickboxing. At first I made it only like 200m in the run & after a few weeks I was making it all the way & beating everyone lol. Luv it! Luv the muscles too!
We have a water leak in our driveway. There is already a patch there from where it has happened before. The plumber investigated last week & contacted the Council as it is on the Council's side of the property. I woke on Friday morning(?) to see a big bobcat out my window & had to race across to the bathroom to put a bra & some trackies on lol. This morning I was already up & awake & changed (planning to go back to bed after E's feed etc) & this bobcat turned up. The guy was sitting in it for ages outside just cleaning his windows so started thinking it's not for our driveway but about 1 1/2 hours later a Council truck turned up with other dudes in it. Of course one of them knocked on the door when I was changing Ella! Lucky her window is close to the front door on the front of the house so I opened it & he came over & told me what they were doing. They will have to turn water off (will advise me), they are digging up the driveway now & they will apparently have to block off the street! Lucky there are only 4 houses in our street lol. At least it will be fixed. I had asked the agent if we would be liable for excess water & she said no definitely not, if the owner is charged for more water than usual (he covers a certain amount & then we would pay for excess but haven't had to yet) then he can put a claim into the Council.
SHEZI - Poor A but I agree with Lana, you are a good mum cos you were trying to rescue D at the same time. A is obviously fine so I know that it is hard not to worry but try not to! I have banged E's head so many times ... woops - i usually get it in the hallway but she doesn't react unless I do ... I have also banged her head on the car door or roof a couple of times ... she gives me this shocked po'd look!
I think i told you girls last night we went for a long walk yesterday along the beachfront? I am not even sore today! Yay! Anyway the plan was to walk to SIL's either late this afternoon & Dave pick me up after work or maybe I will go around lunch time & spend the afternoon there. Depends when she is going for her walk. It is raining though on and off. Ella has her plastic weather cover for the pram but I don't wanna get satched lol. Can just picture me walking pushing the pram, saturated, pulling my jeans up haha ... Jade is doing weight watchers with her mum & walking 40 mins every day & has lost 5kg so far so I am inspired!
Speaking of inspiration, I am so in the mood to scrap but have scrapper's block ... Don't ya hate that?! I only like Ella's first page in her album. The rest aren't very up to standard ... Mum still wants me to mainly do Mandi's album, she is gonna do some but ffs she printed out like 200 photos the other day & ordered 2 packs of refills!!! And she wants it to be good ... no pressure or anything lol. With Mandi's Tin I did Mandi's Memories & with Ella's I think Ella's Treasures but it'd be good if I could use E E iykwim? Ella's Enchanted Treasures? Lol. I wouldn't mind doing some tins to keep scrap stuff in either.
LT - Lol you aren't a cold hearted b*tch you just stand up for yourself & don't put up with any cr@p. If I didn't put up with cr@p Dave & I wouldn't be here today, 9 1/2 yrs later - he broke my heart over & over something chronic when I was younger. Let's just say he was doing naughty things he shouldn't be doing & paid for it twice. Although he came through it all for me.
WHO ELSE? Well gonna def start battle of the bulge today. Apart from the choc I ate before ... I'd better finish all the cr@p i bought at shopping though - don't want it to go to waste LOL :)
AND THE MAMMOTH POST AWARD GOES TO ... (drum roll please ...) ...

Wriggle proof leg straps.
k, Siclk of toadlet wriggling p the cot and banging his head on the bars, even with a bumper he yells and screams.
I am going to buy some thick elastic and make some wriggle proof leg braclets.
Wrap them around his ankles like bungi cords and tie the excess to the side of the cot. That way he has some leg movement but can't move upwards!

thanx all for your comments. amazingly A barely has a mark now. i still feel terrible & sick & even the thought of it makes me upset. its put me off having anymore soon anyway. i cant be in 3 places at once and its not fair on them. will contemplate more when A is at school.
dp surprised me last night as he seemed to actually care i was upset.. i was starting to feel much better about us as a couple and what not and well nope back to square one now.. my brother dropped by earlier and i was talking about the girls.. dp cut in with a 'just drop em on thier heads.. that'll shut em up for a bit' i was so p!ssed & upset then he said he'd told his mum so no doubt i'll cop sh!t there coz his family think im so over the top with looking after the girls so this is like gold to them. after my bro left i was like 'you're a pr!ck.. you say nothing to me till you have an audience'
is it really too much to ask to have a supportive partner?!
im beating myself up enough about what happened. i didnt want people to know. i wont be able to deal with people saying sh!t about it. i just feel like cr@p.
anyway onto nicer things..
hollie if you ever feel like making a girls swimming nappy please let me know and how much. :D excellent idea!
welcome Mel and your 4 littlies.
my nans birthday today so went there for lunch.. they live about 45mins away. it was nice to get out. M & D didnt sleep tho apart from D getting 10mins in the car. she is just so full on. my granparents have a split level backyard(4steps to grass up the top & pavers down the bottom) and well ofcourse D wanted to run straight off the grass onto the pavers.. thing is she's so little the drop is almost as big as her! needless to say we didnt stay long!
my brother and his g/f and their 2 girls are coming over thursday night.. should be good. they're enrolling their oldest into the same daycare as M as they're both 3. they'll be going to kindy together too. well if we havent moved anyway. dp doesnt want to live here anymore. i refuse to move away from my family. i need support. thats the bottom line. if i had some from him i would move. he says it would be different if we werent living so close. i think thats cr@p.
anyway forgot most of what was written will go reread. sorry for my depressing posts again!

He goes beserk when I try to put a hat on him cause he get so hot all the time, so it wouldn't get used.
My mother bought him a nahd knitted jumper hat and mittens from NZ, really nice and he hasn't worn it once.
The most I can put him in is a loose fitting body suit.

Actually I'm not really down at all. Everything is way too normal, just Frog living else where. He's made an appointment to see a psych, one he saw for anxiety attacks and was really helpful, so he's serious about fixing things up.

Dumping down here.
My dilemma: I sold my Pil and teds and now my Emmaljunga doesnt have a rain cover.

Can you just get a cheap generic universal rain cover that fits your old pram (you can get them from big w and kmart etc for like $20)
And then wait for your pram, no point in paying good money for a colour you dont like

LT, that's great to hear that Frog is working so hard on this, hopefully it doesn't take too long.
Sarah-:hugs: I hope there is a future for you guys, I remember you saying once how much money had to do with it, gee I hate money, it's the only reason we ever have problems either.
:fingerscrossed: your friends new meds work!
I've got some stupid tummy bug, spending the day running back and forth to the bathroom; poor Kes is not amused! I thought the fever had broken over night as I got out of bed all dizzy and sick and lay on the cold tiles for a while and felt really good afterwards. Let's hope the poor wee boy doesn't catch it.
He is really bored, any suggestions guys? I'm having trouble rocking him as it makes me :barf:, and can't really have him in the sling for the same reason. He just keeps crying and looking so depressed, it's heartbreaking.
Shezi- That's not fair of him to say that to your bro, how bl00dy annoying that he had to ruin everything with that. Great to hear that A is so much better though!
Of course each relationship is different, but for us I found DH was a much much better partner once we moved away from my parents, I think he used them as a cop-out from having to do stuff. Kind of having the benefits of having a wife, but not having to do the work!
In saying that though, I still miss living close, especially now with Kes, but I've noticed he hardly plays with Kes at all once my family are around, he's happy for them to entertain him
So any ideas for my poor bored boy? He won't play with stuff on his tummy, just rolls and then screams because he's on his back (hates lying down)...
**EDIT: gorgeous bag Lana! Nice to wake up happy, I hope it means you have a great day ahead of you!

Hi All,
Hope you are all well, Cooper slept for 7 hrs last night went down at 10 woke at 5 had half a bottle then went back down til 9. Would have been bliss if the others werent up fighting. I hate school holidays thank god they are at vacation care tomorrow. My 6 and 7 year olds are just going through a stage at the moment and is driving the whole house insane. Just wondering has anyone else started solids as yet, I give Cooper some farex for brekky and some fruit or veges about 6 or 7 at night. Anyway must go I have to change his bum and it stinks. Will chat agin soon, and maybe attempt some personals soon when I get the confidence up. Mel

BG- try laying on the floor with Kes propped up between you legs, so he is sortf resting up on your crotch...sounds weird but he can look around and they can see you which is what they want.
:hugs: for the girls with mean men...hope things get better soon.
LT-at least Frog is working on his issues..most men wouldnt even try.
Shez- Slap Chris around the head for me! :hugs: Dont listen to comments like that. Jay would say something like that:rolleyes:
Well i think im going to try Roxy on a bottle of formula tonigh. She was up 5 times last night and i just cant do that anymore...been like this for a few weeks. She used to wake at 1am and 5am but not she cant even do 5-9pm....i feel so guilty.:gloomy:

ELLA'S STATS:
6830grams
61.5cm long
40.5cm HC
Referred to physio for baby gymnastics to even her head out ...
Had 3 mth group. Great fun, met some great girls & clicked in particular with an English girl, Kelly & her bub Matthew (another!!) & Ella wouldn't stop talking to them. Cute. I think I was drawn to her because my best friend Kelly is English & moved to England & I miss her & she reminded me of her. That and the fact we parked together & walked in the rain together ot the clinic.
Tired mummy here ... what happened to E sleeping? She is sleeping day times. Hopefully growth spurt. Sucked a bottle of water last night as thirsty then still had a bottle in the end. If it lasts more than a week seeing my fave health nurse again to work out some tactics. Other one in the group said she's obviously hungry blah blah blah but Tracy, the one I like & have been seeing said no she can hold out cos she has been skipping middle of the night feeds for ages now so prob growth spurt or cold.
Welcome Mel of cours u can join! The more the merrier!
Sarah i wish E would to 360 turns lol. She doesn't go anywhere yet! Hope your mate is ok.
Gin you crack me up - Kes weeing on his face! Poor little chooken!
Emma I hope you don't have celiac. My friend has that and it is a PITA! Thanks for loving my big posts!
Shezi that's not fair what dp did telling other ppl. Hope you told him off, no doubt you did! I'm surprised your post wasn't edited about the swimming nappy lol cos mine was edited about bum covers all the time lol.
AD - Mum keeps telling me no need to spend heaps on E this yr for Christmas as she will be more interested in the paper & boxes! I wanna get her a plastic outdoor set with the slide etc though so will prb get that for her & something little.
OMG have to go cos Dave msged me AGES ago to pick him up! Woops ...
Hollie - hope you are feeling ok today. That's wonderful Frog is seeing psych cos he's serious about you guys. Hope it works out for you. I think u should get the pram you really like btw so you don't regret it. I have a rain cover for mine which i bought from a baby shop which is a universal cover. Maybe do that? Still waiting for new tyre for mine. Unfortunately whole front frame where tyre is wobbles like crazy now unless locked in but i hate it locked in cos hard to turn. Ok for walks but not anything else. Might take it back if new tyre doesn't help but i luv my pram.
LANA - luv the bag!!!
Gin I hope you are feeling better now.
Jaimie I hope Roxy takes the bottle for you soon! Does she take it with EBM in it? Maybe try that first to get her used to the bottle then switch to formula.
OMG I MUST GO! Poor DH!

Nope Cooper's not on soilds yet. I tired him on some and although he took it well, It was messy and a pain in the bum lol...also was a bit concerned about the allergy thing. His satisfied with his milk so I'm going to leave it for as long as possible.
Jaimie :hugs: Not sure what to say either, just hope Rozy will take the bottle so you can have a break.
Carrie I hope I don't have it too. Hope Ella gets back to her normal sleeping pattern.

hmm why so quiet on here tonight??
A is going for her needles next tuesday but i made an appt this friday to get another dr to check out the rash. i dont feel convinced its a viral thing.. she's not sick. not convinced its eczema either.. whatever it is tho i want to know.. its all under her chin down to the top of her nappy. also starting at the tops of her arms and a few spots all the way down and a couple on her thighs.. chris's mum said it looks like 'baby chickenpox'.. chicken pox would cover the whole body tho and she would be sick. i guess its just coz some of the spots look like pimples.. anyway the dr on friday is a baby dr and he seems to be really good. :fingerscrossed: he knows what hes on about!!
looking up rentals.. mum & dad are thinking of buying this place but havent mentioned that to chris yet.. wait till he's in a good mood lol. the average rentals for what i'd want is $290 so another $100 on what we pay now. i just want to be settled so i can get M into a school.

Sarah I luv those drawers & the Iris Rocks shirts! Ella is running out of drawer space ... I had to take her bibs out of the drawer with her pants & hats the other day & put them in basket with clothies on changetable shelf, take hats out, put them in white shelves, take towels out of the shelves & put them in a nice basket on the floor cos wraps needed more room lol.
What does that tell ya? Must stop shopping?
Hollie - Can't wait to see pics of Monty modelling the new pram! Celabacy? I must've missed something ... anyway I think it's fine to have some satisfaction when you are feeling up to it.
Lana - Do those closer to nurture bottles take thick formula? I am hating Avent bottles atm, always leaking when ya shake them and constantly getting blocked.
Shezi - You're lucky your rent is so cheap! I think it's time to move to perth! lol. Oh & dh messaged me at like 4.10pm & I left around 5pm, got there around 5.20 hahahaha ... oops ...
You know how i was talking about Ella's sleeping habits turning to sh!t? Well last night she didn't wake til 2am for her dummy, then I was waiting for her to drop it & go back in but she didn't winge again til 4am then 5am (she always has a winge when David gets up though) then 6am when I made her a bottle but she went back to sleep again til 6.45am! I was surprised cos she slept heaps during the day yesterday. She is having 2 sleeps between feeds now. Luving it! Lol.
Dave is going fishing this weekend. I am going to mum's on Saturday to work on Mandi's scrapbook then Sunday I'm not sure yet, prob just get a few things from Woolworths & ...
I NEED to get Ella some size 0 wondersuits as her 00's are too short! She has only 1 size 0 but i realised last night it has no 'paws' on the hands! Poor thing her hands are freezing. Dave will be back Sunday afternoon so don't know if I'll do much else, might go for a walk along beach front & get something to eat. Must find someone to do this with lol. Nigel Carrie ...
It is freezing here. Can't feel my hands! AT least i could finally do some washing now the sun is out. Also typical cos the one day this week that it is fine to go walking in the afternoon to SIL's house is the one day she is at work! Will just have to walk around boring streets... hard to get motivated ...
What is something healthy & hot & simple as I can make for lunch?
That reminds me - LL i hate cooking too so not looking fwd to making vegies all the time! At least they don't know if they taste like sh!t cos it's all new tastes to them lol. I was saying to mum she can just have jarred baby food but apparently you still have to cook them fresh vegies ... doh!

Does anyone else feel like a fat frumpy ugly duckling atm? I so NEED a make over ... I want some acrylics (actually prob not a great idea when hands in water but maybe a french mani/pedi ...), brazilian wax (unfortunately - TMI warning - i have to start over so this is gonna kill me again!), a hair cut that does not need straightening (always ask for this but my hair looks lie sh!t unless straightened) ... maybe get it cut short in that Reese Witherspoon haircut again from Sweet Home Alabama as nothing had to be done ... or put up with it & grow it long so easier ... hmm ... and I want a colour done, and maybe a facial (does anyone else have constant black circles under their eyes??).
I looked great when I was prg (not meaning to sound up myself) & now i look ****. I feel like ****. I want some nice jumpers that make me look hot but that'll never happen lol. And a bum to hold my jeans up. And some new boots & a big new handbag - one i can use as a mini nappy bag...

PS LT, glad you and Frog are still spening time together with Monty and he is getting help.
Shezi :hugs: about the accident with A - DH nearly dropped Logan when he was only a couple of weeks old and I mean - it was very close. He caught him like he was a ball or something. OMG, he felt awful. I didnt say anything negative cause I knew how bad he felt about it already. I just told him Logan was OK and just shocked (as he cried). I'm glad A was OK and you are a great mum and accidents do happen sometimes but dont put yourself down. And Chris can go jump..... he shouldnt have said anything infront of your brother. I hope he knows what he did was wrong.

Does anyone else feel like a fat frumpy ugly duckling atm? I so NEED a make over ...
yes! i have put on about 3kg in the last couple of weeks, eating too much chocolate. love it :shame: i am having a mini-makeover on friday, getting my waxing done then much-needed haircut. going to cut quite a lot off (its way down my back now!) but still able to tie back, i can't live without a ponytail. its for my dad's 60th, we are going to a dressy dinner (i even bought a new dress, wrap style so i can still get my boobs out lol - H isnt coming to the dinner but i want to get some use out of the dress!!)
Sarah and Taryn - Harper has a lump on the back of his head, behind his ear. he had an ultrasound and x-ray today, they reckon its just a fat lump. might be a gland, the paed is going to ring me but they didnt seem concerned. sounds like it is common then?

Frog came over last night and had dinner after his first appointment. I asked him what he made for lunch, he said McCains vegetables and peanut butter sandwiches. Poor Frog. I usually make him really yummy lunches.
I asked him if he needed anything for his flat .. like a can opener. I nearly p!ssed myself laughing! Nasty toad.
Shezi: lmao! just use frog. he makes beautiful babies
But I'm only allowed one!
Carrie: What is something healthy & hot & simple as I can make for lunch?
Mash potatoes. I love eating them, or jacket potatoes with corn on.

it was 100 clients yes. I now have 102 I thik.
Still debating wether to have another or not. It's hard enough running a business with one toadlet.
Plus one is very portable, two is hard work. We could luck out and get a little screaming non sleeping horro with the next one. Don't want to risk it getting my genes.
Can't believe how smiley and happy the toadlet is lately. I was a bit concerned he was a serious baby. The last two weeks he's been so adorable. Love him to peices. He likes peekaboo now and stares right at you. He's even lost interest in the telescope !!!

hehe be careful what you wish for LT, I saw a little bit of Oprah today and she had this African American family on.. long story short they had a son, then decided wanted 1 more for company for their son... TTC for aaaaaaages, no luck and then discovered pregnant, and saw 5 heartbeats!!! But thats not all, when she gave birth she had 6! One was hiding. Apparently at the scan she totally flipped out and had to be admitted to hospital . As she only wanted 1 more. Anyway apparently they where the only African American sextuplets all to survive, ever. So that was nice.
Guess what my Dp said to me today... we had a cuddle on the couch.. and :ecomcity: then says "i love my PUDGY girl" I coulda killed him, already like most here been feeling fat and hate looking in the mirror so that just took the cake. Then he said i don't mean your fat, you still have some baby blubber. /Slap!
So he did the dishes and scrubbed the stove to make up for it. LOL!

AD firstly glad your man got a slap! i saw oprah too. such cute little kids! the mum was classic! love that she was so honest. when my sis was preg with her twins she'd talk to mums of twins and they were always like.. its so great :ecomcity: all they do is entertain eachother :ecomcity:
she wishes someone had spoke more honestly!! she had to learn the hard way lol.(she has 2 older boys so she wasnt a first timer) her boys are horrors. hehe. no seriously they are gorgeous little guys and we all love them to bits but they are full on! so far this week she has cleaned a 2lt orange cordial tipped up on the carpet.. half a new tomato sauce(same spot on the carpet!).. and today they took the new $10 box of nutri grain to their bedroom and while one emptied it the other jumped on it. i can see the funny side coz i dont have to clean it hehe.
anyway thats with 2, 2yr olds! so imagine what 6 would be like
toadlet has finally realised telescope doesnt talk back hehe. he sounds adorable. and hollie yep one bub would def be easier to lug around than 2. only having to fit in with one routine also would make it easier. no rush to make a decision anyway.
sarah thats a beautiful design. did you think of using a projector thingy to enlarge it with.. would a library hire them out? that way you could trace it directly onto the wall.
ooo hollie speaking of clubbing.. i was talking to my sis and we're gonna go out for new years! sounds silly coz its so far away but last time i went clubbing was when M was 2months old.. got dragged out by my brothers mate coz he was working away at the time and we hardly ever saw him. made him drive me home every hour to make sure M hadnt woken or needed a top up lol.(mum was with her) only managed 3hours i think.. but hoping by new years bub will be off the boob and mum will have the girls..
anyway i've rambled enough! hope everyone is sleeping soundly! goodnight

I have also had the implanon before. I HATED it! I bled non-stop for 4 months until i finally had enough and got them to remove it. (oh and i have a small scar on my arm where they took it out)
Another plus of the IUS/Marena is that is helps reduce period pain and is actually used for women that have heavy periods. After around 6 months of having it in a lot of women actually stop having their period all together. Even if it doesnt stop though it will generally become a lot lighter anyway.
talking about eyebrows.. well mine are now 1 its really bad. my sis does all my waxing coz she used to be a beautician so she has a wax pot and all that. but havent managed to get it done lately so i look pretty bad. gonna use mums tweezers later i think..
Lol so is mine hun! How handy having your sis be able to do it for you though! Certainly save you heaps of money!
Jaimie - Yay for your hubby. Sam said he sends him some 'man sympathy'
Sheree - OMG i am imaging those 6 kids as 2 year old now. Actually im imaging 6 Amity's!!
Griff did two massive poos today! They were sooo stinky and bl00dy disgusting! They were really clay like and sticky. That horrible khaki green colour :barf:

nemosmum - Where do you get/how do you order the mag?? I googled it, but can't find anything?
sarah is the new shop till you drop mag out now??
Its actually called SHOP4KIDS but its made by shop till you drop magazine
It only has two issues a year and I got the 2007 autumn/winter issue at my local newsagent just before Iris was born so way back in march lol
You can check out subscriptions/sales/enquires at magshop.com.au add the www on the front of that;)
It is def. worth the $7 it costs!
Sheree~:hugs: I never thought of a library hiring a projector out BUT think they might will do a ring around and find out, thanks heaps!
Frog took him out in the backpack and out for a coffee. He's already into the "cafe culture" at 3.5 months! I think he goes to a cafe for feeding/hanging out about 3 times a week atleast.
Wait till he can talk and orders himself a "baby cino porvevore" LOL:laughing:
AD~ OMG:eek: I would have needed resus if they had found five heartbeats at my U/S thats for sure!hahahahahahaha
so far this week she has cleaned a 2lt orange cordial tipped up on the carpet.. half a new tomato sauce(same spot on the carpet!).. and today they took the new $10 box of nutri grain to their bedroom and while one emptied it the other jumped on it. i can see the funny side coz i dont have to clean it hehe.
See thats the problem lol the cordial, tomato sauce and nutrgrain......full of sugar and additives that send lil two yr old twins hyper LOL hahahahahaha
I know if O has anything BUT water he is climbing the walls and driving me to Drink!
OMG i am imaging those 6 kids as 2 year old now. Actually im imaging 6 Amity's!!
Now you've got me thinking...6 lil Orlando's surely god couldnt be that vengeful LOL
Have a great morning girls

Morning
Another gr8 sleep by Ella ... she must've heard the CHN talking lol. Woke up at 1, 2, 3, 4 for dummy & went straight back to sleep, got her up just after 5am (& she stank lol) to take dh to work & she didn't have a bottle & bum change til we got to mums around 7am. Luvn this, she just has to stop waking up every hour of the morning for the stupid dummy.
Jacey's 4 month stats:
4.47KG
65cm long
41cm head
Oh and Carrie I do feel like an ugly fat duckling!! I need a serious hair cut and eye brow wax! And to lose 5 kg would be nice too.
You have a long skinny one there Taryn! Ella was 5.4kg at her 2 mth needles & 4kg at her 4 wk check up!
Yeah I need to lose like ... 20kg!! :banghead:
yeh i want him to have nice vegies, that jar stuff smells weird lol. i will get Al to make it and freeze it for me
yes! i have put on about 3kg in the last couple of weeks, eating too much chocolate. ...
Yeah I'll prob get dave the ex-cook to do it to lol. I wouldn't wanna eat my creations!
Oh & I am like as heavy now as I was when I was 5 mths prg ... choc ... I always gain weight in winter & lose in summer. All day yesterday I munched on m&m's i found hidden in my stash I forgot about & skipped lunch ... at least i have vegies & salad every night for dinner.
I asked him if he needed anything for his flat .. like a can opener. I nearly p!ssed myself laughing! Nasty toad.
Carrie:
Mash potatoes. I love eating them, or jacket potatoes with corn on.
I need a bum too@ When i am skinny my titties look like marbles in a sock and my bum disapears.
 Hollie that's funny.
My prob is NOT that i am too skinny ... I wish jellyfish!! Just have a flat **** lol. Pants that are tight in the tummy area are massive on my behind & fall down to my knees, so embarrassing but belts would then make front cut in when I sit down - my belly, even when I was skinny, always expands by 100 when I sit down :crying:
i am also a member of the "no bum club", flat butt here. looks even worse with my muffin top i need slow-release sugar patches so i stop gutsing sweets at night!
AD, Shezi, I luv'd those sextuplets, how cute were they?! And she breastfed ALL of them! I can't believe she did it for 6 mths & they dried her up. When I was feeding & expressing I was depressed cos that's all i was doing, expressing after each feed & no time for anything else, didn't wanna go out etc ... I feel guilty for complaining now!
SHEZI your nephews crack me up! Sure your sis doesn't see it that way though ...
Ella is wearing her bunny suit from Target. It's nice and warm & so so so adorable. I'll get mum to take some pics of her & I will post tomorrow or something. I am going to my grandma's now, gtg chuck my jeans on.
Have a good day everyone.

Hi Girls - finally managed some time to try and look over all your chatting...
Jaimie - Hope you have picked up since Tuesday. Its awful when you feel like that.
LT - Great to hear Frog is trying to sort things out. A thought on the subject of a little sibling for Monty - baby stuff is easier with one but when they are toddlers and as they get older it may be easier to have another one so there is someone other than you to play with? Thats our hope anyway :fingerscrossed:.
Welcome Mel! Keep chatting to us....
Carrie - wow Ella's sleeping patterns sound just like Matthew. He is going from okay to bad to okay again. I hope she is sleeping better. BTW you might feel like you need a makeover but I thought you looked gorgeous at the Brissie meet.
Taryn - my good friend has the marena IUD and swears by it. I will be looking at it as well unless hubby goes for the snip before that.
Shezi - hope you have forgiven yourself over the mishap with A. I think we all have something happen at some stage. With Ryan when he was just a little bubba I had him sitting on the benchtop and he toppled off towards the tiled floor. I managed to catch him by his clothes with about 2 incyhes to spare before his head hit the tiles. I think I cried for days afterwards everytime I thought about it.
Needles - Ugh! We have a double dose tomorrow with both Matthew (4 months) and Ryan (4 years) due for their vaccinations. I have made two separate appointments so I can devote my entire attention to the one getting jabbed. I'm not so worried about Matthew as I have been thru those before and I know he will scream but then be okay really quickly. Ryan though hasn't had any since he was two and I'm not sure what to expect as he will be much more knowing this time around. Thankfully I am not freaked out by needles so hopefully I can help to keep him calm and somehow make it okay for him. :fingerscrossed: Any hints or tips from you other mummies with older kids?
Jaimie - let us know how your DH goes with the snip recovery. My DH will be very interested to know. Where did you get it done? We are in Brissie too....
Well I have had to start supplementing Matthew with formula as I don't seem to have enough milk. I think the supply dropped when we both got sick with a cold and he really didn't want to feed. I have been trying to boost supply since but it has been taking ages and I have been trying formula. Thankfully he seems to take the bottle and this afternoon after having hwat I thought was a decent enough feed off the boob he then drank 100ml of formula .
Gotta go - thats him again, just not settling this arvo....

so bored this arvo, Harper been asleep for an hour and a half... not bored enough to clean of course, just been bumming around on bubhub and another forum i'm not allowed to mention on here

thanx sharon.. doubt i'll ever forgive myself to be honest. and yep still gets me upset. thing is tonight D climbed on the dining table chairs and was rocking on it.. i was feeding A so i told her to sit down.. ofcourse she didnt listen and she fell off and the chair fell on her. all in a matter of seconds.. i didnt try to stop it tho -went to but stopped myself- which makes me feel even worse but i couldnt risk A getting hurt again. im torn. i feel like im putting one above the other. i just wish i knew how to stop D from climbing!! it probably is magnified coz i have 3 but every time i turn my back she's on the table!!
carrie the twins make me laugh too. dont think i'd feel that way with them 24/7! little buggers refuse to sleep during the day too.. my poor sis has to drive them around every lunch time to get them to sleep.. she loves them to bits and would never change it tho. even tho they were only trying for ONE baby and a girl
sharon let us know how the needles go. M is due for her 4yr old one in november..
hope things have got better anna :hugs:
lana i can picture amity changing her dolls nappy hehe. she's so cute!
forgot to mention.. A fell asleep in her cot by herself today and slept from 40minutes! thats like a record for her!
the rash on A is getting worse.. it wouldnt be teething rash would it? mum mentioned that earlier but we didnt know if that went everywhere on their body or not.. ya wouldnt think so but we're just trying to narrow things down. its improving on her tummy but really bad around her collarbones and under her chin.

thanx Sharon.. doubt I'll ever forgive myself to be honest. and yep still gets me upset.

:hugs: Shez, i still feel bad for when A fell asleep on my chest in bed, and i zonked it and he fell off me onto the bed and onto the floor, i could have died, he was only 2 weeks old. Still they are ok, and we shouldn't beat ourselves up over it, there are just accidents and we are only human.
As for A's rash as far as i have been told and have read, Teething rash is caused by drool, when the skin is constant contact with it, it dries it out, as does rubbing the drool off with a cloth etc, irritates the skin. A has a rash on his chin, so i have been using Sudo cream as a barrier. I doubt it would be that, but i am no Dr of course, so i could be wrong. :hugs:
Nothing to report here, nothing exciting has happened again, yet. LOL - Have a great Friday all.

Morning girls,
Just did a quick skim as I have Sam in daycare today so getting the house back in order from the past 2 weeks inside. One little boy and one DH make a hell of a lot of mess!
Well, not sure about doing the midwifery next year now :gloomy: . Looked at what it would mean for daycare and to travel to the city and back 4 days per week year 1 and 5 days per week year 2 would mean being out of the house for 11 hours a day and there is no way I'd put a 10 month old in daycare that long if I have the option and a nanny is a horrendous cost for that amount of hours plus I hadn't really considered the time commitment away from my babies. Gawd Im a sook. :o May just have to be a future plan again *sigh*.
Nothing much going on here. Knitted my first pair of booties the other day. First thing Ive ever knitted to completion then cut one of the stitches while cleaning it up :banghead: . (dont laugh Gin :o ).
My step father and nephew are over mid next week for a week while its NZ school holidays. Not sure where Im going to put them. Our house is pretty full now. What attractions in Sydney would interest a 12 year old and a 3 year old?
Anyway, Im off for more cleaning.
(sorry for the me post).

Thanks for all the feedback Sarah! :hugs:
Question! (actually scenario first), Leah loves her dummy but she doesn't get it while awake and often goes to sleep without it. The past week, shes ok being up for about 30 minutes then just wants to put EVERYTHING in her mouth. Toys (that she cant hold properly - one get her in the eye this morning opps), fingers (hers and mine) - basically anything that flutters past within reach. Shes always done it in the evening when shes over the day but now its every awake time and she wont go to sleep without the dummy suddenly. Do you think she may be starting to teeth or that its a development thing? if a development thing Id like to with hold the dummy so she doesn't become too attached to it, if a teething thing then I have no issue. No white buds that I can see but I cant actually get my fingers in there without the tongue trying to suck them :o .
Oh and shes grumpy as hell when she cant get anything to suck.
P.S. Sarah - with teh TT thing, have you tried food reward? Im not above bribary for TT :D . Sam gets a few M&M's while in the early stages of TT. Poo on the potty kinda freaks him out so he gets a few more for doing that until he realises its nothing to be freaked by. Just a thought anyway.

I agree - going back to work is a hard decision. I too don't mind Ryan in care at his age but I also want to head back to my 2 days a week in August but am feeling so guilty about putting little bubba Matty in there at just 6 months old. Will have to seriously think more on that one.
Re Sydney attractions - dont forget the Taronga Zoo!!! Can you believe in 10 years living there we never made it once! Had been once before on a visit back in the early 90s and loved it.
Question! (actually scenario first), Leah loves her dummy but she doesn't get it while awake and often goes to sleep without it. Do you think she may be starting to teeth or that its a development thing? .........No white buds that I can see but I cant actually get my fingers in there without the tongue trying to suck them.
Anna - I would say she is definitely starting teething. Just coz you cant see any white lumps doesn't mean those darn little teeth aren't already moving around under the gums. Matthew is doing exactly the same thing. If you dont want to give the dummy try just giving her little rattle/teething toys designed for bubs and let her go on that. She may hit herself a bit with it at first but that is all part of her development. That said if the dummy is all that works then i'm all for it!!!
Speaking of dummies - DH and I saw Matthew take his dummy out of his mouth and then put it back in today in the car.... :yelclap:.
busy busy day today! ... phew!
LL - hope you had your running shoes on :D. Sounds a bit like my day - Dropped DH at SILs at 8:10 (he's doing some concreting there today), go to 8:30 class at gym. Home by 9:45 for a quick shower and feed Matthew before dropping him at Grandmas in time to make Ryan's 10:45 vaccinations appt. (He was a absolute angel and no tears just a little indignant "ow" after the second one. Just looove him!!!) Then back to Grandmas, had a cuppa and a quick lunch then back to doctors for Matthew's appt at 1:30. (Left Ryan at Grandmas to play). Back to pick Ryan up, over to SILs to get DH but he wasn't finished. Left DH and Ryan there and have come home to give poor Matthew a decent sleep in his own bed before going back to SILs tonight for a takeaway dinner then to help her set up her wireless network.
Matthew fell asleep in the car and I managed to transfer him to his cot so :smiliedance: for Matty.
Sorry for the mammoth post - needed a coffee and a bubhub fix :D.
Oh bugger! That's him.... bye

Shezi, the nappy looks great on D! Glad you liked it.
Does anyone's bub still sleep in a bassinett , I'm moving Jacey into a cot this weekend but not sure how she will go (I didnt want to move her into it prior to us moving).
tazzy, you could try for the first week putting the bassinet (if it attaches from the stand) inside the cot for the first few days. That was she will still feel the same but be looking at a different place. Then when she is used to being in the new place take just remove the bassinet.
I used to let toadlet sleep in the cot inside the bassinet in his first few weeks cause we were moving him from our room to the lounge room.
he didn't have any problems transfering.
TOADLET DID A ROLL!! or as Frog said, he looked more like the Pasha Bulker listing to one side then collapsing onto his back. But he did it!
LL. have fun at your Dad's 50th. My Daddy is 61, so close in ages.

/tazzy, you could try for the first week putting the bassinet (if it attaches from the stand) inside the cot for the first few days. That was she will still feel the same but be looking at a different place. Then when she is used to being in the new place take just remove the bassinet.
TOADLET DID A ROLL!! or as Frog said, he looked more like the Pasha Bulker listing to one side then collapsing onto his back. But he did it!
we also did that with H's bassinette..
yay for toadlet rolling/listing lol. Harper can do a partial roll (from back to side) but only without his nappy!! when he's having tummy time, he sometimes rocks like he's going to roll but no action yet.
soon all our bubs will be crawling :crying:
will have to have another one heheheh...

thanks r&msmum. sam never did the need to chew on EVERYTHING thing until buds showed but that was my thoughts too - they are moving about. shes def not as happy as she usually is so its probably a good clue.
2 days per week isnt too bad. i have no idea how mums who have to go back fulltime at 6 months do it. it must break their hearts:( .

re the bassinet / cot thing. i put leah to bed during the day in the cot so night wasnt a major transition but it was a little unsettled the first two. nothung major though.
btw, is anyones bubs getting themselves around the cot? leah keeps ending up against the bars or upside-down.

took A to the drs today about the rash. he thinks its a viral eczema.. weird.. anyway prescribed a mild cortisone cream to clear it up. she also had her 4month needles. didnt even cry. tough little chicken.
A is still sleeping in our room in the tetra mattress inside the portacot.. hoping to keep her there till shes much more mobile. either that or sleeping through.
with giving bub water how do you know when its too much? is it possible they would prefer water over proper feeds?
off to get M from kindy.. bye!!

P.S. Sarah - with teh TT thing, have you tried food reward? Im not above bribary for TT . Sam gets a few M&M's while in the early stages of TT. Poo on the potty kinda freaks him out so he gets a few more for doing that until he realises its nothing to be freaked by. Just a thought anyway.
Im not above bribery either however its lost its charm atm maybe have ot up the anty to something more interesting and delectable :detective: hahahaha
I wanted to do the words to a song as a border in her play room - havent done so yet as I was worried about my painting skills but.... apparently theres this stuff you can buy - you print onto it and then peel - then you stick it to the walls - comes in A4 sheets. Will let you know how it goes!
Sorry to hear the pics of the christening didnt turn out thats sh!T!

I'm an idiot cant believe I didnt think of that :p
The past two days I have been putting Jacey in the activity station and she loves it. She can grab the teething toys and chews on them!! Its great cause I know Logan cant step on her and I can get lots mroe done like cook dinner etc!! Very happy about that. Obviously I cant leave her in there for too long as she isnt too strong. Well done Monty for rolling, Jacey did her first roll from tummy to back yesterday too!
Jacey is losing her hair with her cradle cap  She still has it and every time some comes away so does 5 hairs!!
Spag bol for din din and wombok salad (as I had to use the wombok mum gave me). I just bought that book 4 ingredients and I dont mind it, have written up my shopping list for next shop. We did a shop on Tuesday and spent $600 including meat  Nothing to show for it really though.

Annsam RE: Leah putting anything and everything in her mouth, sounds exactly the same as A right now.. he has been the same, and with his dummy i noticed he now pushes to one side constantly and chews it, and sticks his tongue out the other side.. very funny to watch. So i thought he must be teeting, so i tested by sticking my finger in his mouth to see if he sucked or chewed, and yep his little chompers went up and down. So in my case i assume he is teething, i looked in his mouth and he has some bumps behind where his teeth would pop up, which is a sign too.
So quite possibly she is starting to teeth. A has been grizzly on and off for no apparent reason too.
Hope that helps? :hugs:
ETA: Tazzy, this is what i did for A's cradle cap. went away ages ago. I simply used baby oil (j&j's) i put a fair amount on my hands rubbed it into his hair/scalp. left for 2 hours before a bath, used a fine tooth comb, that got 90% of it. and rinsed it out and then did same thing 2 days later and that was it, all gone :)

Just quick - Leahs performing. Think Im in for a rough night. Shes been very grumpy all day. Might give her a little panadol and see if that does the trick - perhaps she has a pain :detective: . Shes certainly not herself anyway.
LT, yeah I actually forgot I have a 'safety-wrap' which does the same thing. Valcros around baby and around the mattress. Im a bit simple at the moment. :o

How about a rewards chart? Put how many poos he needs to do to get a small but new toy. I was thinking of doing one for sam and doing 5 poos will get him a new thomas engin (his love in life) and put a picture of a thomas engin at the end of the 5 squares that he gets a smiley in each time. Not sure it will work but I think hes old enough to get it now. Something like that until the TT gets going.
Shezi, forgot to say congrats on A's sleep.
Ok, gotta go.

I have been reading all your posts but i have been at work so havent replied.
Very busy day at work today being end of month AND end of financial year. Got it all done though :D
You will never guess what happened this evening. Sam got home from work and had just put Amity into her high chair and was about to strap her in when the bl00dy chair snapped in half with her in it!! This is the highchair we have http://www.childcareproducts.com.au/product.asp?brand=1&category=13&item=481
and on the side where the cream bit meets the pole just snapped! And the back legs completely broke off!!
While trying to find a picture of it i also just found an article saying that our particular high chair was recalled. I wonder if i can still take it back even though we dont have the receipt...

YAY He is FINALLY asleep!! Wooo Hooo He stays asleep now.
Panadol must have done something.
We had to go through that too. Leah was feral yesterday but the panadol helped so she must have had a pain. Poor bub and I thought she was just stroppy.
Well...... last night I was buggered so I got DH to do a dream feed. Only problem - he left it too late so she woke first which completely defeated the purpose because I then has to get up and heat the bottle of breastmilk (while my boobs felt like they were going to explode but Im not wasting a hard gotten bottle of milk) while he comforted her. :banghead:
Also, what I was saying yesterday about her being really odd with the whole sucking / possible teething thing, it occured to me that shes not biting me (which I assume she would be if teething) and shes hardly drinking anything at the moment. Boobs are very full and shes farting like theres no tomorrow. Any ideas?
Anyway, gotta go. Sams home.
P.S. about the giving breastfed babies water thing, I dont do that yet as the foremilk is the thirst quencing part so if I think shes thirsty I give her a couple of minutes of feed. Thats just me though. Should start her on water so she doesn't refuse it later probably.

Oh so many posts! Lucky I'm at mum's so on broadband
Ella rolled on Thurs! I put her down on floor at grandma's & was helping her roll then she slowly but surely did it herself! Typical, she just likes showing off. She went out like a light after that big play & rolling!
Carrie - wow Ella's sleeping patterns sound just like Matthew. He is going from okay to bad to okay again. I hope she is sleeping better. BTW you might feel like you need a makeover but I thought you looked gorgeous at the Brissie meet.
Ella is sleeping better but annpyed i have to get up 4 or 5 times for her dummy in early morning hours but she can go without bottle til 7am (but usually feed her around 5 or 6 so I can sleep til like 8!). She is sleeping over in my bed this weekend as dh is down at Hastings Pt fishing with some guys from work. So much easier when i can reach across for dummy instead of actually getting up.
Thanks for that too btw!
Iris refuses the bottle (when i try to give her a lil water) she only likes moi:p hahaha
although shes started eyeing off our food lately and wants to sit up at the table with us....time for the high chair
Still haven't bought a High Chair - won't be buying one like yours Lana! That's terrible. I am sending the link to my friend Haylie cos that's the hc Mason has. Ella is very interested in food too Sarah.
What attractions in Sydney would interest a 12 year old and a 3 year old?
- Australia's Wonderland
- Toronga Park Zoo
- Centre Pt tower
- Botanical Gardens
- Ferry ride
- Luna Park
Sounds like Ella!
When can I start giving Nai water and how much? She is a huge boob nazi and I feel like I am a big nipple at the moment - might give them a break lol
They should be having 60ml of water once a day but think that's mainly bottle fed babies to stop constipation. Ella has been skulling down 100ml during the night though. Just used cooled boiled water & give it to them at blood temp like you would do with a bottle.
OK off to scrapbook. Haven't started yet!
Bye!

oohh I love welsh history, was wowed by the history of Llewelyn the great and his wife Joanna! fabulous and amazing people!
Can I ask how Llewelyn is pronounced??? lol as Ive always pronounced it "lou welyn" but thats probably so wrong LOL
AND why didnt you call Sam Llewelyn lol (no offense sam is a lovely name  ) its a fabulous name...is Leah a welsh name?
with the teething thing, Iris is bitting towards the end of her feed which hurts but she only gets one shot then i pull her off LOL

We have the anitlop highchair from ikea LOVE it so stable and steady and dead easy to clean!
AND it only cost us $50
Ok having to use a lil oil when washing Iris's hair as its going like her dads (steel wool type of texture)
so i use that stuff from avon (oil bath) to keep it soft and curly otherwise it gets dread locks in it while she sleeps!
Looks like I'll be heading to the African braid hair salon in the not too distant future!

Carrie, been a while since you been to sydney?? Wonderland closed a couple of years back. LOL. But thanks for the list, hadn't thought of a ferry ride. Will have to be a ferry with high sides though cause I can see Sam 'exploring'.

Evening girls
Wow it goes from 10 pages of posts to not even 10 posts in a day.
Sarah i just lost my post as I was uploading your images & my computer froze & shut down! I saw the first pic though of the brown dress & I love it! Hope she goes with that one, but I didn't see the others.
I am so tired. I didn't end up leaving mum's before dark like planned as they were having an early tea so I stayed. Beef Strogonoffe, Yummo! Then they had visitors so didn't leave til around 6.30pm. At least I ended up bathing Ella this arvo at mum & dad's so all I had to do at home was wash & sterilise bottles & stick a load of washing on. At least we managed to do 4 pages of my sister's scrapbook today. Mum is gonna come over Wed to help me do more. I have some to do in the meantime though.
But ... I came on here to check emails & wrote a couple of long ones back & haven't got off yet!
Poor Ella I think I have to try & hold her teething ring in her mouth tomorrow. Something is def going on. Her fists were red & raw today from her 'biting' on them. I have had the teething ring (well it isn't actually a ring lol) washed & in the fridge since she first showed teething signs at 6 weeks old.
ANNA - Yes I was down there Sept 1998. Luna Park wasn't operating then. No one has told me about Australia's Wonderland closing down! Why? Sega World was fun as well. The zoo was the best, I watched the orangatans (sp?) for like 2 hours!
GIN - Where are you? I hope you are okay?
M2B - Nic I hope you are okay too. How is Miss Madi? We still have to catch up again soon.
EMMA - How's Cooper?
Is anyone going to the Powder Chair Concert? (Powderfinger / Silverchair). I SO SO SO WANNA GO!!! I can't by tickets atm & they go on sale Monday. They will sell in no time though. They are $100. I haven't been to a concert since Black Eyed Peas in 2004.
Can't wait for Dave to come home tomorrow. E & I have had sleep-overs in my bed lol.
I am writing this in Outlook this time (complete with codes for paragraphs!) in case it freezes this is saved ... Sarah ... lol.
You know how I said weird things have happened since grandpa died? Well the other day or last week, not sure exactly when, one of the remotes for their garage door went flat & they parked in the driveway & went back down later to open the garage door manually. It opened, shut, opened, shut all by itself ... Then later that same night, mum was on the computer & dad was in the lounge room. Mum heard the garage door open & a while later dad came out & said the garage door was open - she had thought he had gone down earlier for something ... he hadn't. Dad went downstairs to close it & when his hand was inches from the garage door it closed!!! OMG how weird!!! It was like grandpa was playing a joke on him! Something he would do too!
Then on Wed night Dad got up to go to the toilet & mum thought she'd have a drink of water (she keeps water next to the bed like I do). She reached over for it & thought she felt someone sit in the bed ... then she felt a pressure on her like someone/something was giving her a hug & she heard like muffled muttering in her ear but it sounded like a bad phone connection ... (speaking of which my internet just disconnected!). She hasn't told anyone but me about this though as it sounds silly but I believe her & she said this has actually happened to her before, I think when her father died.
Oh & did I tell you about my aunty and how there is this plant at my grandparents' house which grandpa always said she should grow in Nanango as it is so easy to look after etc & she could never remember the name of it & always asked him. She has been living up there atm & obviously watering the plants. About a day or 2 after he passed away she was walking past it & couldn't remember what it was called. Zette looked down & the tag with the name was right in front of the plant on the ground, not put in the ground. This was weird cos Grandpa never kept the tags cos he knew what they all were etc & didn't need them. She had been watering this plant for weeks while staying there & it had definitely not been there.
I came home from mum's today & there is a Winnie the Pooh on a suction thing on the mirror above the white shelves G'pa made for Ella. Well it had fallen off & was all the way over under the night light against the wall ... if it falls off it usually lands on the shelves or right next to them. I dropped it from the position on purpose to see if it rolled but no it didn't at all ... I tried a few times. It def couldn't have gone that far. One of Ella's towels in a basket had fallen out too but that could've just happened anyway. But I went to ring mum & tell her and the cordless just dropped out like the battery had gone so I went and spoke to mum on other phone. I checked the cordless afterwards & it was fine ... it is always on the hook, it was plugged in properly & the battery light was not beeping or flashing that it was low ...
No wonder I am scared of the dark!!! Not that Grandpa would hurt me like a robber would or anything but just the thought of it iykwim?
I wanted to come to bed when I got home but I have been typing this & emails lol. Now I am so so so tired!
Ella is such an attention-seeker. She was complaining today when we finally got to scrapbook (100 phone calls, 2 bottles & bum changes later!) I put her in the swing & eventually put her on floor between us when she was happy again. Wasn't happy with me though, she was trying to get mum's attention but she was trying to do something so Ella kept screaming (not crying just screaming lol) til she looked at her then she'd smile away at her & talk. Kept doing this til I gave her to mum & they played games & Ella was in hysterics. So cute. She is so fun to play with now except the fact when you do play she does chunky-**** spews all over her & you!
Can't wait for winter to be over just purely because I have to take like 3 bags with me for a day trip instead of only the nappy bag! Cos she has to have layers & spare jumpers now, not jusrt one 'in case' plus then I have to take another bag with the bottles & formula then another bag with a rug for the floor, her spewies (cos they don't fit in nappy bag for all the layers!), a fleecy blanket, and another flanno wrap or something.
You know how I was looking into Kindermusik & it was so exy? Well I got an email from the lady who runs this local one saying there is a free preview class on Tuesday at 10.30am so I am going to skip going to that Shona's house for MG & go to that instead to see what it's like. I want to do it so bad from the sounds of it but it is expensive so at least I can see exactly if it is worth it or not. I will be getting more money from Bogan-link but I don't think the first bigger payment is til near end of July & the term starts 16th. Maybe I can pay later? Pity it's on a Tuesday though as that's when our MG was gonna be if we weren't going to sessions at the clinic ... And Tuesday is my day with the car without taking Dave to work at 5am so I also make any other clinic or dr's appointments etc then. Speaking of appointments, Ella has her physio appointment on Tuesday 10th July at 1pm for her head. I think they give her 'Baby Gymnastics'. I am pretty sure it is free too as it is through the health clinic.
This morning the home phone was ringing around 8.15am when I was having a shower & Ella was asleep again. I didn't get it then my mobile started ringing so I jumped out thinking it was prob mum thinking I'd already left to come over. The mobile said the caller ID was anonymous so it was either mum (private number) or David (his caller ID is on anon atm) so I picked up (meanwhile I was soaking wet, freezing my butt off!) and it was MIL ... "Oh Caarrie did I wake you?" I said no I was in the shower. She was ringing to see if I would be home tomorrow. I said well David is away this weekend fishing & I have to do groceries & a couple of things tomorrow but don't know exactly when. She said they want to come over as coming down & she will call me in the morning to see when exactly I will be there. I was looking forward to tomorrow to just doing some cleaning, washing etc, & maybe going on internet, getting a couple of things from Woollies then going for a walk on the beachfront with SIL/bf & niece after lunch before Dave coming home :( Anyway, I messaged SIL & asked if I could come over to her house but MIL had called them first this morning about the same thing & said she would let them know a time when she knew what time she was seeing us. I am going to SIL's now anyway & meeting MIL there. It'll take up less time & there will be others there, not just me & Ella! I still don't even know what time.
Ok I really do have to go now lol. Soooo tired! Have to put this washing on the rack first as well.
SORRY FOR YET ANOTHER LONGEST EVER MAMMOTH MOUNT EVERIST GREAT WALL OF CHINA TO KEEP THE RABBITS OUT POST!!!
Have a good weekend!

love those dresses sarah! also love solariums :D
:hugs: hope ya feel better in the morning.
michaela sounds like you had a great night!!
when i was signing the medicare thingy and leaving the drs yesterday the receptionist said 'how do you say that?' meaning A's name.. i was like Aalivyah.. exactly as is written.. she was like well no-ones going to know that. i was just like.. yeah well my baby my choice.. signed the form and left.. funny thing is she had written A's name wrong and spelt it Aalivhah  well no wonder she has no idea! i know when you look at aalivyah its like 'huh?!' lol. but if its read out its spelt as its said so i was wondering why she was so confused & so opinionated about it!
things have been busy busy busy here. my bro & sil's flight was delayed from thurs night to friday morning and they got back to mum & dads around 3pm.. their girls are adorable. M & Taylor are officially best buds(T just turned 3 in feb). theres only 6weeks between A and their little one Aurora, she was born January 20th.. she is so long compared to A. not surprised tho.. she is a shorty.
howd the parties go sarah? i think we've decided to have M & D's at a park. going to start making different cakes/slices/muffins and see which are some goodies to take along on the day. think i've decided on these invites.. http://www.thepartyparlour.com.au/products/?id=07a0956af05f1ca670ebf8646837816b&key=oM1oNj
i love parties :D

great idea carrie re the MIL visit.. spooky about your granddad but must be comforting at the same time.
love it when bubs gets to the 'attention seeking' age. my mum loves this age with A now coz before now she would come over and run a muck with the big girls so i could just relax with A and give me a break. now she would rather swap lol. nah she's the best nanny. i really cant imagine moving from here.
A is loving the jolley jumper and has been getting heaps more floor time.
hmm would like some input coz im confused but how i was saying about my sis and i going out for new years WELL chris has said he doesnt want me going.. i just sorta laughed it off and ignored him but last night he said it again coz i was talking about it and i was like why? he basically said coz i would cheat on him. i was like  are you serious?! he knows damn well if i didnt want to be with him i wouldnt be and also that i have never ever cheated on anyone ever! its just not me to do that.. never had one night stands.. never did any of that. i was so annoyed. i was like so you dont trust me? he didnt answer me but i wouldnt let up.. he ended up saying he doesnt trust the guys.. well pfft it takes two to tango..
anyway i was going with my sis and brother and a few friends. just doesnt make sense.. he is jealous and i know that. but come on! hasnt stopped me tho, i never asked for permission in the first place. if it all pans out i will be going. he was invited too but doesnt want to go.. he said ages ago if we were out and i was 'hit on' it would ruin his night.. ya'd think that would be a compliment  i wouldnt care if he was hit on. he comes home with me. and if he didnt well bad luck to them lmao!
anyway long story short.. do you think this sounds like a control issue? or more jealousy? i just cant work it out. he says i have 3 kids i shouldnt want to go.. but yeah fair enough im a mum but its one night.. i dont drink or anything so its a few hours of dancing and having fun. my mum is having the girls so its not like im leaving them with him.. and its like 6months away! you'd think if he wanted to argue he could pick something happening closer to now lol.
anyway i've rambled on enough!

expressed the other side and gave it to him this arvo coz we wanted to try the tommee tippee bottle again and it worked so well! he even took it from me.
Lana - if there is a recall on the highchair, you don't need a receipt, just call the manufacturer. that must have been so scary when it broke!!
Glad your dads 60th went well! ANd yay for Harper taking the bottles! Yeah i have emailed the company and will be interested in what they say.
Carrie - maybe try getting some bonjela for Ella. It might help with her teeth.
I havent fully read the posts as i have not long gotten home from a night out with Sam and some of our friends. I had a great time and had a few drinks too lol! I will read them all (specially your long one carrie) in the morning.

shocker of a night! so glad Al's home...
Harper woke at 1.10am and has only had a couple of naps since then :(
we think it might be teeth, he's so dribbly and only went to sleep after panadol. tried to give him a teether toy but he doesnt hold well enough yet. Al's gone to get bonjela.

michaela, it mustve been 'one of those nights' coz we had it too. A woke 5mins after i got into bed.. ended up giving her panadol after an hour. she was so fidgety and sooky.. but i think she had a tummy ache coz i ate spicy chicken the night before so i think it went through.. she was up & down all night.. my boobs were so sore this morning!
this weather is ridiculous.. i so want to go out for a walk! im itching to get outside..
sounds like a good night lana!:D hope you get a nice sleep today.

that bonjela is the good stuff! :D
he is now laying on his playmat smiling at the starfish hanging toy, his normal happy self. yay!
he pulled the funniest face when i put it on hs gums, he's only ever tasted milk and panadol (4x) before!! and that bonjela is a strong flavour... i like it lol.
so now i am even more convinced he's teething. do they always get front ones first? i can see white bits on the sides but not the front. i spose the teeth are just moving under the gums so they hurt him but i can't see them yet??

oh poor little A!
after our big curry night, Harps had a bellyache too, poor kid! i didnt feed him on the night (was having shooters lol) but i guess it got through to him the next day coz the sunday night, he was making little noises from 2-6am and pulling his legs up, poor bub. i eat lots of spicy food but i think it was coz there was 11 different curries!!

Firsttime? Frangi? M2B? B'sMum? RTC'smum? Taryn? Jaimie? and everyone else who hasn't posted in a while :shame: Must all be out having a life!
Anyway........ how is everyone else?
We are good. Lazy day today. Sams still in his PJ's. Im the only one actually dressed........until Leah pooped on me. Any other breastfed babies still really watery poo? Anyway, shes driving me slightly nuts. Im now not entirely convinced there is actually anything wrong with her, I think shes just had a big developmental leap in the old brain area and is a stroopy little madam when she doesn't get what she wants aka dummy. Her sleeps gone to sh*t (not that it was much to rave about before but it was ok at least). Im shattered and tried to nap but low and behold, the show ground is having a dog show so there are like a million dogs barking. No sleep for me.:banghead:
Shezi, tell him to grow up! With three children does he honestly think you have the energy to cheat on him? and dont you deserve a night off once in a while? Go out on new year and enjoy yourself and dont take any of that cr*p. Id go balistic if DH said that to me.
Sounds like you are having fun organising the girls birthdays. Must start looking into that myself soon.
Carrie, sounds like your granddad is certainly still with you. things like that happened to DH when his nan died (she raised him).
LL, so glad you had a good night out. Will go look at photos in a tick.
Anyway.......madam is awake..........AGAIN.

hi lovely ladies
well alexander had his 4 month needles, that went well, i had my chicken pox vaccine and got a reaction so i still have the spots, they are so darn itchy.
last night we went to a really important dinner for my dad at yanchep inn - its an old big hotel thats haunted and our usually VERY placid and giggly baby went beserk - he screamed the minute we walked in, for 2 hours, until we had to leave because he was just so distraught.
so i didnt get to see my dad inducted as a club president, which made me really upset, as he was really looking forward to me being there.
has anyone else heard of a MAJOR baby reaction to a haunted house? i am sure that was the reason, as he was not tired/hungry/windy etc.
His screams sounded like he was possessed - honestly it was gruesome! then, as soon as we got in the car and out of the national park on to wanneroo road he instantly stopped. it was very spooky.
The whole night i kept thinking of you Carrie, and your dear grandad stories....(which are nice stories, not like mine, but spooky at the same time :))
shezi - tell that DP or yours to get over it. what is he afraid of huh? that's my question - not being rude here but maybe he knows he doesnt give you enough help and support at times (like alot of our DP's!), and he is afraid someone else will woo you off your feet!!
LL - thanks for the heads up on bonjela - i'm going to get some in preparation!
Elmo - i am soo envious of your HUGE night out! Tell us more!!
Annsam - i am so with you on being at my wits end getting up for the dummy! aargh!
at last the rain has stopped for a bit here north of perth, must dash outside for some much needed fresh air with baby and in his babyjorn...

Hmmm must be related.. i don't actually think my Dp is an A$$hole as such, just that he acts like one,(if that makes sense??) we always seem to argue of late. Maybe it is me, i dunno. Im so over it right now.. we had a fight this A.m and he said im sick of this blah blah im leaving, i said good f off then.. and he is still here  (we made up) but still .. i dunno, like i have said before i have no clue why i feel this way, or what exactly it is im feeling..arrrrghhh

Morning!
Was woken up 6 - yes count them 6! times in the night. Leah every 2.5-3 hrs for dummy (I fed her but she wasn't particularly hungry so one must assume it was the dummy) then Sam decided to play with his cars by the light of the street light at 3am! Needless to say - mummy was NOT impressed.
has anyone else heard of a MAJOR baby reaction to a haunted house?
Annsam - i am so with you on being at my wits end getting up for the dummy! aargh!
My cousin used to see things as a child and yes, she had a major reaction as a 3-4 year old in a tea room which turned out to have been built on an old aboriginal slave camp.
As for the dummy, a wee bit of tough love today. Shes got to loose the sudden dependancy. Im not getting up every hour to shove it back in - thats just silly.
